AIMS
At the end of the lesson students will be able to:
1. practise vocabulary related to food (between 5 and 7 words);
2. follow simple directions;
3. talk about their favourite food (make 1 sentence with “do you like…?” and 1 sentence with “I like”).

PROCEDURE *T shows Ss some flashcards and asks Ss what they represent. Elicit
“food”; (Appendix 1)
*T asks Ss if they know all the words on the flashcards;
*T shows Ss one flashcard at the time and elicit its name, sticking a name
tag on each flashcard (Appendix 2)
*Ss divide the flashcards into food, fruit and vegetables.

*T takes away one of the food flashcards on the blackboard and hide it
behind your back
*Ss must open their eyes and shout out the missing food.

PROCEDURE *T plays “I like food song” and encourages the Ss to clap along to the
rhythm of the song;
*After listening, Ss are asked to put their hands up if they like the food in
the song, in order to introduce the question form “Do you like?”
*Ss divide the food according to their colour;

* Encourage Ss to ask the same question;

PROCEDURE *T gives Ss a basket craft and small food drawings (appendix 4, appendix
5);
*T asks Ss to put into the basket 3 pieces of food they like;
*Ss glue the paper into the basket;
*T brings a large paper basket and at the end Ss will put their small baskets
into the large one;
*Ss also use the structure “I like…” when sticking the small basket.
