Module: Water of Life

Speaker: Eric J. Pepin
(2003)

Track 1

Eric: I'd like to think of this technique that I'm going to give or this process as being more of a
ritual. And I would like to see it be used as a ritual format. This technique is specifically
designed to raise tonal, to raise energy, to raise consciousness, but the most important one being
tonal. Tonal is essentially the vibration of your soul, the vibration of your essence of being.
Tonal decides the level of energy you exist on. It decides the actions that Karma will take upon
you. It is the vibration that the forces of the Universe respond to, being that the lower the tonal,
the lower your energy, the higher the tonal the higher the energy, the higher being more spiritual,
more ethereal, and closer to a level of God consciousness per se, than to be extracted from that
consciousness. And being more earthed as I say, being Earthed, being extracted from any
spiritual concepts, the non-belief of life after death, the constriction or lack of understanding of
energy and spiritual essence.
So the higher you raise your tonal, the higher your consciousness becomes. The higher
and more spiritual and the more vibration you send forth, increasing your aura, increasing your
spirit; people will feel something from you of a much higher spiritual level and lean towards you
or being drawn towards you as all creatures and all of humanity of man are drawn on a psychic
level per se to a person with very high tonal, very high spirituality, very high vibration of quality.
And this tape that I'm working on that I'm designing is being put together to raise your tonal; to
raise your consciousness, to raise your self, your soul to a higher level. And if you follow these
techniques, you will achieve that. If you don't, well, then that's your prerogative. I believe in
karma; either you're ready for this kind of knowledge, or you're not.
So in either case, what I'm going to do now is to take you through the basic sequences of
what will follow on. So it's very important that you understand the process of what I'm speaking

of. It's very important of course that you listen to this side. The first thing that I would be
speaking upon is the mentioning of a glass of water. This glass of water should be perhaps about
4 to 6 ounces of water, pure water. You cannot use soda or juices or various forms of drinks.
Water is the only thing that's acceptable. This water should be room temperature, not too cold,
not hot. But basically perhaps as the coolness of the tap water that would come out of a sink.
What we're trying to keep in mind when we attain this glass of water is that the glass of water
should be energized. It should be thought of when the liquid is being poured into the glass that it
is Prana; Prana being energy all around us, kind of like Luke Skywalker's concept of the Force.
That Prana is being filled within this water that's entering this glass. So it is a spiritual concept of
a ritual that you are following. So you visualize Prana filling this glass of water.
The second thing is when you have this glass of water being poured, it's very important to
try to attain non-thought or not to think about anything in particular when you are doing this,
other than the fact that you are visualizing Prana or energy going into this glass of water because
again, you don't want to program an essence or an emotion within this liquid if you can help it.
And not that it's that easy to do, but it's something you want to keep in mind. These 4 to 6 ounces
of water will be placed down before you when you sit down in a half-lotus on the other side of
the tape of course when we go into that, and it should be in arm's reach. It's going to be one of
the first things that you are going to do is to pick up this glass of water. And you're going to hold
it above your head outstretched angular, kind of like at a 70-degree angle, or something to that
effect, perhaps about the angle to your forehead or something to that effect.
And essentially, what you want to do is to visualize Prana coming into this glass of water.
You want to visualize it drawing in Prana and illuminating, illuminating with Prana energy,
illuminating with life force. And what you're going to say then is, something to the effect of, “I
drink the Water of Life,” Meaning that this water will nourish your physical body but the essence
of the Prana that's in this water is going to fill your spiritual body, your spiritual soul. When you
then take the glass and draw it to be drunk, then what you are going to do is to visualize this
liquid going into your body. Almost like liquid silver or liquid white illumination and what you
want to do is focus on the fact that it's nourishing your body with Prana. It's nourishing your
body with water which is the vital essence of life for all of life on this planet essentially. That
you want to give yourself this water and nourish your body is what you're thinking about. That
this water is literally a purifier; it's a purifier because it’s water and it's pure, but it's also a

print, and distribute this document unless by explicit permission of Higher Balance Institute®.
3

purifier because it's Prana. It's pure Prana that you're taking into your body. And the more that
you think about Prana, the more that Prana has an effect on you. And that's what you want to do,
continuously be thinking about the effect of the Prana coming into your body.
Now, some people may want to take and use this exercise in an outdoor environment, so
you're more than welcome to use bottled water or whatever you like. Although I suggest that you
don't have a squeeze cap that you have to squeeze the water into your mouth because then it kind
of takes away from the fluidity of the liquid going into your mouth and then being swallowed.
One of the things you also want to keep in mind is that when you drink this water, you want to
focus on the fact of the thickness of the fluidity coming into you. And you want to almost roll
your tongue up so that the water goes underneath your tongue and think about absorbing Prana
underneath your tongue. There are a lot of ancient teachings that suggest that the main glands or
the area of the body that absorbs the majority of Prana is actually located underneath your
tongue. So that's something you might want to keep in mind. Then, ritually thinking about this
water, just experiencing this Prana, this water and then swallow it. Almost ritualistically
experiencing it as it's flowing down through your body into your stomach. And then of course
visualizing it nurturing and filling every single nerve, your bones, your muscles; the more
complex you get the better right down to your cells. You would just want to experience a very
blissful, beautiful harmony within yourself that you've just raised your first level of tonal because
you're thinking of Prana. So again, it's very good to have consciousness on Prana.
The second thing that you’re going to do is to also keep in mind that you want to do some
stretching exercises before you actually sit down and begin with this water. One of the first
things you want to do is to not only find a location (which we will go into) but you want to have
stretching exercises. You also may want to stretch out and reach for the ceiling, or to extend and
elongate the majority of your muscles in your body and in your back. And of course focus on just
stretching in any direction. Perhaps you also want to bend down several times to touch your toes.
It's used to attain a physicalness of preparation. The next thing that you're going to want to keep
in mind also is that you want to choose a spot. And when I say that you choose a spot, I mean if
you have an indoor situation where you're going to be meditating indoors. Then it's good to use
the same spot consistently. The reason for this is that we know through various classes I have
taught, that energy saturates particular spots. It saturates the area that you sit in consistently, kind
of like a sponge with water. So keeping this in mind, when we meditate we are reaching the

4

higher levels of consciousness, producing an excellent form of energy. So we're saturating the
environment that we are in or the spot that we are sitting in and whatever's close to us with this
energy. So if we sit there again in the future, it's going to have a much better effect on our
meditations and such, which is exactly what we want to have done.
The second thing of course is being outdoors. One of the things that you want to do is
when you go outdoors to meditate, is that you want to spend time searching for the right place.
You want to listen to your inner emotions. You want to listen to your inner feelings. You want to
clear your mind and to kind of let your hands fall loose on your sides and kind of have your
palms open to feel the air, to feel the temperature and to feel the wind movements more or less
and to use your mind to kind of feel and look around with your eyes as to what is calling out to
you. What area is saying, "Meditate with me," or, "Meditate under me; I'm a tree; just choose this
spot," or next to this body of water or this spring, or this running fall of water making a nice
soothing relaxing sound. You should try to focus on the fact that not every spot is an excellent
spot. That some spots are better than others and some less, that you just can't walk some place
and just plop down and say, "Okay, this is going to be a great spot." You have to feel for it. It's
kind of like looking for diamonds or for gold. You're looking for an energy spot that's attracting
you for your frequency because in your mind you know what you want. You know what you are
seeking! So, it's going to look for that place if you keep your mind clear and without heavy
thoughts. So, having a spot to meditate in is a process of choice, a process of searching.
Now, the half-lotus position (for those of you who do not know what a half-lotus position
is) is to sit down on the floor. You need to have your back straight, the straighter your back the
better. Energy tends to flow up and down the spine. Although you do not have to have a perfectly
straight back, you don't want to exhaust the muscles in your back; you just kind of want to have a
straight posture. It's very important that you have your head straight for the spine going from
your skull down. That if you have your head or your chin drooping downward, the energy
process is not quite as good as having your head kind of facing straight up, and having your body
firmly straight up in a sitting position. Now, a half-lotus is kind of like in yoga where they have
perhaps maybe a full lotus where both legs are kind of layered on top of each other, where if
you're sitting in Indian leg style, both legs are kind of like underneath folding each other.
A half-lotus is when one is underneath and the other one is lifted up and placed upon the
first. Now, some people have problems with this for one knee perhaps goes up and the other one

print, and distribute this document unless by explicit permission of Higher Balance Institute®.
5

goes down or vice versa; that's really not much of a problem. You're just going to have to work
with what you have. If you have to sit Indian leg style, then you have to. But I prefer that you sit
in a half-lotus if you can do that. Also, it does take certain amount of time, but you can allow
your legs to rest, and as they are resting, and you practice this half lotus, you will find that your
muscles in your legs kind of get used to stretching which is very good. And you'll find that you'll
be able to do a half-lotus after perhaps several weeks of practicing. Another thing is for those of
you who have bad backs or have a problem sitting, you may use a chair. I suggest that you do not
cross your legs when you sit in a chair. And that you have a chair that has a straight back on it so
that you do not begin to slouch or anything like that.
Hand position: When you go into a meditative state, for the time being will be hand in
hand. In other words just rest one palm so that your palm of your hand is facing up in your lap.
And place the other hand in it so that palm is facing up. It tends to circulate the energy much
better and it makes for a better circulation of energy.
Now, one of the other things we're going to do is, one of the main techniques of
meditating is to attempt to achieve non-thought. That is to shut off what we call the babbler. The
babbler is a process in your head that goes, "Gee, you know, how long is this going to go for?"
Or, "Boy, I have to go do laundry tonight," and, "Oh, wait a minute, shut up, I'm trying to
meditate." What you're trying to do is have absolutely non-thought. We consider the brain to be
the machinery of the body, the computer of the body, the programmable part that's done by
society. We kind of like to look at the mind as being the soul, the soul of the body, the actual
spirit that runs the body and the brain or whatever. And what's happened is over time the mind
has become submissive to the brain. This makes the mind very weak over time. So what we're
trying to do in meditation is to raise the power of the mind versus the brain. So, we want to
silence the babbler in this way that we can achieve a higher state of consciousness.
So, during the tape you will hear me refer to, “We're going to go to a state of a 1-minute
non-thought.” I will be timing exactly one minute, so try not to think about how long you've
achieved this or how long you haven't had non-thought. Just trust the tape; trust that I'm going to
make it a perfect minute and not more than that. And just try to focus on having non-thought.
You can do this one of two ways; you can find a spot and stare at the spot, okay, while you have
non-thought with your eyes open, or you can close your eyes and try to have non-thought with
your eyes closed. I will leave it at your discretion. I would probably suggest though just staring

print, and distribute this document unless by explicit permission of Higher Balance Institute®.
6

at a spot with non-thought. I find it a little bit more difficult for students when they close their
eyes; it's a bit more difficult to have non-thought.
Now, one of the next things we're going to talk about is breath. And breath is very
important. What we're going to do is you want to set your breathing to a pulse beat of your heart,
so you may want to get your pulse from your arm. If you don't know how to get it from your
arm, then you may want to put your finger on your neck area and find your pulse. It's something
you may want to practice on now before we actually start the technique. In either case what you
want to have is a pulse of "1-2-3-4-5-6" and then, "1-2-3". What you want to do is, "1-2-3-4-5-6"
is breathing in, so we would go, "One...two...three...four...five...six.” And then you want to
exhale within three, so you want to go --/blows out/ which is: "One...two...three". Then
immediately go back to "1-2-3-4-5-6" breathing in. But you want to correspond it to the rhythms
of your heart as to how many beats you have for it, so you could set a sequence. And you want to
stay in rhythm.
Do not let yourself get caught up in listening to your heartbeat. Now, you can put your
hand on your pulse for the first few times you do this tape or whatever, if you feel better keeping
that. But you're going to find that you're keeping track with saying numbers in your head instead.
So you just kind of want to set the rhythm. The rhythm doesn't have to be perfect; don't get over-
fixated with the concept of following that rhythm. Just kind of let yourself flow and just kind of
go with the practical rhythm that you have figured out for yourself.
We will do a set of ten of those and of course I will go through those in a series of
counting and I will probably just stop you off wherever you are. If I do, just kind of just accept it
and just go back to your normal breathing pattern of just being relaxed and breathing. Okay?
Again, always remember sitting firmly, straight, and keeping your mind as clear as you can.
The next thing that we're going to do is to have a session of Aums and I will probably go
through those Aums with you. What you want to do is to remember that an Aum is exactly that:
"Aaaaaaaaauuuuummmm." What you want to do is again focus on that sound, clear your mind.
Keep it as clear as you can and feel the relaxation and the power that comes from that state of
mind, that state of thought, that vibration because it's really not a thought. And we'll probably do
a series of about seven of those. So just do them with me.
One of the things is if you're out in public or if you're in your room and stuff and you
have to keep in mind that some people may be watching you. I would suggest to you that you

print, and distribute this document unless by explicit permission of Higher Balance Institute®.
7

take pride in what you do because people are curious. If you were walking out in the park and
you heard somebody doing some Aums, I think that you would find that you'd probably be
intrigued, that you'd want to talk to that person and ask them what were they doing or what were
they trying to achieve. When somebody is in a state of mind like this, your consciousness has
been raised so they're going to pick up on your vibration. And I think one of the only reasons
why they wouldn't approach you is really a lack of knowledge or perhaps that they have a strong
ritual religious belief system and that may keep them away. But you may find that you will come
across people who are intrigued; who are searching and you may be able to give them some
guidance, especially that you're in a higher state of consciousness and very peaceful in your
mind; you may find it very rewarding. So, take pride in those Aums. Let everybody hear those
Aums. If other people are willing to play their religious music or to sing in church as loud as they
can so they can be heard down the street, you too should take pride in what you're doing because
in our point of view, we are reaching a much higher state of consciousness than the majority of
people.
So, Aums, you kind of just want to be focusing on the Aum and the vibration that it
brings you to and keeping that in mind. The next thing that I'm going to be referring to is hand
postures. When I would refer to the essence of moving to a fine tone of consciousness, use your
hands to signify a state of consciousness. Hands are a direct root to your mind. What we are
actually doing is using a reversal process of thinking. The reversal process of thinking is like the
insinuation that Italians make their hands move around a lot in the air as they're talking or using
it to express. The Universal symbol to stop, by placing your hand firmly out with the palm up
and fingers out pointing upward has an effect on people's minds and it has an effect on our own;
it's a way of expressing ourselves subliminally without realizing it. So what we do is we use
hand gestures on our consciousness.
One particular hand gesture that you may use is considered universal for the state of
mind, a fine high sense of state of mind, and that is taking your fingers and what you want to do
for the very highest state of consciousness is take your middle finger. You want to place that
middle finger onto your thumb and kind of place it about heart level, about the level of where
your heart is, kind of outstretched about from your elbow outward, kind of centered stage, kind
of in the middle of where your chest would be outstretched from your heart. And you want to
signify some pride in that; when you put those two fingers together that that is your essence of
All rights reserved. This document is owned by Higher Balance Institute®. Any person is hereby not authorized to view, copy,
print, and distribute this document unless by explicit permission of Higher Balance Institute®.
8

telling your consciousness, "Perfection, perfection, absolute perfection." And if you just want to
think about this, if you very carefully listen to your consciousness right now and you clear your
mind, you can place your thumb on your pinkie and think about how it makes you feel and it has
a certain vibration. It's kind of like playing a piano. If you bring it to the finger next to your
pinkie and you place your thumb on that one, you’ll find it has a different kind of an effect. And
again, skipping your middle finger, go to your index finger and if you place your index finger on
there, you will find that on your thumb pressing, that it's kind of an energy feeling; it helps to
control your energy. But the middle finger almost makes you feel very prideful, very superior,
very perfect or well-tuned superior energy. And what it does is it helps to redefine and redirect
that energy.
So again when I'm saying to place your finger on the middle finger, that's what I'm
saying; only use one hand; allow the other hand to rest down. And of course you might want to
have your eyes open or closed. Probably the majority is closed except for when you start doing
the 1-minute things in the beginning. Again, have a sense of pride, a sense of power when you do
that.
The next thing that you should keep in mind is just focusing on your tonal, wanting to
raise your Prana, wanting to raise your energy, wanting to get closer to God. We will probably
do several breathing techniques; we are probably going to do several different formats of stages
of consciousness, several breathing series, but all on the effect of what I've just gone over with
you. You want to have those 1-minute sessions of non-thought; again, try to achieve that in one
minute that non-thought; it's probably one of the key ingredients that I can mention to you.
Another process that we will be doing is the outstretching of your arms. If you feel the
need or the desire that you attain a level of feeling very vibrant, very spiritual, very achieved in
pursuing this stage of consciousness, one of the things that you are going to do (that I would
suggest) or you can just bypass it if you're in a public area, is to outstretch both your arms,
almost like people would do to say hallelujah or whatever, outstretching both your arms like the
letter T with your elbows kind of outstretched and your hand diagonally up with palms out, head
facing the ceiling or the sky, wherever you may be. You may verbally say out loud, which is
more respectful than mentally saying it because you're conquering your fears of course, is to say,
"I accept the power of the Force within me," or, "I accept the Force within me," or, "I accept the
Universal Force within me," whatever you choose.

9

I may make a suggestion but maybe someday when you're not using the tape you might
want to use a few of your own. But it's kind of a way of signifying that you are accepting this
tonal of energy that you've raised yourself to, which is a very spiritual, very beautiful, very kind
vibration. And then you will bring your arms down and then what you want to do is at the ending
of the session is to literally just bow. You might want to outstretch your arms out, but kind of
bow to the ground or whatever in saying, "Thank you; I'm minuscule to the Universe; I'm
nothing compared to the Universe, but as long as the Force resides within me, I am completely
one with the Universe and that's all-powerful." So keep that in mind.
So again, touching base with everything that I've said, one of the things you want to keep
in mind is that the purpose of this again is to raise your consciousness, to primarily raise your
tonal. Your tonal is the essence that you vibrate on. It is the essence that the world perceives you
on. That the higher your tonal is, the more powerful, the more spiritual, the more ethereal your
essence of being is. Your tonal will enable you to heal the sick. Your tonal will enable you to do
miracles. It will enable you to become a spiritual being on this Earth. It will help you to awaken
your deeper subconscious levels. It will help you to become one with who and what you may be,
which is beyond what you realize that you are. And in this process a lot of things may happen.
When your tonal is very high, you will become aware as you're walking of things that you may
have never been aware of, or sounds or sights may become more intensive or colors become
more brilliant or the world takes on a different kind of level of experience. And you will find that
plants and trees having no negative vibration whatsoever, okay, may become more receptive or
you may become entranced with them.
So these things are things you want to enjoy, you want to bring outside of you. You want
to allow these things to flow but always keeping in mind the love, the great magnitude, the
endless depths of love of vibration that you feel that nothing can touch you when you're in this
state of tonal; nothing's going to affect you in this state of tonal. And watch the quality of life;
watch how life becomes richer and more fulfilled and more rewarding to you and you just feel
wonderful. And everything around you becomes wonderful. And that's about walking and living
in a higher level of tonal.
So we want to keep that in mind, that these are the things that we are trying to achieve.
These are the goals that we are trying to achieve. So, on that note I would just like to wish you a
lot of luck and to best wishes on your meditations. I suggest that you do this process at least two

10

times a day if you could. The tape will last approximately thirty minutes in its totality. You may
want to practice this technique at different times, at different locations, you may want to shorten
them or lengthen them, and whatever is good for you. But doing a full thirty minute tape is
probably the best if you can consecutively do it. And it is what I do recommend to you and
again, I wish you a lot of luck. Thank you.

Track 2

Eric: Clearing your mind, take a nice deep long breath in through your nose visualizing the Prana
going in (breath in) and exhaling through your mouth all negative energy, all the problems of the
day, just everything (breath out). In through your nose (breath in and out), visualizing Prana. In
through your nose (breath in and out).

Now, I’m going to begin a one minute non-thought session starting now.

Breathe again slowly in through your nose (breath in) taking in the Prana and exhaling (breath
out).

Now were going to center our concentration upon the glass of water in front of us. Reach out
with both hands and we’re going to raise it in the air. Visualize now the energy from our body
going into this glass of water.

We’re going to energize it with the Prana from the room around us, and we’re going to say, “I
take the water of life within.” Bring it to your lips. Drink. Feel the water underneath your tongue
absorbing the Prana, seeing the Prana going in through your throat, into your stomach, nurturing
and feeding your body with the water of life and also feeding you with Prana. Visualize the
Prana going throughout your body as you drink this water of life.

Place the glass now down before you and again I’d like you just to keep your mind clear and
focus on the energy of the Prana coming into your body for another minute starting now.

Feeling relaxed. Feeling the spirit of your soul, your tonal increasing to a much higher vibration.
I’d like for you now to concentrate on a rhythm of six and an out breath of three.

Relaxing yourself and returning to normal breathing. I’d like you to focus on having again one
minute of non-thought starting now.

Take a nice long deep breath in through your nose absorbing Prana, absorbing the energy in the
room. Visualizing in and exhaling.

Now I would like to do several aums with you if you would do these with me.

Clear your mind for one minute.

Breathe again slowly in through your nose feeling the Prana coming in, and exhaling.

Sitting straight, of course, mind clear, feeling very tonal, very high in your energy, very much
like the mystic master that you are evolving to. You will now take your right hand placing your
middle finger to your thumb. You will vibrate in the thought of absolute perfection, absolute
tonal, absolute mastery, absolute.

Breathe in through your nose perfect tonal, perfect Prana. In through your nose, and exhale as a
Master.

We’re going to go into a rhythm of six and out by three. In...

Clearing your mind for a few moments. Letting your energy tonalize, raising it to the love of
God, love of spirit, love of soul in Universe.

Radiating, feeling your energy vibrating from outside of yourself. Absolute perfection, absolute
love, absolute blissfulness. Blissfulness for the tonal that you vibrate is higher. It is of the God
essence. And if the God essence is within you, then you are becoming a master.

Take both arms, raise them outward like the letter T, palms up. Raise your head as if you were
looking up towards the ceiling or the sky. And say, “I am willing to receive you. I am willing to
become one with you. One with you. Take me within. Become one with me.”

Allow the Prana, allow the Force to come within you. And inhale. And exhale.

Bringing your hands back down to your lap and your head to a normal posture. One moment of
silence.

Allowing the Force to radiate within you, keeping your mind clear; a spiritual level of perfection;
a spiritual level of heightened awareness; a level of receiving a spirit of God, of the Force of the
Universe; when you are finished you shall bow down in acceptance of the Force within you,
showing your obedience to the Force, your love for the Force.
Breathing in and then bowing. Bowing and exhaling out like an ocean tide.

And I will leave you here to let your mind relax and wander, to feel renewed, to feel energized
and to feel the spirit within you. Peace and harmony within your tonal.
