SPECIFIC LEARNING OUTCOMES At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:
1. Define academic writing and distinguish it from other kinds of writing
2. Identify the purpose, audience, language, style of academic writing
3. Analyse sample texts using the standards of academic writing
