Semi-detailed Lesson Plan

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson 100% of the students shall be able to attain at least 80% level of proficiency to:

1. Explain Ohm's Law

2. Use Ohm's Law to determine voltage, current or resistance.

3. Determine the relationship between voltage, current and resistance.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Ohm's Law

III. Learning Task

Routine: Prayer

Checking the attendance

Passing the assignment

IV. Learning Activity

A. Review/Motivation

The students will have an activity called “Drop that Box"

B.Lesson Proper

1. Who discovered Ohm's Law?

2. What is Ohm's Law?

3. What is the formula to get voltage, current, or resistance?

C. Generalization

Solve for current:

A typical value of the resistance a from hand to hand through the body is 200 ohms. If a person with this
resistance accidentally touched a 220 V live wire. What current passes through the person?

D. Application

Find the current I through a resistor of resistance R = 2 Ω if the voltage across the resistor is 6 V.

V. Evaluation

Solving:

1. A small light bulb is connected to a 6 V battery and draws 2 A of current. What is the net resistance of
the bulb?

2. A motor with an operating resistance of 32 ¾ is connected to a voltage source. The current in the
circuit is 1.5 A. What is the voltage of the source?

3. Determine the amount of current going through a 50 Ω; resistor with a voltage of 120 V.
