 Explanation for selected 5 points:

Improve constantly and forever every process for planning, production, and
service.
 Improve constantly and forever. Continuous process improvement of production
and service results in improved quality and productivity, which in turn leads to
cost reduction. This part also relates to the first and third points. Improved quality
leads to less waste of other raw materials, which subsequently has a cost-
effective effect.
 For example, when you convert a batch production line to a one-piece-flow cell,
the immediate effect is that you may see is that double productivity while
reducing cycle time and WIP by 90%. Then, as you start operating the cell, you
notice that it produces three times fewer defectives per shift than the old line did,
essentially because, instead of burying defects in WIP, you detect them
immediately. A part coming out of an operation is immediately loaded into the
next one, which brings to light any defect it may have.
Institute training on the job.
 Training and development of employees is necessary for the survival of an
organization. By integrating it into the organization, it will be considered as
normal for the employees, as part of their Personal Development Plan.
 A trained worker has more productivity and quality than an untrained one, so
giving training sessions will drastically improve the quality of the person and
directly it helps in better product quality performance.
 For example, the Japanese plant manager faces much the same pressures to
reduce costs that his American counterpart does. He has flexibility to cut costs in
many areas, but one area he cannot reduce is his training budget, because
training and education are the cornerstones of greater consistency.
Break down barriers between staff areas.
 Company must improve the relationships between the workers and try to solve
their personal problems and make them feel that they are one family by fun days,
trips, and vacations and we must also make them feel that they are working to
achieve one goal which is quality not competing between with other workers
 By eliminating the boundaries between departments, cooperation can be better
and different expert teams will understand each other better. This can be done
by, for example, the creation of multifunctional teams, each with an equal share
and open to each other’s ideas.
