INTERORIENT 25 January 2013 Ref: Innospec fuel additive Octamar BT25 We can confirm we have used Octamar BT2S that is a heavy fuel dispersant stabiliser and combustion improver continuously on several vessels in our fleet for the past 4 years. The reasons for using this type of additive were to help improve operating conditions, fuel economy, and high sludge generation, maintain engine reliability and improve the condition of our turbo chargers and economisers which all lead to reduced costs. ‘Our experience using the additive has been quite positive with noticeable improvements in the fuel stability. ‘We have recorded no detrimental effects, application or handling issues using the additive.
