Greetings,

We are aspiring to be collaborators of your learning institution’s

extracurricular activities as extension of an outside program of the school. We are
trained musicians specializing in choral singing. As part of keeping the learners
engaged in the community, we too share the same goal in the service of our Lord
Jesus Christ. Our organization is dedicated in singing in the Eucharistic
Celebration in the Holy Mass as choir singers. May this endorsement help you
decide in taking us as partners in nurturing your learner’s in terms of talent and
spirituality.

We would like to come in terms with your good office regarding the
schedule of practices and attendance without sacrificing the learner’s academic
performance. Also the liability that is entrusted to us when it comes to the security

History

The Queen of Peace Children and Youth Choir is a choral group founded in 1973
serving Our Lady Queen of Peace and Good Voyage Parish in the City of Bacoor

The Our Lady Queen of Peace Children and Youth Choir is a choral group
composed of parishioners from Our Lady Queen of Peace and Good Voyage Parish
Church in Queen's Row Subdivision, Bacoor, Cavite. The choir was formed in
May of 1973 by the people who literally built this community. Since then, it has
been faithfully serving the parish by sharing their God-given gifts and talents by its
active participation in various parish and diocesan activities, by taking part in
several choral competitions and most especially by offering and sharing in the
Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

CYC THROUGH THE YEARS:

April 1973 A choir composed of construction workers, security guards,

youths and a young boy was organized. (Street masses held
every 1st Saturday evening.

April 1974 Children's choir formed.

March 1975 Children's Choir was named Our Lady, Queen of Peace
Children's Choir (QPCC)

June 1977 QPCC joins 1st PETA Drama Workshop October 1979 - A
separate group of youth choir arises.

March 1980 Children's Choir and the newly formed Youth Choir merged.
Choir was re-named Our Lady Queen of Peace Children and
Youth Choir.

March 1982 Launched first outreach program. Taught Liturgical songs to

neighbouring parishes.

May 1982 QPCYC invaded the Parish Publication, "Tambuli"

December 1982 QPCYC sponsored the first "Panunuluyan"

November 1983 QPCYC joined national awareness program.

June 1984 QPCYC started the "Parish to Parish" fund raising program.

November 1984 QPCYC attended a journalism seminar.

December 1984 started "Operation Linis"

October 1985 QPCYC won 3rd place at Ginintuang Himig Choral

Competition.

May 1986 Started "Souvenir for a Cause" fund drive.

January 1987 Won 1st Place at the Battle of The Choirs

April 1988 - 1990 sponsored Musical Extravaganza

December 1989 Won 2nd place Barangay Bacoor Choral Competition.

October 1991 some members joined a Marian Concert.

December Spearheaded Panunuluyan.

1991 - 1992

December 1992 Some members joined the 1st Cavite Parish Choral Competition
and won 2nd place.

April 1993 Opened their 20th Anniversary by launching various projects.

One of these is the "Choir Forum in Concert."

May 1993 Joined the Karakol

December 2008 Celebrated 35th Anniversary by launching its very own

May 3 Sunday Foundation Celebration
It is the exact day where our organization celebrating its founding day
on the 3rd Sunday of May 1972 where the very first Holy Mass was
held in Queens Row Area “S” Budega Church. It is celebrated by all
present and former members of the choir where we all attend the Holy
Mass as one big family.
May any date possible Annual Team Building/ Seminar/ Recreational Trip
Members engage to several enrichment program where they can build
more friendship, learn from credible sources, and have fun. The team
building and the recreational trip is often posted together of 2 days of
fun learning activities.
October 30 Marian Cantata Concert
Every year the Choir Forum of Our Lady Queen of Peace where every
church choir organization is under, conducts an annual concert in love
and in tribute to our mother Mary. Every member is expected to
practice and participate in the concert.
October 4th week Halloween Party or Mid-year Party
This serves as a healthy acquaintance party for our old and new
members where every generation of meets and showcase talents.
December any date Christmas Party and Awards Night
possible In line with the yuletide season our organization conducts a Christmas

party where all current and old members may attend. We also award
the highest performing and the most improved members with in the
year.
January every other Election and Induction of New Officers
year Every other year our organization conducts its annual election of
officers to further expose our members to the community and develop
sense of responsibility at a very young age guided by appointed elders
and advisers.
March to May Guitar, Piano and Music Theory Lessons
As part of the continuous growth of our young members, our
organization conducts a free guitar, piano, and music theory lessons.
This serves as preparation for our young members to be the next
leaders and directors. It also serves a promotional activity of the group
for everyone is invited to join members or non-members.
April any date possible Visita Iglesia
During the span of the Holy Week our Organization conducts an
annual spiritual pilgrim visiting and praying within or other
neighbouring provinces. Instilling the importance of a live of prayer.

These are only a hand full of activities our Choir is engaged to. These
activities are all to develop the wellbeing of our members spiritually, morally,
socially and intellectually. We also follow the Liturgical Calendar and activities set
by our Parish – Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish as significant.

In case there are any changes in the schedule or important announcements,

we regularly send our members letter and bulletins to inform their guardians and
parents about the choir’s activities.
