WEAPONS INFORMATION
Trenches Canals dug into the ground.
Life was miserable.
Rainstorms produced deep puddles
and thick mud.
Sometimes removing dead bodies
from trenches was impossible.
Lice and rats were common in
trenches.
New Weapons: Poison Gas Burns, choke or burn the victims.
A change in the direction of the wind
direction could blow the gas back
toward the troops who had launched
it.
Tanks First used in the WW1
They were introduced by the British.
The problem was that they were too
slow.
Aircraft Very useful during warfare
Mechanics attached machine guns to
the airplanes.
Other weapons: Rapid-fire machine guns, high explosive shells (that had enormous destructive
power) grenades, trench clubs.
