Level Descriptions
Set 1: Books 1-6 • The alphabet, letter sounds, and beginning sight
8 pages per book sounds, and additional sight words are featured.
Sets 5& 6: Books 25-36 • The blending of consonant and vowel sounds is
Sets 7-12: Books 37-72 • Children practice with long and short vowel sounds,
16 pages per book vowel combinations, and consonant blends.
Vocabulary is expanded.

Ideas for using Scholastic Phonics Readers:
• Ask your child to look for certain letters and for the "My Words"
in the book.
• Have your child read the sentences that have "My Words" in them.
