Preparation before Installation

Basic Requirement on Installation Site

Precautions If the air conditioner is installed in the following places, it may cause
malfunction. If it is unavoidable, please contact the local service center.

Place with strong heat source, vapor,

flammable and explosive gas or volatile gas

Place with high frequency device

Coastal places

Place with machine oil in the air

Place with vulcanizing gas

Preparation before Installation

Electrical Safety Requirements

Precautions 1. The power supply shall conform to the value on the nameplate.
2.The unit can operate normally within the range of 90%~110% of rated
voltage.
3. Do not pull the power supply with excessive force.
4.The ground wire shall be connected reliably.
5. The air conditioner should be at least 1.5m away from the flammable
material.
6. For the air conditioner with a plug, the plug shall be within reach. For
the air conditioner without plug, there should be a breaker( normally, it is 2
times of the nominal current) in the circuit. The breaker shall be all open
type with a minimum contact distance of 3mm in all poles.

Align nozzle to pyramidal face of valve connector.

Tighten the nut of the connecting pipe

Attention :
1.Connect the tube to indoor unit first and then outdoor unit.
2.The nut of the connector should not be too tight, or it may lead to
leakage.
Installation of the Air Conditioner

2.6 Connect tube of indoor unit Adding Refrigerant

If long connecting pipe is applied, it is necessary to add refrigerant according to the
following requirements.

The standard pipe is 5 meters.

Every increase of 1 meter should add corresponding refrigerant per below
chart
Whenever the pipe is over 15meters, every increase of 5meters should add
5ml corresponding refrigerant oil

Installation of the Air Conditioner
Connecting pipe, discharge pipe, wrapping wires

 Direction & tightness of wrapping

 Do not bend the drain hose to much;
 Drain hose should be under the gas pipe and liquid pipe.
 Insulate the indoor section of the drain hose.
 Water outlet of the drain hose should be vertical and suspending; do
not put it into water.
Installation of the Air Conditioner
2.7 Install indoor unit and outdoor unit
 Fix the indoor unit and route the pipe through the wall

 The bottom case of the indoor unit should cling to the wall.
The block of the connecting pipe should be tight to prevent dust.
Seal the hole with plaster.
Installation of the Air Conditioner

 Fix the outdoor unit

 Safety——drop prevention, vibration prevention

 Performance——avoid obstructions, noise prevention
Installation of the Air Conditioner
2.8 Connect wire of outdoor unit

Open electric box cover 2. Connect power connecting wire and signal cable according
to wiring board.

 Fix the wire with wire clamp.

 Install cushion rubber in the wire hole wiring

Installation of the Air Conditioner
2.10 Install water choke (heat pump unit)

 Condensate can be discharged through discharge pipe.

Install the connector of discharge pipe in Φ25 hole of the chassis. Put the water outlet of
the discharge pipe in a place easy for drainage.

Plug the other 3 drain holes.

Installation of the Air Conditioner

2.11 Vacuum & Leak Test

Vacuum Open the valve

1. Vacuum pump(R410A)
2. Connect the charge hose from manifold valve to the
service port of the gas valve and connect the
charge hose to the port of the vacuum pump.
3. Open the low pressure gauge and operate the
vacuum pump till the pressure is ≤-0.1MPa.
4. Close the pressure gauge first, then the vacuum
pump.
5. Observe the pressure gauge for 10-15mins, if it
returns to more than -0.08Mpa, there is leakage.
6. Check the possible leakage spots and repeat the
above.
7. When finish, Open the small valve a bit and close it
when the pressure reaches 0.05MPa, remove the
gauge quickly. (key process)
8. Completely open the small valve and then the big
valve, screw up the back cover screw nut of valve.
2.11 Vacuum & Leak Test
Installation of the Air Conditioner
Leak Test

 Soapy water: coat soapy water on the connector and the stop valve and keep for
3min. Bubbles indicate leak.
 In summer, test it when the unit is off. In winter, test it when the unit is heating.
 Electronic leak detector: test for 3s~5s
 Do not install the split air conditioner when it is rainy or snowy.

Test Run

1.Preparation
Make sure you do a proper installation according to previous process.

2. Method
Test Run

1. Drainpipe test
• Open the panel and fill the water into evaporator slowly.

Note: (1) Make sure all procedure have been finished and the drainpipe is well installed.
(2) Pay attention to the speed and airflow volume when filling water, to avoid getting
wet of the electric part.
Test Run

2. Specification record(at least 15mins after operation)

① Air in/outlet temperature test

• Distance: horizontally 10cm from the air outlet.
• Temp. difference:the air in/outlet temp. difference should be more than 8℃
under cooling and be more than 15℃ under heating.

② Electric leakage test

• Test with test pencil and make sure the unit is not with electric leakage.

③ Pressure observation
• The low operation pressure value under 30℃ ambient temperature is around
0.8~1MPa(On/off),0.72-0.88Mpa(inverter)
