Purposeful learning requires learning to read. Our natural capacity to understand

the things around us is already evident at the early stages of our lives. As grown-ups, we
extend our curiosity into an even more formal way of understanding things.

This module focuses on helping you become an analytical reader. After going
through this module you will hopefully be able to answer the question: What can I do to
become a contributing member of the society?

Objectives:
1. Discover through Philippine literature the need to work cooperatively and responsibly in
today’s global village.
2. Organize information about a chosen subject using a graphic organizer

A. Does bullying only involve attacking or harming

someone physically?
B. Why would a person lacking self-confidence be the
easy target of bullies?
C. What characteristics would make a person prone to
being bullied?
D. What can a person do to fight against bullying?
