Blessed Trip

Traveling is one way of unwinding, which helps us to relax to get away from the
stress. I've been traveling a lot to get off from a stressful environment. I usually visit
beach, mountains and more. One place that makes me stress free and blessed was
going to Simala Shrine. This was one of my favorite trip because we are all bond
together.

I can still remember vividly on May 2018, we went to Simala Shrine. It wasn't my
first time at all, and I've lost counts how many times I've been there. More importantly
this trip is different from those times I visited to Simala. I’m with my mother together with
some of the employees in Talamban Leisure Center and my lover, who spent the night
in our place just to join our trip. First thing in the morning we prepared all the foods that
we will take on the trip. Of course, we didn't forget to take our breakfast, as what they
said breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and not just that but also, it'll be a
long trip to get to Simala.

After the preparation we all went inside the car and we hit the road. It took us
hours to get to Carcar due to the terrible traffic. We visit Carcar first to buy lechon and
other delicacies. We wouldn't missed buying lechon because in Carcar, their lechon is
amazing. While some went to buy stuff, others went to the rest room, because it'll take
some time for us to get there in Simala. All of us went back inside the car and hit the
road back again. We got there in Simala way too early around seven o’clock and the
line is already long. So, we all decided to have a little picnic right across the Simala and
we ate the lechon they brought. Everyone is enjoying and savoring the moments
together.
After we had a picnic, we wrap things up to go inside the Simala. We went in line
and the good thing is that its moving we haven’t stay long in our place. On the other
side, they’re constructing the part of it as well as the garden, they’re doing renovation. I
am amazed by the view and structure of the Simala. The church is so majestic and
wide, there's a paint on the ceiling of the saints. There's a small stall beside the church
where they sell replica of the saints, candles and so much more. We went inside the
Simala, we prayed for the blessings we received and thank Virgin Mary for everything.
Afterwards, we stroll around the Simala, it such a big place. Of course, we took bunch of
photos as a remembrance of everybody. As we went outside there’s a lot of stall there
where they sell souvenirs. Me and my lover went there to buy some too for ourselves
and to our friends.

I will not forget the experience and once the pandemic is over, I will surely be
back at Simala and thank Virgin Mary that everything is back to normal. The trip has
ended but the memories will last.
