The doll is crocheted in one piece from the top of the Head and down to the feet. Soles
of the feet are crocheted separately and sewn on. Arms are crocheted and sewn on.
Ears, eyebrows, eyelids, and nose are all crocheted separately and sewn on.
Unless otherwise noted, rounds are worked in unjoined spirals. Use a stitch marker if
necessary to mark the beginning of each round.
Note: If this is being made for a child, please use caution with the safety eyes and the
robe button. Due to the nature of the crocheted fabric, it is possible for the eyes to
come out through normal wear and tear through holes in the fabric. For guaranteed
safety, crochet or cut out black felt circles and sew into place instead of using plastic
eyes. Use velcro instead of a button.
Eyes
Before beginning the crocheting
of the Head, you will need to get
the Eyes ready. Cut two circles
from brown felt, approximately 1
5/8” across. Cut a slit in the
center and insert the post of the
30mm eye into the slit. Set Eyes
aside for now.

Stuff Legs firmly. Line up toes on Sole and Foot and sew each in place. Weave in ends.
To give him a little butt, thread a yarn needle with a strand of yarn A. Insert needle
between the legs, and pull up and out through the center of the back. Pull straight down
and back between the legs, cinching the back down and creating an indentation.
Repeat for more definition, then pull yarn tightly and knot to the surface of the doll, then
tuck the knot and the tail inside.

Fasten off and use yarn tail to sew tip of finger closed.
Eyes
You will crochet 2 eyebrows, 2 upper eyelids, and 2 lower eyelids.
Eyebrow (Make 2)
With yarn A and H hook, ch 12. Sl st in 2nd ch from
hook, sc in next 9 chs, sl st in last ch. Fasten off and
leave a long tail for sewing to face. Use a yarn needle
to sew each eyebrow into place above the eye as
shown, curving and turned outward for a wide-eyed
look. Refer to photos.
Nose
Rnd 1: With yarn A and H hook, make an adjustable
ring, ch 1, and sc 6 into ring. Pull tail to close ring (6
sts)
Rnd 2: Sc in each st around.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Pin Nose
into place between and slightly lower than the center of
the eyes, then use yarn needle and yarn tail to sew
Rnd 2 around and into place on the face. Weave in
ends.
Sculpting (optional)
Thread a yarn needle with a very long strand of yarn A. Come up at the back of the
neck and pull needle up through the corner of the eye, stitch back down into head and
across to inside corner of second eye, then stitch through back into the head and out
the back of the neck. Pull tightly to make eyes sink in slightly. Knot into place and
repeat the process for the outside corners of the eyes. Continue the sculpting by pulling
the needle up next to the nose, across the top of the nose, and back down, pulling and
knotting into place. Sculpt the forehead by coming up between the eyes, stitching
straight up across the center of the forehead, and back down, then stitch short
intersecting lines across the center line. Refer to photos.
Mouth
With yarn A and H hook, join yarn as shown and surface single crochet 4 sts slanted
upwards toward the nose, then slanting down 4 more surface single crochet sts. Fasten
off. Weave in beginning and ending yarn tails.
For lower lip, join yarn and surface single crochet 4 sts just under the top lip across.
Weave in ends. Refer to photo.

closed. (3 sts)

Rnd 4: *(2 Sc in next st, sc in next st), rep from * around (9 sts)
Rnd 5: Sc in each st (9 sts)
Rnd 6: *(2 Sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts), rep from * around (12 sts)
Rnd 7: Sc in each st (12 sts)
Rnd 8: *(2 Sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts), rep from * around (15 sts)
Rnd 9: Sc in each st (15 sts)
Rnd 10: *(2 Sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts), rep from * around (18 sts)
Fasten off and leave a long tail. Flatten each Ear. With a yarn needle and the tail of
yarn, stitch the flattened Rnd 26 into place at the side of the Head, curving the base
slightly as you sew into place. Weave in ends.
Robe
*If you are working with the fuzzy Pipsqueak yarn or a similar furry textured yarn, it is
important to keep your stitches relatively loose. You probably won’t be able to see the
stitches very well, so you should try working based on feel. To keep things lined up,
count each stitch as you go so you know you aren’t skipping stitches or stitching twice
into the same stitch.
Row 1: With larger J hook and brown yarn B, and starting at the bottom of the Robe, ch
50. Dc into 3rd ch from hook and next 47 chs (48 sts)
Rows 2-10: Ch 2, turn, dc into each st (48 sts)
Row 11: Ch 2, turn, *(dc into next 5 sts, dc2tog, dc in next 9 sts), rep from * across (45
sts)
Row 12: Ch 2, turn, dc in 11 sts, skip 5 sts, ch 10, dc in 13 sts, skip 5 sts, ch 10, dc in
next 11 sts (two armholes made) (45 sts, 20 ch sts)
Row 13: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 11, hdc in next 10 ch, hdc in 13 sts, hdc in next 10 sts,
hdc in last 11 sts (55 sts)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Collar
Row 1: Using a J hook, join yarn C with a dc at end of Row 13 from Robe. Dc across
(55 sts)
Rows 2-6: Ch 2, turn, dc into each st (55 sts)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Sleeves
Rnd 1: Join yarn B with a J hook at opening of Robe
at Rnd 12, sc evenly around 17 sts (17 sts)
Rnds 2-4: Hdc in each st around (17 sts)
Rnd 5: 2 Hdc in next st, hdc in each st (18 sts)
Rnd 6: *(2 Hdc in next st, hdc in next 8 sts), rep from
* around (20 sts)
Rnd 7: Change to yarn C at the end of Rnd 6. Hdc
into each st around.
Rnds 8-9: Hdc into each st.
Fasten off and weave in ends. Fold Rnds 7-9 back for cuffs.
Sew a button to the center front of the left side of the robe with brown thread. Weave in
ends. Robe will close by inserting the button in space between stitches. Refer to photo.
Finishing:
Using your finger tips or a cotton ball, rub pink blush all over
the inside of the ears as shown. Through time the blush may
fade. To prevent this you can lightly spray the blushed ears
with aerosol hairspray.
