For sections 2.1.2, 2.1.5, and 2.1.6 - all bonded and solid test specimen dimensions,
preparation, and testing procedure was performed in accordance with ASTM D905
“Standard Test Method for Strength Properties of Adhesive Bonds in Shear by
Compression Loading”.

Section 2.1.1 - Exterior Exposure

ASTM D2559 testing was previously performed and found to be in compliance with
requirements. See PFS Test Report # 12-093 dated September 13, 2013.

ANSI 405 TEST SPECIMENS Continued

Section 2.1.2 Accelerated Aging

Minimum assembly time was used for the test specimen preparation. The controls and bonded test specimens
were match set prepared from the same section of Douglas-fir lumber. Each set of test specimens consist of 10
shear blocks. One set of bonded and solid were tested after preconditioning. The other set were pre-test
conditioned in accordance with ASTM D1151 Test Exposure 3.

Section 2.1.3 - High Temperature

ASTM D7247 testing was previously performed and found to be in compliance with the test requirement. See
PFS Test Report # 12-093 dated September 13, 2013.

Section 2.1.4 - Creep Resistance

Minimum assembly time was used for the test specimen preparation. Testing was performed in accordance with
CSA 0112.9 – Section 4.10.1. Exposure B2 was performed in its entirety.

Section 2.1.5 - Accelerated Aging

Minimum assembly time was used for the test specimen preparation. The controls and bonded test specimens
were match set prepared from the same section of Douglas-fir lumber. One set of ten (10) bonded shear blocks
and its match set of ten (10) solid wood shear blocks were tested after conditioning in accordance with one
cycle of ASTM D1183 Designation “D”.

Section 2.1.6 - Durability

Minimum and Maximum assembly times were used for the test specimen preparation. The testing was
performed in accordance with CSA 0112.9 – Section 5.5 Block Shear Test and Percent Wood Failure
Assessment (Boil-Dry-Freeze Test).

TEST RESULTS

See Tables 1 and 2.
