Carrot is sixth most economically important vegetable crops in the world, in terms of both area

of production and market value . Global production of carrot is about 42. 7 million metric tons.
Pakistan is ranked 17th in carrot production with market share of 1.2% in world export of carrot..
Keeping in view above aspects, a study was conducted to increase the yield of carrot under stress
conditions using different biofertilizers . An experiments was executed in the field under RCBD
factorial arrangements. In the this experiment, effectiveness of different biofertilizers were
evaluated. This experiment was conducted in vegetative section of Horticulture Laboratory at
UAF Sub-campus Burewala-Vehari, Pakistan during the winter season 2019-2020. Nine
treatments vis 0.5g(1H) direct application of different biofertilizers and 1g(2H) direct application
of different biofertilizers . Different parameters like plant height, no of branches and speed of
growth were recorded using standard statistical procedures. Among the various bio fertilizers
Bacillus (1g)and Azospirillum (1g) showed better results. A comparative study was done among
most effective results of different experiments. Bacillus (1g), Azospirillum (1g) and
Azospirillum (6 percent) were most effective on carrot plant growth.
