Introduction to Le Meridien
The Le Méridien brand was established in 1972 by Air France "to provide on a home
away from home for its customers."
The first Le Méridien property was a 1,000-room hotel in Paris — Le Méridien Etoile.
Within two years of operation, the group had 10 hotels in Europe and Africa.
Within the first six years, the number of hotels had risen to 21 hotels in Europe, Africa,
the French West Indies, Canada, South America, the Middle East and Mauritius.
By 1991, the total number of Le Méridien properties had risen to 58.
In 2011, Le Méridien opened up its 100th hotel in Coimbatore, India.

• There are a total of 09 Banquet Halls. One hall can be split into Two in case of Guest Demands
or operational demands.
• The Banquet Halls are –
1. Sovereign – It can hold a capacity of up to 800 – 1000 guests. It can be Split into two
different halls offering a capacity of up to 350 - 400 Guests. The
separated halls are called Sovereign I & Sovereign II.
2. Desire – It can hold a capacity of up to 500 Guests. This hall is generally offered for
meetings or conferences, but other celebrations are also arranged in this hall.
3. Inspire - It can hold a capacity of up to 300 Guests. This hall is generally offered for
meetings or conferences, but other celebrations are also arranged in this hall.
4. Allure - It can hold a capacity of up to 200 Guests. This hall is generally offered for
meetings or conferences, but other celebrations are also arranged in this hall.
5. FF I – It can hold a capacity of up to 100 – 150 Guests.
6. FF II – It can hold a capacity of up to 10 – 25 Guests.
7. 2000, 2010 & 2020 – It can hold a capacity of up to 50 – 75 Guests. All three of these
hall can separated or connected as per guest needs.
