Procedure to follow for Maid when she comes to work in your home

Preparation at Society

1. Setup a wash basin or a hand sanitizer stand. Make sure soap or sanitizer is always available
2. Keep Thermal temperature gun at society gate. Typical temperature gun range is 4-6 inches
from human body. Taking temperature from 2 feet distance is practically useless. Read the
temperature gun manual and follow the temperature taking process as defined in manual.

Preparation at Your Home:

1. New Mask (exclusively use by your maid in your home). Preferably 2-3 masks exclusively for
use of maid.
2. Liquid hand wash (or soap)

Care to be taken when maid (or any visitor) enters the society premises

1. Make sure she/he washes /sanitizes her/his hand.

2. Make sure she/he is wearing a mask
3. Take the temperature and make sure it is normal
4. Avoid using lift (as much as possible). While using stairs, avoid touching the handrails.

Care to be taken during the time Maid is working at home

1. Everyone in home should wear mask during the time maid is working at home.
2. When Maid enters home (everyday)
a. Provide her a cloth bag to keep her belongings (keys, purse etc)
b. Ask her to wash her hands and face. And change the mask to new mask that you will
provide
3. Procedure that Maid has to follow for washing hands/face
a. Remove the mask that She is wearing while coming to work
b. Put the mask in a separate plastic pouch or bag. Do not leave it in open
c. Wash the hands and face
d. Put the new mask (provided by you i.e. home-owner). This mask need not be
disposable.
e. Provide liquid hand wash for washing hands/face. If liquid handwash is not available,
then provide her a soap bar.
4. Maid must wear the mask all the time while she is at home.
5. Instruct her If she goes to toilet, even then she should not remove the mask. (Obviously, this
is impossible to check, but instruct her)
6. Once the work is done, follow the same process of washing hands/face. Change the mask.
 7. Make sure the Mask that maid was wearing at home is put it warm soap water immediately
after she removes the mask.
8. Wash the mask maid was wearing in Soap and warm water and dry it in sun. Keep it ready
for the next day.
9. Wash the cloth bag used to keep maids belongings in Soap and warm water and dry it in sun.
Keep it ready for the next day
10. Preferably keep 2-3 masks exclusively for maid. Make sure that you wash them with Soap
after every use.

Why You and Maid has to wear Mask?
