sured over Garter st and
14 sts and 14 rows to 2” [5 cm]
measured over ribbing (without
stretching) both using suggested
needles or any size needles which will
give the correct gauges.

INSTRUCTIONS
Please Note: Due to the ribbing
along bottom of slipper, there is
plenty of stretch in length to fit
longer feet.
Starting at top of slipper, cast on 3(3,
5) sts.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: K1, yo, k to end.
Row 3: K1, yo, k to last 2 sts, k1 tbl, k1.
Repeat this last row until there are
33(37, 41) sts on the needle.
Next Row: [K1, kf&b] 7(8, 9) times,
[kf&b] 4 times, [k1, kf&b] 7(8, 9) times,
k1 - 51(57, 63) sts.
Now work in ribbing for bottom of
slipper as follows:
Row 1: (wrong side) P1, *k1, p1; rep
from * to end.
Row 2: K1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end.
Repeat these 2 rows until ribbing
measures 6” [15 cm] from inc row,
ending after a Row 1.
INTERMEDIATE
Next Row: [K1, k2tog] 7(8, 9) times,
[k2tog] 4 times, [k1, k2tog] 7(8, 9)
times, k1 - 33(37, 41) sts.
Now work in Garter st for other half of
slipper top.
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: K1, k2tog tbl, k to end.
Repeat this last row until 3(3, 5) sts
rem.
Next Row: Knit.
Cast off knitwise.
To Complete: Fold slipper in half and
sew end of ribbing tog to form back
seam. Do not cut yarn as yet.
At other end, sew ribbing and Garter st
closed to form toe and top of slipper.
Now try slipper on and if opening for
foot is too large, lengthen the back
seam into Garter st section as required.
Weave in all ends.
Repeat for other slipper.
