As you know, the entire world is being hit by this deadly virus called Coronavirus or COVID-19 and
lately this has started to distress the majority portion of the world population. Looking into the effect it had
on over 210 countries, developing and developed alike, with near 5.6million people affected and around
350,000 casualties till date and growing, we better get prepared for the probable disaster we might face in
the coming days.
As a part of that cautionary preparations, Armour Polymer Limited in association with Fakir Apparels
Limited has launched its Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) items line of product, Armour Health, for
the domestic users who might be in need of these items shortly. Armour Polymer Limited, a manufacturer
of raw materials that are being used in the making of fabrics that go into making PPE items like masks,
gowns etc. have collaborated with one of the leading textile and garments manufacturer and exporter of the
country, Fakir Apparels Limited, in order to make the best quality PPE items ensuring the required
standards and regulations issued by WHO, FDA and CDC. Our products are certified by the Ministry of
Health, Bangladesh and we are already extensively working with different government and private
organizations in supplying these PPE gears.

What we offer
We make high quality coveralls, surgical and non-surgical gowns, masks etc.
The certificates received for product quality and good manufacturing process, issued by several government
and private entities, are attached with the mail.

Technical Explanation
We want to briefly state here about the standards and guidelines that we are following in accordance with
the European and North American regulations. You will find some files attached with this mail related
to these regulations. Please have a look and let us know if you need any clarification.
First of all, the WHO has underlined certain guidelines for the different kinds of medical devices
including medical gowns to be used by healthcare professionals and general population. The link to that

According to these standards, manufacturer of medical gowns need to follow the Guidelines stated in
accordance with European regulation (EN 13795) or North American or FDA regulations
(ANSI/AAMI PB70). We at Armour Health are working on getting both certifications. These process
generally take 4-6months but considering current global situation, they are relaxing these timelines and we
are working on it.
In accordance with FDA regulation or ANSI/AAMI PB70
(https://my.aami.org/store/detail.aspx?id=PB70-PDF), there are 4 levels of medical gowns based on their
usage and the requirements for passing each level is as follows:

As our product lines Armour Health G15 and Armour Health L300 complies with Level 2 and
Level 3 respectively requirements and as testing purpose we associated with labs like Intertek,
SGS Bangladesh, globally accredited bodies in testing and certification, on testing our product to
check if it meets its criteria. The test result is attached with the mail.
We want to mention these labs were provided with 2 random samples from our production line and
they did the test on 5 specimens from different parts of the gowns. The test results are in mbar
water units and the conversion rate is 1mbar water= 1.03 cm water
In line with your requirement to certify our product as Level-03, we have completed a random
sampling test and the test results from distinctive tests like AATCC 127 have yielded an average
value of 164 cm water with certain tests passing over 168 cm water and the test AATCC 42 has
yielded a result less than 0.1g which is in compliance with the requirement for Level-3 medical
gown within the acceptance level of AQL 4%
From Armour Polymer Limited end, we are satisfied with the result provided by the labs and at
the same time, we promise you to work on the continuous development of the fabric and the finished
product so that we can serve the nation with the quality product. We want to also state that our
product lines which comply with Level 4 that will be used in critical medical emergency situations,
are in product development stage and will be in production very soon.
It is to mention that we are maintaining almost all the standards that Dupont follows. Dupont is a
globally renowned company for manufacturing PPE gears. One of the important items in PPE gear,
the medical surgical and isolation gowns go through the tests like tensile strength, tear strength, seam
strength, lint generation, water vapor transmission etc. to ensure proper quality of these terms.
