Carboline offers a wide range of products for bridge maintenance, overcoating, and refurbishment. Carbozinc
primers are regarded as the most user friendly primers in the industry, making Carboline the most trusted name
in bridge coatings. Our products are backed by a team of professionals that can solve any problem that may arise
during a project.

Carbozinc® 859 Carbomastic® 15 & 90

Carbozinc 859 is a low VOC, organic zinc-rich epoxy
that protects against undercutting corrosion. It can be
topcoated in as little as 30 minutes and cures down to
35°F (2°C) with minimal or no thinning. The product
meets Class B slip co-efficient and creep testing for use
on faying surfaces. It is a field proven primer that applies
well by spray methods and is excellent for touch-up by
brush or roller for small areas.
These Carbomastic products are aluminum-pigmented,
low stress, low VOC, high solids epoxy mastics that
provide excellent barrier protection and corrosion
resistance over most tightly adhered existing finishes,
rusted or SSPC-SP2 or SP3 cleaned steel. They are an
excellent choice for field touch-up of zinc-rich primers.
Carbomastic 15 may be applied down to 35°F (2°C) when
the FC part B is utilized.

Carboguard® 893 Carbothane® 133 Series

Carboguard 893 is a high solids, low VOC, corrosion
resistant epoxy coating suitable for use as a primer or
an intermediate over recommended primers. It provides
excellent corrosion protection, film build and edge
protection. It cures down to 40°F (4°C) and is available in
several standard colors.
These high build polyurethane finishes provide very good
weathering resistance in a broad range of colors and
are suitable for application over a number of Carboline
primers and intermediates. These finishes offer infinite
recoatability characteristics, an excellent feature for
future touch-up needs, and are VOC compliant to current
AIM regulations.
