Chapter 2 Product Introduction

The series of high-voltage transformers frequency speed control system is a

direct high-voltage output voltage source inverter. It uses a multi-stage H-
bridge power unit box to cascade to achieve perfect high-voltage waveform
output. You can directly drag ordinary asynchronous motors without boosting,
without installing any filters. The harmonic index strictly conforms to the
most severe requirements of the harmonics of the power grid by IEC and national
standards. Product features, application areas and product functions are briefly
introduced as follows:

2.1 Features
The series of high-voltage variable-frequency speed regulation systems are
suitable for standard three-phase AC (3kV, 6kV, 10kV) three-phase AC motors,
and have the following characteristics:

2.1.1 Low input harmonics

Series high-voltage variable frequency speed control system adopts up to 18 or
24 repetitions on the power supply side (3 or 4 units in series for 3kV systems),
30 or 36 or 48 or 54 repetitions (5 or 6 stages for 6kV systems) Or 8 or 9 units
in series), 54 or 60 heavy (9 or 10 units in series for 10kV systems)
rectification technology, small harmonic pollution on the grid side, high power
factor, in line with GB 14549-93 The requirements of IEEE std 519-1992 power
quality standard for voltage and current harmonic distortion do not require
power factor compensation and harmonic suppression devices, and do not cause
harmonic interference to other electrical equipment using the same power grid.

2.1.2 High power factor

The series of high-voltage variable frequency speed regulation systems maintain
a high power factor in the full speed range, and the full-load power factor can
reach above 0.95, thereby reducing the user ’s power transformer equipment
utilization and user-side power factor compensation problems caused by the low
power factor.
2.1.3 High efficiency
The series of high-voltage variable frequency speed control systems have a high
efficiency of> 95% at full load, which is much higher than that of traditional
speed control systems.

2.1.4 Strong adaptability to input voltage

When the voltage fluctuation on the input side of the power grid is within -15%
~ + 15% of the rated voltage, the output is automatically compensated by the
voltage fluctuation compensation algorithm to ensure the rated output. The grid-
side voltage is within 65% of the rated value and 115% of the rated value. Shut
down to ensure the continuous operation of the motor (because it may not be
able to run at full load due to low power supply voltage, which may lead to
derated operation).

2.1.5 Low output harmonics

The output side of the series high-voltage variable frequency speed control
system adopts phase-shifted multiple sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM)
and speed sensorless vector control technology. The output harmonic is very
small, and it can be adapted to various motors without the need for an output
filtering device. Low output voltage distortion, low current harmonic content,
does not increase the operating noise of the motor, avoids additional heating
of the motor, reduces the torque pulse, and reduces mechanical stress on the
device .

2.1.6 High reliability and easy maintenance

The IGBT power module used in the power circuit of the series high-voltage
variable frequency speed control system has a large voltage design margin. The
trigger and overcurrent protection of the IGBT module uses a dedicated drive
module circuit, which has high reliability.

The core control system of the series high-voltage variable-frequency speed

regulation system adopts dual DSP and ultra-large-scale integrated circuit
technology. The industrial-grade chassis design has reliable electromagnetic
protection functions. It integrates high-voltage variable-frequency speed
regulation control and professional motor protection functions. The complete
system has perfect fault location and protection functions. For the phase-to-
phase short circuit and single-phase ground fault that may occur in motors and
cables, it has specially designed a triple output phase-to-phase short-circuit
prevention function and overvoltage suppressor, which is more secure and
reliable. Authoritative organizations detect all protection functions including
output-to-phase short-circuit protection).

High-voltage variable frequency speed regulation system adopts modular design,

complete structure and process design, and unit components are interchangeable.

Can be replaced in a matter of minutes with simple tools. The complete set has
safety protection and anti-misoperation blocking functions.
The high-voltage variable frequency speed control system has automatic bypass
technology of the power unit, which enables the system to operate with faults,
which greatly increases the reliability of the system and the availability of
user equipment. It is suitable for industrial field applications such as power
plants with high reliability requirements.

2.1.7 Restart after power failure

After an instantaneous power outage or transient recoverable failure of the

power grid, within the allowable waiting time (the length can be set by the
user according to the process requirements, up to 30 seconds or longer), after
the system operating conditions are restored, within 0.2 ~ Within 1.0 second,
the ZINVERT high-voltage frequency conversion speed regulation system can
automatically search the motor speed, realize restart without impact, and resume
the operation to the set state to ensure the continuous operation reliability
of the motor operation and avoid losses caused by unnecessary shutdown.

2.1.8 Soft start, no inrush current

The high-voltage frequency conversion speed regulation system soft-starts the
motor. It has linear and quadratic curve forms to control the voltage-frequency
ratio. Each curve form has multiple curves for users to choose. The starting
time is set by the user, and an internal over-speed limiting function is provided
to ensure the inrush current of the motor, ensure the safe operation of the
motor, and extend its service life. The motor speed is automatically searched
during the startup process. It is not necessary to ensure that the motor is
stopped before stopping, and it can achieve rapid start without overcurrent
impact on the power grid and the motor.

2.1.9 Reduce motor wear and save maintenance costs

Fans, pumps and other loads use ZINVERT series high-voltage variable frequency
speed regulation system to reduce the speed of the motor to adjust the output,
which can not only achieve the purpose of energy saving, but also greatly reduce
the motor and its load. Mechanical wear saves users maintenance costs.

2.1.10 Significant energy saving benefits

Using ZINVERT series high-voltage frequency conversion speed regulation system
can automatically adjust the motor speed and load to achieve the purpose of
energy saving. For fans and pumps, the power consumption has a square
relationship with the motor speed. In theory, if the system is running at 90%
of the rated speed, its effective power can be reduced to 70%. When the system
is running at 80% of the rated speed, its effective power can be reduced. To
50%.

2.1.11 Strong scalability

The series of high-voltage variable frequency speed control systems are designed
with rich analog and digital I / O interfaces, communication and network
interfaces, and built-in PLCs, which can interface with various automation
equipment and systems to meet the different needs of various sites. This way,
and it has the function of alarm and protection for the frequency given signal
disconnection.

Chapter 4 Introduction to Working Principle

and Structure
The series of high-voltage variable-frequency speed regulation systems use
series power unit technology to solve the problem of device voltage resistance.

The superposition improves the harmonic performance of the output voltage and
reduces the dv / dt of the output voltage. The current multiplication technology
reduces the input-side harmonics and reduces the harmonic pollution to the power
grid. The main controller uses dual digital signal processors ( DSP), VLSI
programmable devices (CPLD and FPGA) as the core, together with data
acquisition, unit control and optical fiber communication loop, and built-in
programmable logic controller (PLC) form the system control part.
4.1 System composition and principle
The overall structure of a series of intelligent high-voltage variable-frequency
speed-adjusting complete systems

It consists of rectifier transformer, power inverter cabinet and control

cabinet.

It can also be equipped with manual or automatic power frequency bypass switch
cabinet according to user requirements.

4.1.1 Rectifier transformer

The secondary windings of the rectifier transformer are isolated from each
other.
The angular connection method ensures that the system works at a load of more
than 20%. The rate factor remains above 0.96.

4.1.2 Electrical principle of power unit

The power unit is mainly composed of a three-phase full-bridge rectifier, a

filter capacitor bank,
Inverter bridge (H-bridge) structure, also includes power device drive,
protection

Control the working state of IGBT, output PWM voltage waveform. Its electrical
principle is shown in Figure-1 shown. The unit output voltage is shown in Figure
4-2.

4.1.3 Power unit in series

The series of high-voltage variable frequency speed control systems are moved
by multiple power units.

Formed in series. The principle of voltage superposition is similar to the “

battery stack superposition” technology. Take 6kV each phase and six units in
series as shown in Figure 4-3 as an example. Each power unit outputs an effective
AC value Vo of 577V, and the phase voltage reaches 3464V. The line voltage It
is 6000V, and the output phase voltage waveform is shown in Figure 4-4.

As shown, the harmonic content is small and is very close to the standard sine
waveform.
4.2 Control system
The control of the series of high-voltage variable frequency speed control
systems adopts open loop and voltage-frequency ratio control. The structure is
simple and reliable. The main control part uses dual digital signal processors
(DSP) as the control core, supplemented by ultra-large-scale integrated circuit
programmable logic devices ( CPLD / FPGA), analog input sampling (AD) and analog
output (AO) unit, digital input output interface (DI / O). The man-machine
interface consists of a large-screen Chinese LCD (LCD), a digital tube display
(LED), and touch buttons. The control part of the unit is based on a programmable
logic device (CPLD), and is equipped with a dedicated IGBT drive and protection
module and input voltage, output current, DC voltage, and device temperature
detection loop. The control signals of the main control part and the unit
control part are transmitted through optical fibers to effectively avoid
electromagnetic interference and ensure the reliability of system control signal
transmission.

4.2.1 Control Strategy

The series of high-voltage variable frequency speed control systems adopt the
output voltage-frequency ratio control method. According to the steady-state
mathematical model of the asynchronous motor, as long as the motor back-EMF and
stator frequency ratios are kept constant, the motor can be operated at the
rated magnetic flux to achieve the highest efficiency. advantage. At the same
time, when the stator resistance and leakage inductance are ignored, the back-
EMF of the motor is equal to the stator terminal voltage. Since it is difficult
to directly control the back-EMF in the approximate case, a strategy is adopted
to ensure that the ratio between the terminal voltage and the stator frequency
is constant. ZINVERT series high-voltage frequency conversion speed regulation
system provides two types (straight and quadratic curve, function parameter F09
setting selection) V / F curve based on constant voltage frequency ratio control.
The two basic V / F curves are shown in the figure. 4-5. The user sets the
function parameters according to the site conditions (see Chapter 6 Human-
Machine Interface and Parameter Settings), selects the appropriate V / F curve
to compensate the stator voltage, and can select a more efficient curve according
to the type of load. If F06 = F05 is set, when the motor stator frequency
exceeds the rated frequency, the voltage will no longer rise and the rated
output voltage will remain unchanged.
The unit DC bus detection circuit specially designed for the series of high-
voltage variable frequency speed control systems can provide the DC bus voltage
value of each unit in real time, timely modify the modulation coefficient, and
further improve the control performance of the system. For fans and pumps, this
control method provides high enough accuracy. If PID control frequency is used,
it can fully meet the requirements of flow and pressure at the process site.

The output voltage

4.2.2 Power down and restart

The instantaneous voltage loss of the user's high-voltage power supply due to
bus switching, grid failure, etc. may occur. ZINVERT high-voltage frequency
conversion speed regulation system fully considers this situation, specially
designed power-off restart function, the maximum waiting time can be set to 30
seconds (function parameter code H03). After the voltage returns to normal, the
ZINVERT series high-voltage frequency conversion speed regulation system can
restart the high-speed rotating motor by itself within 0.1 to 1.0 seconds, and
the starting current is smooth and without impact to ensure the continuous and
stable operation of the user load. For different applications, users can
reasonably set the longest possible power-down recovery time according to their
own power grid conditions, or cancel this function by setting (function
parameter code H02).
4.2.3 Power frequency bypass function

When the frequency conversion speed regulation system fails or is shut down or
the frequency conversion speed regulation system is overhauled, the power
frequency bypass operation mode can be used to increase the utilization rate of
the user's load equipment and ensure the user's continuous production
requirements. According to different needs of users, it has manual power
frequency bypass and automatic work.

There are two ways of frequency bypass, which can be implemented in many ways.
They are designed and provided according to the user's process and equipment
requirements. The following two methods are used to introduce its operating
characteristics:

Manual power frequency bypass: ZINVERT series high voltage variable frequency
speed control system is designed with manual power frequency bypass wiring
principle as shown in Figure 4-6. Isolation switch is used as bypass switch
. When the frequency conversion speed control system fails or stops, or the
frequency conversion speed control system is overhauled, separate K1 and drive
K2 to the power frequency (for details, see 5.7 Conversion of frequency
conversion speed control system to bypass operation). The motor is directly
connected. The power frequency operation of the power grid, the load control
system is switched back to the traditional control methods such as dampers and
valves.
6kV, 10kV bus

kV, 10kV bus

Figure 4-6 Power frequency bypass wiring principle of manual bypass cabinet
Figure 4-7 Power frequency bypass wiring principle of manual bypass cabinet

Automatic power frequency bypass: ZINVERT series high voltage variable frequency
speed control system is designed with automatic power frequency bypass wiring
as shown in Figure 4-7. Vacuum contactors are used to replace isolated knife
gates. In order to ensure safety during maintenance, it can also be shown in
Figure 4

The isolation knife gate is added on the basis of -7 to form an obvious

disconnection point during maintenance to ensure the safety of equipment and
staff. When the frequency conversion speed regulation system fails or stops or
needs maintenance, it can automatically separate J1, J2, close J3 and switch to
power frequency operation. (For specific operations, please refer to 5.7
Conversion of Frequency Conversion Speed Control System Operation to Bypass
Operation). The motor is directly connected to the power frequency operation of
the power grid, and the load regulation control system is switched back to the
traditional control methods such as damper and valve.

4.2.4 Unit bypass function

In order to ensure the reliability of the system, the series of high-voltage
variable-frequency speed regulation systems are designed with a power unit
bypass function. Take the short-circuit switch K shown in the power unit diagram
of the frequency conversion speed regulation system as a bypass switch. When a
unit overheats, a short-circuit failure, or a charging failure of a unit occurs,
the control system automatically converts the power The contactor K in the unit
is closed, thereby blocking the output of the faulty unit, and at the same time,
bypassing the output of the other two units in the same phase that are out of
phase with it, while other power units in other stages are still output, ensuring
that the system is in a certain zone Load capacity (using multi-stage bypass,
output neutral point offset, voltage compensation and other technologies) to
maintain continuous operation of user loads.
Chapter 5 Operation Instructions

This chapter introduces the step-by-step detailed description of all the normal
operation steps after the ZINVERT series high-voltage variable frequency speed
control system is installed and commissioned. All the necessary operation steps
are numbered, and these operation steps must be strictly followed
accurately. Regarding the specific operation of the bypass cabinet, take the
common bypass schemes in Figure 4-6 and Figure 4-7 as an example. One-time
electrical wiring K1, K2 Please refer to Figure 4-7 for J1, J2, and J3.

vacuum contactors of the frequency conversion speed regulation system:

Check that the input side vacuum contactor J1 is in the closed position,

Check that the output side vacuum contactor J2 is in the closed position.

Check that the position of each transfer switch and pressure plate in the
control cabinet is correct.

Step 7 : Close all doors (except control cabinet doors).

Step 8 : Turn the "Remote / Local" and "Power Frequency / Frequency" switch on
the control cabinet to select the control method.
Step 9 : If remote control is selected, check if the remote control is ready.

5.2 Start

According to the control mode selected by the "local / remote" switch on the
control screen, the frequency given in different control modes is as follows:
Step1: Close the high-voltage AC input line breaker.
Step2: Check whether the ZINVERT system is ready, the allowable operation
indicator on the control cabinet is on, check the controller panel for faults,
and the alarm indicator should be off. There are no warning and fault messages
on the controller LCD screen. If there is a fault and the alarm is not cleared,
please refer to Chapter 11-Fault Detection and Troubleshooting for
troubleshooting.
Step3: Enter the frequency reference and start.

For the method of inputting the frequency reference, please refer to the
following description of 5.3 Change Variable frequency reference. Then start
the system output:
"Local" control mode: press the "Start" button on the control cabinet;

"Remote" control mode: Start the variable frequency speed control system through
the remote control input contact of the "start" switch of the control system

5.3 Change frequency set-point

According to the setting of the function parameters of the controller F01 (for
specific settings, please refer to Chapter 6-Man-Machine Interface and Parameter
Settings), there are various setting methods

LCD Digital setting mode: The setting is controlled by the keys on the controller
panel. Enter the main interface of the LCD screen. At this time, the cursor
should stop at a certain position of the set frequency value. The "←" and "→
" keys can change the cursor position, and the "↑" and "↓" keys are used to
increase or decrease the cursor position. Value. For specific panel operations,
refer to Chapter 6, HMI and Parameter Settings.

Analog setting mode: The setting uses analog input to set the frequency, and
the target output frequency is set by adjusting the system's 4-20mA analog input
signal. The relevant setting parameters are: the output target frequency and
the function parameter F13 (maximum analog input frequency) corresponding to
the analog 20mA, and the output parameter F14 function (the minimum analog input
frequency) corresponding to 4mA.

Remote communication setting mode: The setting adopts the communication setting
with the remote, and sets the output target frequency to change the frequency
through the communication setting of the remote background monitoring system.
After setting the target frequency in the remote monitoring system, it is sent
to the controller through communication.

5.4 Deceleration stop

For local control on the control screen, press the "Stop" key on the controller
panel or the "Stop" button on the control cabinet.

If it is controlled from a distance, the stop of the variable frequency speed

control system is controlled by controlling the remote input of the "stop"
switch of the control system. Note: Before the frequency output does not drop
to the stop frequency, press the "Start" key on the controller panel, the
"Start" button on the control cabinet or the "Start" switch value of the remote
control, and the system will run up to the frequency again to set Target
frequency.

5.5 Free stop

If it is controlled from a distance: the digital control will stop freely, and
the digital input contact will act in parallel with the control cabinet button.

5.6 Power off

Step 1: Perform stop or free stop operation of the frequency conversion speed
regulation system.
Step 2: Disconnect the AC input incoming circuit breaker.

If a standard automatic bypass cabinet is selected, disconnect the input and

output vacuum contacts and J1 and J2.

5.7 Operating status monitoring

There are two types of operating states: running and faults.

In addition to the signal indication of the operating status, the controller's

liquid crystal (LCD) main interface and the digital tube (LED) display contain
basic operating status information. The complete operating status content can
be displayed in the "Operation Monitoring" menu. For details, refer to Chapter
6 HMI and Parameter Setting.
The fault signal can be reflected on the LCD main interface of the controller
and the LED display and the external relay output contacts. For details, refer
to Chapter 6 HMI and Parameter Setting.

5.8 Variable frequency to industrial frequency bypass switching operation

If a standard manual bypass cabinet is selected, the operation is as follows:

Step 1: Perform the stop operation of the frequency conversion speed regulation
system.
Step 2: Disconnect the AC incoming circuit breaker.
Step 3: Disconnect the input-side knife gate K1 of the variable frequency speed
control system (refer to Chapter 4 Working Principle and Structure of Bypass
Principle Figure 4-6).
Step 4: Switch the knife gate K2 of the frequency conversion speed regulation
system to the “power frequency” position, and switch the “power frequency /
frequency conversion” switch in the control cabinet to “power frequency”.
Step6: Close the AC incoming circuit breaker, and the motor will switch to power
frequency operation.

If the user chooses an automatic bypass cabinet, the power frequency bypass of
the frequency conversion speed regulation system after a fault is automatically
performed in the following sequence (if manual operation, refer to the sequence
of operation of circuit breakers and contactors in this process)

After the inverter stops during a fault during frequency conversion operation,
the controller sends a node signal to control the incoming switch to open, and
then the controller sends a variable frequency to industrial frequency signal
to the PLC, opens J2, and delays 0.3 seconds to open J1. , And then delay J3
for 0.3 seconds to close. After the bypass cabinet is switched to the power
frequency state (that is, J3 is in the closed state and J2 is in the opened
state), and the incoming switch is in the opened state, the PLC sends a node
signal to control the incoming switch to close, and the motor switches to power
frequency operation. .
5.9 Power frequency bypass transition frequency operation

If a standard manual bypass cabinet is selected, the operation is as follows:

Step1 : Disconnect the AC incoming circuit breaker.
Step 2: Disconnect the bypass knife gate K3 of the variable frequency speed
control system.
Step 3: Close the input side knife brake K1 of the variable frequency speed
control system.
Step 4: Switch the knife gate K2 to the "frequency conversion position", and
switch the "power frequency / frequency conversion" switch in the control
cabinet to "frequency conversion".
Step6: Follow to start the previous steps (see 5.2). If the user chooses an
automatic bypass cabinet, the steps for converting the bypass operation to the
frequency conversion speed regulation system operation are as follows:

Step 1: Turn the manual / automatic knob on the control panel operation panel
to the automatic state. Allow power frequency conversion frequency board to
close.
Step 2: Press the power frequency change frequency button. If the bypass cabinet
is in the power frequency bypass state, the PLC output controls J3 to open,
delay 0.2 seconds, J1 to close, and delay 3 seconds, J2 to close. Switch the “
frequency / frequency conversion” switch in the control cabinet to “frequency
conversion”. Then perform the previous startup operation steps (see 5.2).

5.10 Maintenance of frequency conversion speed regulation system

Step 1: Perform power-off operation of the frequency conversion speed regulation
system (see 5.5).
Step 2: If a bypass cabinet is optional and the load still needs to run, you
can perform the previous steps of converting the frequency conversion speed
regulation system to bypass operation
Step4: Overhaul the transformer cabinet and power cabinet. (See Chapter 11 Fault
Detection and Troubleshooting)
Step 5: Remove the safety ground wire on the input side of the transformer after
the maintenance is completed.
Step6: If it is not bypassed, to resume the operation of the variable frequency
speed control system, you can perform the previous startup operation steps (see
5.2). Such as bypass operation, to resume the operation of the variable
frequency speed control system, you can perform the operation steps of the power
frequency bypass conversion frequency operation (see 5.9).

6.1.2 LED display

There are 15 LED light-emitting tubes on the panel of the controller, which
indicate the controller's power supply, CPU and operating status, and the
position of the output signal contact. The LED light-emitting tubes marked with
"signal" are used as system backup indicators, which has no practical
significance for the time being .

The 7-segment digital tube displays the display data during normal operation,
and the output frequency, voltage, current, and power can be selected. For
specific selection, the function number in the "parameter setting" is H16
parameter setting. This function sets the LED display content selection. The
specific settings and correspondence are shown in Table 6-1. Normally the output
frequency is displayed by default. When stopping after a serious fault, the
fault type number “EXXX” is displayed before the signal reset operation (see

Chapter 7 Control System Interface

This chapter introduces the control system interface of the ZINVERT series high-
voltage variable frequency speed control system, mainly the setting,
characteristics and application of the control I / O interface. For additional
user interface information for the two parts listed below, please refer to other
appropriate sections.

Main power supply input, power output of variable frequency system: Chapter 8
Installation instructions. Bypass Cabinet and Bypass Functions and Operations:
Chapter 5 Operation

7.1. Basic interface of frequency conversion control system

7.1.1 Control power input interface

◆ Three-phase control power input. As the input of control power such as

controller and system cooling fan, it is recommended to use UPS output from
large-capacity uninterruptible power supply. The capacity requirement is above
10kVA (ZINVERT series high-voltage variable frequency speed control system above
2000kVA requires more auxiliary power, please refer to specific design Drawing),
if the user can not provide this power, it should be stated when ordering.

◆ DC control power input (optional). As the input of the controller power

supply, it has a capacity of more than 1kW to increase the reliability of the
control system. This system automatically realizes the automatic switching of
the AC and DC power of the control power.

7.1.2 Protective ground and signal shield ground

In order to ensure the normal operation of the system equipment and personal
safety, it is recommended to use a 50mm cross-section cable to connect the
ground copper bar at the bottom of the equipment cabinet to the field ground
copper bar.
In order to ensure the normal operation of the control system, all signal cables
should be shielded at the single end of the system and the analog signal or
communication cable should be shielded twisted pair. 7.1.3 Controller signal
interface

◆ Digital (switching) input interface: The controller uses a digital interface

with optical isolation, and the control power uses the internally generated
system.

VDC, electromagnetic lock, etc. use 12VDC generated inside the system. Control
power supply voltage: 220VDC 35% ~ -20%

VDC 10% ~ -10%

◆ Digital (switching) output interface: relay dry contact, rated capacity

250VAC / 5A or 30VDC / 5A. ◆ Analog input interface: 0 ~ 20mA / 4 ~ 20mA or
0 ~ 10V / 2 ~ 10V, select by jumper and software setting. ◆ Analog output
interface: controller: 0 ~ 20mA / 4 ~ 20mA or 0 ~ 10V, select by jumper and
software setting. 7.1.4 Signal Interface of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)

In order to meet the requirements of the user's interlocking and closed-loop

control processes, such as , and to facilitate the design of the user's control
system, the system can be equipped with a programmable logic controller PLC as
required.

Digital input generally adopts optically isolated digital interface, and the
control power source uses 24VDC generated in the system. The type of digital
output can be customized according to technical requirements. Generally, there
are relay contacts or solid-state MOSFET interfaces.

For this system to realize output closed-loop PID control, it is necessary to

equip the PLC with analog input and analog output points. The type is customized
according to technical requirements.
The two input channels of CNT1 and CNT2 are fast digital input channels that
need to be connected to a 24VDC control power supply. They can be used as the
interface of the quadrature encoder output to the controller, and used as the
input of a photoelectric encoder to measure the actual speed of the motor.

The definition of each of the other digital inputs IN0 ~ IN15 can be selected
according to the design requirements of the electrical circuit in Table 7-1
Controller Digital Input Type Definition.

◆ Factory setting of controller digital input

According to the factory setting design of the system, the existing input signal
definitions are shown in Table 7-2 Controller digital input factory settings.
The definition of other digital inputs can be configured by the commissioning
personnel according to the site conditions (function parameters E00 ~ E15).

7.2.2 Digital output quantity Digital output quantity type

There are 6 types of digital output hardware. Manufacturers need to set the
factory settings according to the actual functions and interfaces of the user's
engineering site (inconvenient to change on site):
Type: Normally closed direct output contact, the maximum number of which is 3
(OUT0, OUT2, OUT4). The output contact can be opened after the controller
applies an excitation, and the excitation cancel contact is closed.
Type: Normally open direct output type contacts, the number of which is 3 to 9,
OUT1, OUT3, OUT5 are normally open direct output type contacts. Type A output
contacts OUT0, OUT2, OUT4 and c type output contacts OUT6, OUT7, OUT8 are
required It can be changed to b type according to technical requirements.) After
the controller applies the stimulus, the output contact is closed and the
stimulus cancel contact is opened.
Type: Normally open output contacts that need to be started, the maximum number
is . There are 3 (OUT6, OUT7, OUT8). When this contact is closed, a start signal
must be output first to stimulate a power control. The relay turns on the power
of the output relay, and then controls the output contact to close after the
excitation is applied. There is no start signal to excite or the output relay
excites the canceled contact to open.
Type: Self-retaining direct output contact, there are 5 (OUT9 ~ OUT13), which
can be directly output by the controller. After the controller applies the
excitation, the output contact is closed, and the state of the canceled contact
is unchanged. Only when a common reset is applied After the stimulus signal,
all are disconnected.
Type: Self-retaining direct output contact, there is one (OUT14), the controller
closes the output contact after the start stimulus signal is applied, and the
contact state remains unchanged after the start stimulus is canceled. Only when
a reset stimulus signal is applied can the output contact break open.
Type: The device has a self-test fault signal contact. The number is one (OUT15),
which is directly output by the controller. When a power failure or a CPU fault
is detected, the output contact is closed, and the contact is open during normal
operation.

The parameter setting of the controller is shown in Table 7-3. There are several
types of digital output volume definition types, which can be set and selected
in the output with the same output hardware type.

Chapter 8 Installation Instructions
This chapter introduces the electrical installation and mechanical installation
steps and precautions of ZINVERT series high voltage variable frequency speed
control system. Including the installation of the cabinet and the connection of
the ground, main circuit, motor and control part.

Safety precautions for installation

Requirements for foundation, space and surroundings

◆ Environmental requirements: Please refer to the relevant technical

requirements in this manual. For other related environmental conditions and
conditions such as air temperature, altitude and other conditions that exceed
the index, derating operations may be required, but there must be sufficient
air flow. Other factors such as relative humidity, air pollution, shock and
vibration should all be within the range allowed by the technical conditions
agreed upon by the system.

◆ Basic dimensions and spacing: For the cabinet size, external dimensions and
floor installation drawings of the frequency conversion speed regulation system,
please refer to the relevant drawings in the engineering technical data. All
cabinets should be installed as shown in the figure, and sufficient space should
be left on the periphery to ensure air flow and maximum door swing, as well as
the space required for maintenance. Provide access to the installation base
(aisle spacing, etc.) and ensure that space is provided to provide auxiliary
equipment for variable frequency speed control systems.

◆ Basic level and cable trench: ZINVERT's cabinet must be installed vertically,
and the foundation must be non-combustible material, smooth and wear-free
surface, moisture-proof and able to bear the weight of the variable frequency
speed control system (usually a channel steel base). Cable ducts must be non-
combustible materials (generally concrete, steel, etc.), non-abrasive surfaces,
moisture-proof, dust-proof, and measures to prevent animal entry.

8.3. Installation of high voltage part

8.3.1 Precautions
The frequency conversion speed regulation system belongs to high-voltage
electrical equipment. Correct installation can ensure the safety of users' lives
and property, especially the installation of high-voltage parts must meet the
relevant requirements of high-voltage electrical installation, and pay attention
to the following points:

◆ High-voltage installation personnel must undergo vocational skills training

and obtain corresponding qualification certificates. Operations should be
carried out in strict accordance with the relevant safety operations and safe
operating procedures of the national power industry.

◆ All incoming and outgoing wires must meet the requirements of electrical
insulation, and connection wires that do not meet technical requirements must
not be used to avoid potential risks to human life and user equipment.

◆ All high-voltage connectors must be insulated to ensure good insulation.

◆ The high-voltage connection must be clean to meet its cleanliness

requirements.

◆ The electrical insulation distance of the high voltage part must meet the
requirements of the electrical safety distance, so as not to cause a short
circuit due to discharge.

◆ After all connections are completed, the electrical input of the system
should be tested for electrical insulation performance. The reference values
for the test voltage are as follows: 6kV system is 25kV, 10kV system is 35kV.
The actual insulation test voltage should be 75% of the above value during the
field handover test . If the air humidity at the site is obviously too high, or
there is a long period of high humidity in the long-term storage environment
before the system is installed, commissioned, and operated, you should pay
attention to

◆ The signs of high voltage parts must be clearly visible to avoid mistakes.

◆ Since the motor rotation is related to the phase sequence, the phase sequence
of the input and output lines must be completely correct during installation.

8.3.2 Installation of high current parts

In order to make the variable frequency speed control system better meet the
requirements of use and achieve technical performance, it is necessary to pay
great attention to the installation of high current parts (all access terminals
and output terminals with a flow greater than 10A should be used as high current
terminals). The main points to note are:

◆ Terminals should be made of materials with particularly good conductivity

such as oxygen-free copper terminals, silver-plated or tin-plated fasteners and
other connection materials. ◆ Wash the terminals carefully with alcohol before
connecting them.

◆ The connection of all connection points should be very reliable. Fasteners

should be tightened with wrenches. Important connection points should also be
tightened reliably with torque wrenches to ensure contact resistance is less
than 2 milliohms.

◆ All high-current connection parts should include spring washers. After

tightening, the spring washers should be flattened. ◆ The current density of
the high-current connection line should be appropriate, so as not to cause heat
and affect the use of the device.

8.3.3. Equipment and cable requirements

◆ Main circuit breaker

The main circuit breaker can be a vacuum or gas body-insulated circuit

breaker. It must meet the requirements of both the voltage and current of the
power supply and the rated voltage and current of the transformer primary
side. In addition, its basic electrical characteristics and protection
configuration must also withstand the fault current caused by the transformer
closing surge current without tripping and breaking the transformer secondary
side short circuit within 100ms.

◆ Protection equipment
The high-voltage switch on the power side of the high-voltage variable-frequency
speed regulation system must be reasonably protected. The setting of the
protection setting should be performed with reference to the following
principles:

The switch must trip immediately when a short circuit in the transformer's
primary winding or primary incoming cable fails. The setting value of the
protection operating current should be guaranteed to avoid the no-load closing
inrush current of the rectifier transformer without tripping (it can be set to
8 to 10 times the rated current of the rectifier transformer).

Transformer secondary side fault protection adopts delayed trip mode. When the
transformer secondary side winding, the cable connecting the transformer
secondary side to the system unit and the unit input rectifier bridge are short-
circuited, the incoming switch can be tripped. The protection delay is short,
and the time setting can be adjusted to be set long enough to ensure that the
transformer does not trip during the inrush current. The setting value of the
operating current can be set to twice the rated current of the rectifier
transformer to ensure that the secondary side fault of the rectifier transformer
can trip within 500ms.

Overload protection (optional) is long-term overload protection with inverse

time characteristics. Protects transformers and cables from long-term
overload. According to the requirements of the regulations, motors with a
capacity of less than 2000 kW but insufficient quick-break sensitivity or a
capacity of more than 2000 kW need to be installed with longitudinal differential
protection. ), The microcomputer differential protection based on the
calculation of the power frequency current must be withdrawn, the magnetic
balance electromagnetic longitudinal differential protection of the CT installed
on the input side of the inverter on the input switch of the frequency converter
must also be taken out of operation, and turned on when the power frequency
bypass It is advisable that the protection's throwback function is automatically
implemented in the control technology scheme.

◆ Transformer primary cable

There are no special requirements for the cable from the circuit breaker to the
primary side of the phase-shifting transformer of the Zinvert series high-
voltage variable frequency speed control system. Its rated voltage value should
be consistent with the primary circuit voltage value. The rated current of the
cable should meet the transformer and protection settings. Design the cable
derating value according to the maximum expected ambient temperature, cooling
factors and other factors required by local electrical regulations, and install
according to the standard of medium voltage devices.

◆ Output cable to the motor

The cable from Zinvert series high voltage variable frequency speed control
system to the motor has no special requirements, and the recommended length is
generally not more than 1000 meters. The rated voltage is the same as the motor
model, and the rated current of the cable should meet the allowed overload
current of the motor model and motor protection. The derating of the cable
should refer to the expected maximum ambient temperature of ambient
temperature, cooling factors, and other factors required by the application of
national electrical standards. Installation must be in accordance with

Since the output voltage and current waveforms of the ZINVERT variable frequency
speed control system are close to the standard sine wave, the cable does not
require special shielding. Therefore, no special measures need to be taken for
common mode current.

8.4. Equipment ground

The user needs to ensure that the system's ground network is good, and provide
a good ground wire with a grounding resistance of less than 4 ohms. The cross-
section of the copper core cable used for the connection between the ground
point of the ZINVERT high-voltage variable frequency speed control system set
to the ground point of the power grid must not be less than 50mm. If the base
of the cabinet is welded and fixed to the base channel when the system is
installed, a separate copper bar or cable must be used to reliably connect the
ground points of each cabinet of the Zinvert series high-voltage variable
frequency speed control system complete set and ground it. The method is shown
in the following figure:
8.5. Auxiliary power and cables

The user should provide three-phase AC power without interruption. The auxiliary
three-phase power capacity required by ZINVERT high-voltage variable frequency
speed control system is not less than 10kVA (refer to the design drawing
requirements for the control power capacity of large-capacity systems above
2000kVA). If this power supply cannot be provided or the quality of the power
supply cannot be guaranteed, it must be specified when ordering.

Since the load includes a three-phase cooling fan, care must be taken to ensure
that the phase sequence of A, B, and C of the three-phase control power supply
is correct. The auxiliary power supply requires the use of a 380V three-phase
four-wire cable with a neutral line, and the incoming and outgoing lines.
Regulations should meet industry standards for power installations.
8.6 Control signal cable

Select the control cable according to Table 8-1. The shield of the cable is
grounded only on the single end of the ZINVERT high-voltage variable frequency
speed control system. One or more twisted pairs can be used. Whether to use
armored cables depends on the site conditions of the user. To prevent rodent
infestation, it is recommended to use armored cables or other corresponding
protection.

Table 8-1 Control cable requirements

8.7 Cable routing

8.7.1 Power cables

The wiring of the main power and motor cables must conform to national standards,
and please refer to according to the instructions and recommendations of the
cable manufacturer.

◆ It is recommended to use separately shielded armored three-phase cables. If

single-phase cables are used, the three-phase cables must be combined to ensure
EMC characteristics.

◆ If the cross-sectional area of the cable shielding layer is less than 50% of
the cross-sectional area of one phase, an additional ground wire must be added
along the cable to avoid cable shielding.

◆ Cable end According to the requirements of the cable manufacturer, the cable
must be installed with a cable connector at the end.
◆ Because the output voltage and current waveforms of the frequency conversion
speed regulation system are close to sinusoidal, the maximum length of the cable
connected to the motor only needs to consider its voltage drop, but it is
generally recommended not to exceed 1km. When the field cable length exceeds
1km, it should be proposed when ordering.

◆ The ground connection of the corresponding cable must comply with national
electrical installation standards.

8.7.2 Control cables

In order to ensure the normal operation of the variable frequency speed control
system, it is necessary to ensure that various signal lines work normally
without being subject to various electromagnetic interference. Therefore,
external signal lines such as signal lines connected to DCS systems, remote
control signal lines, etc. When installing the output lines and various
measurement signal lines, you must pay attention to the correct installation of
these signal lines in the following aspects.

◆ It is necessary to ensure the separate wiring of signal lines and power

lines, especially high-current high-voltage lines to avoid electromagnetic
interference. Control cables should not be run in parallel with power cables. If
this cannot be avoided, a minimum distance of 30 cm must be maintained between
the control cable and the main cable. When the control cable and power cable
need to cross, 90 ° C cross wiring should be used.

◆ Digital signal lines and analog signal lines should be routed as far as
possible to avoid mutual interference.

◆ If the signal line and power line must be routed in the same place, shield
the signal line to minimize the interference caused by the power line to the
signal line.

◆ Avoid parallel wiring of signal lines and power lines to avoid interference.

◆ The signal ground must be reliably connected to the shielded wire, and the
shielding layer must also be reliably grounded at one end.

◆ When necessary, the signal line can be connected with the external after the
metal conductive sleeve is threaded, so that various interference signals can
be reliably isolated to ensure the normal operation of the variable frequency
speed control system.

8.8 Mechanical installation

8.8.1 Introduction to mechanical structure

The main body of the frequency conversion speed regulation system consists of
transformer cabinet, power inverter cabinet, control cabinet and so on. In some
cases, the complete equipment also includes incoming and outgoing cabinets,
bypass switch cabinets, etc., so the equipment should be arranged according to
appropriate positions for different projects, and layout and installation
drawings are given.

Figure 8-1 is a schematic diagram of the cabinet layout of the "1" layout of
the ZINVERT high-voltage variable frequency speed control system.

The frequency conversion speed regulation system is composed of more than 3

cabinets (depending on the power and layout), and the installation is located
on a concrete pouring flat steel foundation frame, and the surface unevenness
is less than 5mm. The input transformer in its transformer cabinet is
transported separately and installed on the channel steel plate on the ground.

The power unit in the frequency conversion cabinet is usually transported in a

separate package. After reaching the destination, it is installed in the guide
rail of the power inverter cabinet under the guidance of the commissioning
engineer of Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd.
After the cabinets are assembled and positioned, the cabinets are spot-welded
to the channel steel. The connection lines between the cabinets and the cabinets
should be completed under the guidance of the commissioning engineer of
Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd.

8.8.2 Cabinet installation

The following installation instructions are for general installations in an

industrial environment. For application in special environment, please consult
Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. for detailed installation procedures.

section 8.2 Foundation, space and surrounding environment requirements are
met. ◆ Check the basic level with a spirit level. Allows maximum overall
unevenness <5mm. If the ground is uneven, it must be level. ◆ Move to the
installation position. If it is necessary to move the ZINVERT device with a
crane, etc., be sure to protect the cabinet device from the direct compression
and friction of the strap, which will cause the cabinet to deform and the paint
to peel off and damage the appearance of the cabinet.

◆ Open all the cabinet doors and carefully inspect the variable frequency speed
control system and its accompanying equipment for possible transportation
damage. If any parts are damaged or lost, please contact the technical service
department and transportation company of Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd.
immediately. Please pay attention to how to open the cabinet door.

◆ Check that the cabinet doors of the ZINVERT system are tightly closed. ◆
Carefully move the cabinet to its installation position.

◆ Check whether the door can be fully opened and closed. If not, you need to
adjust the level of the cabinet and its foundation. Check the mechanical and
electromagnetic lock on the door: the front door cannot be opened except the
door of the control part before and during operation. The electromagnetic lock
can only be opened after a high voltage power outage or forced release of the
pressure plate. If the cabinet door is open during operation, the system will
alarm.

Note: Please pay attention to the method of opening the cabinet door. Do not
open the cabinet door forcibly, or the equipment will be damaged.

braided cables to connect the shields of all wires to the ground bus. ◆ Close
all open doors and tighten the screws. All joints must be fixed.

8.9.3 Connection of auxiliary power cable

Auxiliary power cable should be routed from the bottom of the control cabinet.
Follow these steps:
◆ Open the front door of the control cabinet and connect the auxiliary power
cable to the corresponding terminal according to the drawing. If using a
shielded cable, strip the cable insulation at the cable entry and connect the
stranded conductor of the cable shield to the protective ground at one end.

◆ Pay attention to the phase sequence of the three-phase AC power supply to

ensure that the heat dissipation and ventilation motor in the system device is
turned correctly and exhausted to the outside.

8.9.4 Control cable connection

Even if ZINVERT's main power and auxiliary power are cut off, dangerous voltages
from external circuits may exist in the control cables. The connection of
control cables must refer to the corresponding engineering drawings.

8.10 Installation of cooling system

The high-voltage variable frequency speed control system uses semiconductor

converter technology and uses input phase-shifting rectifier transformers and
semiconductor switches to generate heat during operation. In the factory design
of high-voltage variable frequency speed control systems, equipment
manufacturers generally only consider how to convert the internal Effective
heat removal cabinet

In fact, in many applications, in order to prevent dust, the high-voltage

variable-frequency speed control system is installed in a closed control room.
The heat emitted during long-term operation will cause the ambient temperature
in the room to rise, giving reliable operation of the high-voltage variable-
frequency. To adverse effects. Therefore, when designing and applying a high-
voltage variable frequency speed control system, the owner must refer to the
multiple options proposed by the equipment manufacturer. According to the on-
site environment and the opinions of the equipment manufacturer, consider
expelling heat from the control room or reducing the ambient temperature of the
control room. .

What kind of cooling system or cooling system is used? Equipment manufacturers

will give opinions in the technical design liaison and construction drawings.
This part of the work is implemented by the owner with reference to the equipment
manufacturer's opinions. Generally, the manufacturer is not responsible for the
external cooling air duct and Installation and manufacturing of refrigeration
systems. The cooling and cooling system is very important for the reliability
of high-voltage variable-frequency operation.

condensation. ◆ Check whether the LED and LCD display on the controller panel
is normal. ◆ Check the system for abnormal vibration or noise and odor.

◆ Check the LCD for alarm information and recent event records to be processed.

10.3.3 Monthly inspection

◆ Check the dust filter of the air inlet on the cabinet door. If there is
obvious dust, remove it and clean it. When disassembling, pay attention that
the tools must not penetrate into the cabinet door to prevent electric shock. The
air filter should be cleaned and aired after drying.

◆ The heat dissipation of the frequency conversion power unit is accomplished

by the air flowing through the radiator fins. If there is obvious dust at the
radiator inlet, the unit should be cleaned by vacuum. For the steps of power
failure maintenance, please refer to the related description above.

◆ Check the operation of the cooling system: Put a standard A4 printing paper
at the air inlet of the dust filter of each electrical cabinet, and the paper
should be adsorbed on the dust filter.

10.3.4 Quarterly Inspection

◆ Monthly inspection, plus check all electrical connections for tightness.

◆ Use a vacuum cleaner with plastic nozzles to thoroughly clean the inside and
outside of the cabinet to ensure that the equipment is dust-free and ensure
heat dissipation. Care should be taken not to be near high voltage live parts
during maintenance.

10.3.5 Parts replacement

◆ Regularly replace some consumable parts such as fuses.

◆ When a fault occurs, replacing the technically difficult components (such as

the power unit) as a whole is the best way to troubleshoot the fault. But it
must be noted that the new replacement parts should be consistent with the
original part model specifications. It is recommended that users prepare some
spare parts appropriately to ensure trouble-free operation time of the
equipment. Various spare parts of the company's variable frequency speed control
system can be ordered through the technical service department of Guangzhou
Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd., and we will provide you with timely service.

Chapter 11 Fault Detection and Troubleshooting

This chapter mainly introduces the information and instructions on how to

operate when the ZINVERT system fails. The object of this chapter is responsible
for ZINVERT

11.1 Fault classification

According to the severity of the impact on the operation of the ZINVERT system,
there are two levels of fault information:

◆ Fault: When a serious fault occurs in the frequency conversion speed

regulation system and the equipment (transformer, motor, etc.) connected to it,
an error message is formed. At this time, the frequency conversion speed
regulation system will block the output and keep the output stopped (except for
some in the frequency conversion speed regulation). After the failure of the
high-speed system is eliminated, the frequency conversion speed regulation
system can automatically restart.

In order to restart the system after a shutdown due to a fault, the fault must
be manually reset after the fault is eliminated. You can press the "function"
button on the controller or the "silence" button on the control screen, or you
can operate the "silence" button if you set it in a remote place.

◆ Alarm: When a less serious fault occurs, it is not necessary to immediately

stop the operation of the frequency conversion speed regulation system, the
system gives an alarm. Operation is still possible at this time. However,
failure to deal with the alarm signal to clear it within a certain period of
time will cause failure (for example: high temperature alarm signal caused by
poor heat dissipation due to ambient temperature exceeding the allowed ambient
temperature range or blocked air filter).

For specific fault types, see Table 11-1 Alarm and fault messages, their possible
causes, and solutions.

11.2 Fault indication

After the system is shut down or the alarm is maintained, if the power supply
of the controller is normal, the controller's LCD should have an alarm or fault
display, and the audible and visual alarm will start to alarm until the signal
is "silenced". If it is the fault that caused the shutdown, the fault code
"EXXX" will be displayed on the seven-segment LED digital tube. If the required
output contact is set in the parameter setting, then the corresponding digital
output relay contact will be closed (for specific setting and content, please
refer to Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 above) Relevant sections).

After a fault has caused a shutdown, if the function parameter H02 "Instantaneous
restart restart setting mode" is set to allow, then when the fault disappears
within the time set by the function parameter H03 "Instantaneous restart restart
waiting time" and the system automatically restarts successfully , The fault
signal will automatically return, and the acousto-optic alarm will automatically
stop alarming; otherwise, the LCD screen and the digital tube will keep
displaying the fault information, and the acousto-optic alarm will continue to
alarm until the signal is "silenced".

After troubleshooting, press the "function" button on the controller or the

"silence" button on the control screen, you can also operate the remote "silence"
switch contact to reset the signal. After the reset, the fault information will
no longer be displayed in the actual signal display mode, but the fault
information has been stored in the fault record, and the sound and light alarm
will automatically stop alarming.

11.3 Fault records

ZINVERT can store up to 1000 records of recent fault and alarm

information. Records and displays include the date, time and number of the fault
alarm, the system input and output at the time of the fault and the status of
the controller. For the query and browsing operations of fault and alarm event
records, refer to 6.3.6 Event Records in Chapter 6, Human Machine Interface and
Parameter Setting.

11.4 Standard procedure for fault detection

If the system fails, proceed as follows:

◆ Safety measures: Familiarize yourself with the contents of this chapter and
the safety instructions in Chapter 1.

◆ Check the fault records on the controller, and record the actual faults and
fault records in the controller in detail. And please do not clear the fault
record.

◆ Analyze the cause of the failure and make a log record.

◆ If industrial frequency bypass is required, please refer to section 5.7

Conversion from Frequency Converter Speed Control System to Bypass Operation
for specific operating instructions.

Refer to Table 11-1 for explanations of error messages. The table also gives
solutions to faults. Any fault and alarm information records include:

The time and date of the occurrence;

Load conditions (rated load, overload or light load, frequency up or down,

etc.);

Parameters for system real-time operation (input and output current, voltage,
unit DC voltage, unit information, etc.) Controller control parameters (factory
reference);

External environmental or operating conditions

(Ambient temperature, heat dissipation conditions, etc.).

When contacting Guangzhou Zhi service personnel of Optoelectronics Co., Ltd.,

it is necessary to provide necessary fault analysis data, which will be used
when troubleshooting.

◆ Try to troubleshoot according to the instructions in Table 11-1.

Follow the instructions in Table 11-1. If the fault cannot be rectified, do not
try to rectify the fault according to your own ideas. Please contact the
technical service department of Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd.
immediately until the fault is rectified.

◆ Detection:

The main power and motor are connected.

Auxiliary power and control circuit are connected. No tools or foreign objects
remain in the cabinet.

All cabinet doors, including protective isolation doors and control section
doors, are closed.

◆ Turn on the auxiliary power. .

◆ Restart the variable frequency speed regulation system, refer to Chapter 5

for operating instructions.

Alarm and fault messages, their possible causes, and solutions

Table 11-1 lists all error messages and all possible causes. Users should note
that many alarms and faults are related to specific equipment (such as the type
of transformer, cooling system) and external protection equipment provided by
the user. For specific solutions, refer to troubleshooting and troubleshooting
measures.

11.6 Unit bypass

11.6.1 Unit bypass function description

The frequency conversion speed regulation system can adopt the unit bypass
operation mode to bypass the faulty unit, so that the frequency conversion speed
regulation system can run with failure, which greatly increases the reliability
of the system and is suitable for high reliability applications such as power
plants.

After the unit bypass function takes effect, the unit in the system is in the
bypass working state. At this time, the user should closely monitor the working
status of the system and run according to the derated load allowed by the
system. If conditions permit, it should be arranged as early as possible for
processing and replacement failures

The unit. The system will send an alarm signal when the unit is bypassed.

11.6.2 Unit bypass mode

◆ When a unit has a bypass fault, the frequency conversion speed regulation
system uses a contactor to bypass this unit and the other two units of the same
level. (Neutral offset control algorithms can be used for special requirements,
and only the faulty unit is bypassed.)

◆ After bypassing, the system operation is adjusted from N-level to N-1-level

operation, and the symmetrical output is still maintained (especially it is
required to use the neutral point offset control algorithm to only maintain the
output line voltage balance and phase voltage deviation.).

◆ After bypassing, the system needs to be derated under large loads, and the
system operation remains unchanged under small and medium loads. Corresponding
to different series systems, the derating range that allows first-stage bypass
operation is different from . After the system of level 7 or higher is bypassed,
the control algorithm changes to ensure that the system can still run at full
load.

◆ Bypass operation signal is given to alert the user during bypass operation,
and the fault information on the LCD interface can be consulted to display and
locate the faulty unit.

11.7 Power frequency bypass

When the ZINVERT series high-voltage variable frequency speed control system
needs to be checked and repaired after the system fails, if a power frequency
bypass is required, the standard manual bypass cabinet is separated from K1 and
K2 is switched to the “power frequency” position. The frequency bypass wiring
principle is shown in Figure 4-6), and the automatic bypass cabinet is separated
by J1, J2, and closed J3 (refer to the power frequency bypass wiring principle
shown in Figure 4-7). For specific operations, please refer to 5.7 Conversion
of Variable Frequency Speed Control System Operation to Bypass Operation. The
motor is directly connected to the power frequency operation of the power grid,
and the load regulation control system is switched back to the traditional
control methods such as damper and valve. Through the power frequency bypass
function, the adaptability of the entire system is improved to ensure the
continuous operation requirements of user loads.

When the load drive is switched from the industrial frequency to the ZINVERT
variable frequency speed control system after the maintenance is completed,
please refer to 5.8 Bypass Operation for Conversion to the Variable Frequency
Speed Control System Operation for specific operation instructions.

improve the reliability of the frequency conversion speed regulation system,
Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. has determined the basic requirements for
transportation and storage. The environmental requirements for transportation
and storage detailed in this chapter must be strictly adhered to.

12.1 Transportation and storage process environmental requirements:

The series of high-voltage variable frequency speed regulation systems can be
transported by any means of transportation such as cars, trains, airplanes,
ships, etc. During transportation, the product must be handled with care, rain
and exposure are strictly prohibited, and there should be no severe vibration,
impact and upside-down.
