1. Define the term ‘Time constant’ of a circuit, in general.

B) In the RC circuit shown in figure the capacitor has an initial charge of Q0 coulombs. When the
switch is closed at t=0, the transient power in the resistor is given by PR=1000 e-5000t. Find the
value of C and the charge Q0.
