Conclusion ................................................................................................................... 38
Introduction
Some of us are extremely bright but still emotionally crippled. There are those of us who
are extremely loving but still have to deal with a very chaotic life. How many people
have you met that are rich in faith but lack in charity? What about those extremely
creative but are held back by lack of confidence? The other question you should ask is,
why are some of us so lopsided in our development?

It is usual to feel love, but somehow some of us are just unable to express it. Many of us
feel so powerful and confident in our abilities, get frightened the moment we try to
realize our potential. The above questions and scenarios depict contradictions in our lives.
What is the reason for such contradictions? Chakra system may give you the answer.

We tend to react to situations that are challenging with anger, insecurity, and fear as well,
not even realizing that our experiences are our own creations. Chakra meditation is a
book written with the target of teaching the readers how they can shift their focus away
from the problematic mindset and focus their time and efforts on realigning with the inner
energy known as chakra which when unbalanced, is responsible for all the contradictions
we have seen above.

The Chakras balancing is an ancient art originating from India. It is a model used to
awaken and balance the physical, mental, emotional, and the spiritual energies. In
Chakras, these form vortexes of energy that serves as the map of your inner world. So,
the more freely the energy flows through these energy centers, the stronger the state of
your health and wellbeing.

When you experience problems, conflicts and any form of challenges in your life, the
Chakras is the right tool that will help you to identify the root cause of the problem. This
book empowers you with powerful techniques that you can deploy and allow energy to
flow freely through the seven Chakras and move your consciousness to another level in
the process. Once you correctly align the inner world, you start experiencing life in a
more joyful and harmonious way. This allows the outer world to fall in place too.
Chapter 1: The History and Origins of Chakra
System
What it Chakras?
The Sanskrit word Chakra is literally translated as "wheel" or "turning" and even though
it originated in Hindu texts, is found in the Tibetan, Chinese, and Tamil languages as well.
The Chakras are vortices, which exist in our bodies and are responsible for different
aspects of our lives, and even though various systems and numbers exist, the most well-
known of them recognizes seven major such energy centers.

Chakras are simply energy centers within the body. This ancient Sanskrit word literally
translates as, "wheels of light." These wheels of light are located vertically in the center
of your body, aligned approximately with your spine. Each chakra influences and
represents a specific region of the body. As you learn how each affects your health, you
can also learn how to improve the quality of your overall state of opening, clearing,
strengthening, and understanding your chakras.

In the Hindi texts, known as Tantras, the Chakras are described as Padaka-Pancaka and
Sat-Cakra-Nirupana and are parts of a complex system, which includes the Kundalini as
well. Many of these old texts have different variations, lasting anywhere from five to
twelve main Padaka-Pancakas, but all these systems have the same goal - the awakening
of the Kundalini through the rise of the Chakras. As the Kundalini awakens and rises
through our bodies, it keeps piercing the different vortices, and the person achieves a new
level of Siddhi or perfection. The ultimate goal of self-awareness is achieved when the
Kundalini reaches the head, and the person is united with the Divine.

Apart from the seven main Chakras, smaller ones, which are called medians, exist as
well: when any of Chakras are not aligned, then the person could suffer from physical or
mental illness or imbalance. The alignment and the awakening of these vortices could be
achieved by the sense of touch, which is what makes the Tantric massages so beneficial.
When you find yourself in the hands of a Tantric Goddess, you will not only form a
unique bond and receive extremely sensual massage, but also obtain the full healing
benefits as well. Since the Universal energy, love, and knowledge flow through our
bodies, allowing them to pass freely and effortlessly is important for every aspect of our
lives.

Chakras as Parts of Your Body

Follow them from the base of your spine upwards to the top of your head. The 1st chakra
or base chakra is your foundation, your feelings of "safety and security." Just above that
around your hips or abdomen is the 2nd chakra, what drives you in life. The 3rd chakra
right in the middle of your body and center of self is around the stomach. The 4th chakra
is your heart, your feelings. The 5th chakra is your voice, your throat, what you want to
convey to the world. The 6th chakra is intuition, instinct and the 'eye' between the eyes.
The 7th chakra is that halo that hangs over your head. It's that conduit to reach out to the
unseen and spiritual world.

Chakras as Parts of Yourself

You can think of each chakra as various aspects of yourself: from bottom to top: 1st: your
foundation; 2nd: your physical needs wants and desires; 3rd: your self-esteem and
empowerment; 4th: your emotions and feelings; 5th: you need to vocalize your dreams
and express your beliefs; 6th: your intuition and instincts; 7th: your spirit and relationship
to the universe and Higher Awareness.

Chakras as Colors

It's easy to see the charkas as colors. Colors express more than just what's seen with the
eye. They convey messages, evoke emotions and set the tone. Notice how the power
shifts as you move from color to color up the chakra scale: (from the bottom up): 1st is
red, 2nd is orange, 3rd is yellow, 4th is green, 5th is blue, 6th is light purple, the 7th is
whitish-gold. Notice how red is made up of the colors orange and yellow. Just like in life,
your foundation is also based on your relationship with yourself and other combined with
your needs and desires. Just like blue is made up of yellow and green or you express your
beliefs through your self-esteem and your voice.

Chakras as Parts of the World

Think of the chakras as your inner world and outer world. You have a relationship to
your things, to people in your life, to yourself and to the spiritual side of life. Your
relationship to people and things are in the lower chakras, the base ones; the top chakras
are the relationships to the unseen, the spiritual and in between are the chakras that relate
to you and yourself with the world because you are a mix of what is physical in this
world and what is spiritual. That mix of energies is what makes up who you are: the
center of your energy source, the center of your body: the center of your world.

Why It Is Important To Balance Your Chakras

When a chakra is imbalanced or out-of-tune, the impaired energy may cause disease,
mentally, physically, or emotionally.

Blockage of a chakra may result in an unexplained weakness, deficiency, or chronic

ailment on the part of the body that it resides.
If the heart chakra is unbalanced, you may have trouble forming close relationships,
exhibiting empathy, or you may be too emotional and take things to heart, causing
suffering and worry.

All chakras need to be open to a healthy mind, body, and soul. Your well-being is
counting on balance.

When not balanced, feelings of peace will be foreign to you.

Your body shape, glandular procedures, physical ailments, thoughts, and behavior, can be
controlled by a chakra.

Open chakras have a good effect on all aspects of your life.

When balanced and aligned, you'll have a better understanding of yourself on all levels.

Your ability to attract, assimilate and direct your energy effectively, for your well-being,
is determinate upon balanced chakras.

The more open your chakras, the more control you have over your health, abundance, and
happiness.

Balanced chakras help you feel alive and vibrant.

The more balanced your chakras are, the more energy you store, the more you have to use,
and the more powerful you become in controlling your own individual reality.

The less balanced your chakras, the less energy you store, resulting in lack of motivation,
lack of health, lack of success, and lack of just about everything else of positive nature.

The importance of balancing your chakras is fundamental to your overall well-being and
can be easily initiated by accessing and activating each of their distinct frequencies, using
brainwave entrainment as a tool.

Making sure that the "windows of your soul" are open and functioning, is the beginning
step to expressing your life-force energy in the most positive way.

Clearing and balancing each of your chakras will allow you to live your best life.

The Origin and History of Chakras

Over time, Chakras have gained in popularity and become the New Age parlance. We are
now confronted with many interpretations of what Chakras mean and how they function.
As much as this popularity is responsible for making Chakras a household name,
unfortunately, it is also spreading a lot of conflicts, erroneous information, and confusion.
Tracing the history of Chakras is not that difficult. It is an art that originates from ancient
traditions. This section traces the origin and development the Chakras through its journey
in history.

The Vedas (1,500-500 B.C) stands out as the oldest written traditions in India. These are
recorded oral traditions, the work of the upper caste Brahmins. Brahmins are thought to
be the descendants of Aryan stocks (entered Indian subcontinent from the north).
According to Vedas, chakras originally meant “wheel.” It was used in reference to the
chariot wheels of the early rulers known as cakravartins. The same word was also used as
a metaphor for the sun. The sun traverses the world just like the triumphant chariots
belonging to the catravartin. It denotes the eternal wheel of time that is known as
kalacakra in the Vedas literature. In the ancient times, Kalacakra represented the celestial
order and balance.

In those ancient days, the birth of cakrayartin was believed to herald a new age. Such
births were thought to be preceded by a golden disk of light, not so much different from
the halo of Christ. However, the spinning disk comes in front (this could be their
powerful third chakra). As the story goes, god Vishnu when descending to Earth, had in
his four arms a cakra, a club, a lotus flower and a conch shell.

There are mentions of the chakras as psychic centers of consciousness especially in the
Yoga Upanishads (circa 600 B.C). Later, it is also mentioned in the Yoga Sutras of
Patanjali (circa 200 B.C.). Most of the Patanjali interpretations read a dualism between
the purusha (purusha means pure consciousness) and the prakriti (which is the prima
material of the world). This could be interpreted to mean that the primary goal of yoga
was to bring about the realization of pure consciousness that is free of any fluctuations of
the mind and emotions. Actually, the word yoga simply means the union of the yoke. So,
the realization of this consciousness is meant to reinstate with nature for a higher
synthesis.

The Kundalini yoga and chakra system are both thought to have arisen within the Tantric
traditions around the second half of the first millennium, common era. In fact, the word
Tantra simply means tool (tra) used for stretching (tan). In order to visualize this, see it as
a loom in which nature’s fabric that is woven from the union of the opposites. However,
in the West, the concept of Tantra is seen primarily as a sexual tradition. In reality, sacred
sexuality only forms a small part of the broad weaving of philosophy. In addition to
sacred sex, Tantra also includes the practice of yoga, the worship of the Hindu deities as
well as the integration of the many Polaris forces in the universe.

The important early texts relating to chakras in the West is the translation that was done
by Englishman Arthur Avalon in the book “The Serpent Power” that was published in
1919. This was the translation of the Sat-Cakra-Nirupana, which was written by Indian
pundits back in 1577, and the Padaka-Pancaka (the work written in the 10th century).
This work contains the descriptions of the energy centers and the related practices.
Gorakshashatakam is the other 10th-century text that gives clear instructions and
directions for meditating on the chakras. All these texts form the basis of the modern
understanding of the chakra system and balancing as well as Kundalini yoga as we
understand it today.

All these traditions hold that there are seven basic chakras, all which exists in the subtle
body and overlies the physical body. With the help of modern physiology, it is clear that
the chakras correspond exactly to the seven main never ganglia emanating from the
spinal cord. Some ancient tests also make mention of minor chakras such as chakra that is
located above the 3rd eye, the Anandakanda lotus containing Celestial Wishing Tree or
Kalpataru of the Heart Chakra. In addition to this, some ancient texts also mention minor
sub-levels to the major chakras.
Chapter 2: The Importance of Chakras in Our Life
Chakra Balancing Techniques
The purpose of chakra balancing, otherwise known as chakra awakening, is to balance
energy in the body. Your energies exist and function much as your physical body does.
When one aspect is damaged or blocked, it can affect your emotional health as well.
Chakras are focal points for your energies, starting at your head and descending down
your spine.

Hands-on: A hands-on approach is a traditional approach to balancing chakras. It

requires a detailed understanding of how the chakras relate to one another, so it's often
recommended that you go to a professional.

Emotional Freedom Technique: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) involves tapping

key energy points on your body and reciting affirmations and resolutions.

Gemstones: Gemstones are often used to cleanse and activate chakras. You place
specific stones on each one of them and chant special mantras, known as seed sounds,

Meditation: Meditation is the simplest and one of the most effective methods. It involves
being in a relaxed physical state while focusing on a specific chakra. Balanced chakras
can enable you to connect more easily with goals that feel right for you on a deeply
emotional level.

Chakra Stones: Chakra stones are a specific system of chakra balancing. You place a
specific stone (each chakra has one) on one chakra, and you meditate.

These techniques are discussed in details in the next chapters of this book.

Who Need Chakra Balancing?

This chapter discussed the general signs and symptoms that may indicate that your chakra
energies are out of balance. However, there are specific signs and symptoms for each of
the 7 Chakras. These are discussed in chapter 3.

The higher consciousness, the vibrations, and the energies accelerate to release any
stagnation in your body (being). However, the releasing process can be gentle or intense
depending on the agenda of your soul and the degree to which you resist the process.

Distortion in Space and Time: If your material 3-D awareness is constantly shifting into
and out of different dimensions, it might be the sign that your Chakras need to be
balanced. The effect is characterized by spatial, temporal bodily disorientation. This
describes a situation where an individual loses track of space and time, i.e. inability to tell
where and when you are. Generally, this is a temporary phenomenon and only lasts until
you are able to adjust, integrate and also ground the new vibration energies.

Aches and Pains

Aches and pains are great signs that our energy flow is not balanced. It makes us aware of
our energy flow, and more importantly, where the energy is not flowing. This is a direct
feedback from the body trying to tell us what might be going on ‘in there.' The higher
consciousness, the vibrations as well as the energies tend to flow throughout the body.
However, as they move to the places in the body and mind where the blocks (old stuck
and stagnant energies) are held, it feels like pain and aches. This is felt in the form of
headaches and flu symptoms among others. This is just a sign that your physical body is
struggling to release the toxins and the negativity held inside. So, these symptoms are
actually normal. The pain and ache disappear once you are done with the healing work
and all the blocks are completely released.

Dreaming and Sleeping

The ‘dream time” is the time when most of your issues (the once accumulated over a
lifetime) are processed through the subconscious mind. These dreams are at times vivid,
sexual, violent, otherworldly, perverse, non-sensical, bizarre, nightmarish and at times
even alien. Actually, anything your mind can imagine, it can also dream it. The catch is
that your mind is only able to use the metaphors, images, and symbols that have been
programmed into its “computer bank.” Although such images may not necessarily follow
the past events, they are actually the best approximation of your mind’s interpretation of
them. It is not really important for your conscious ego mind to waste energy trying to
make sense of the details and the storyline of the events since it is just the result of the
processing of the energies behind them.

Sleeping is just one of many ways our conscious ego-mind copes when overwhelmed
emotionally or energetically. The same can be said of the higher consciousness. In the
process of healing, the energies and vibrations are experienced. These stir up many
unresolved issues; this results in fatigue and the feeling of lethargic. During this time, the
conscious ego mind (the part of your mind and energies that wants to energize and
rationalize) is put on hold to sleep. This allows you to process on the deeper levels of the
soul. This continues until your subconscious mind process to the point of saturation when
it can take no more. At this point, the ego-mind goes on hold, and the conscious mind
takes over as you wake up.

The Exaggerated Sensitivity

Any form of healing is associated with the tremendous amount of energy (both physical
and psychic). If in the process you are subjected to additional stimulation, it is like adding
fuel to the fire. It is, therefore, possible that you may experience exaggerated sensitivity
to your surroundings to the extent that you become intolerant or get overwhelmed by the
external stimulation of any kind. This could be music, random noise, the TV, traffic of
any kind, the light (bright or multicolored), smell, touch, texture, and jarring movements
among others. It is advisable to take a break whenever feeling “fed-up.” Consider
engaging in an activity that allows you to process your stuff in peace. Consider exercising
at the gym, taking a walk in the park or even leisurely drive. You can also consider
camping, touring a park or traveling for a holiday. Just consider something that works
best for you, even if it means staying in your room to sleep.

Relationship to Food

As the higher consciousness, the vibrations and the energies move through your cellular
biological and emotional system; there is the likelihood that issues related to your diet
may arise. This includes the cellular memories of the feasts and famines. You may find
yourself fixated on emotionally charged comfort foods, experience mood swings
characterized by unusual cravings and even loss of appetite. Actually, your body is just
trying to adjust and balance. It is important to avoid fighting it back or even judging. In
reality, processing of the higher energies is accomplished with a lot of nutritional support.
This results in changes manifested through the body emotions and the mind. This is why
you should be gentle with yourself.

So, if you are experiencing weight gain, it may be an indicator that you are still holding
on something which could be emotion, vibrational, energetic or mental. The healing steps
that you must continue with include healthy diet, exercising and drinking plenty of water.

The Worst Case Scenarios

It is possible that you find yourself in situations that you feared the most. This is
something you only thought was a nightmare. In this case, we refer to it as the worst case
scenario. Let’s say you are fired, and you have no alternative, with no savings in your
accounts, your car is repossessed, your spouse runs away with the kids, you lose your
home to auctioneers, someone you love gets a terminal disease, you are raped, there is
death in the family, or anything worse you can imagine happens.

None of the above scenarios is pretty. However, they are challenges that can face you,
and if they do, you have to deal with them. Whether you come out of it stronger or
weaker will depend on you. It is not something you wish to happen, but what is the way
out if it does? Well, I suggest you find a better way of dealing with the situation so that
you emerge stronger.

Abandoned Lost and Lonely

Have you ever had a strong feeling of not belonging somewhere? This is when you feel
isolated, alienated, estranged and maybe misunderstood. You may feel like you don’t fit
in your workplace, your home, community or culture. It can be even worse when you feel
like you are done with life. There is nothing else left for you to accomplish other than
death. This is when the thought of suicide creeps in.

You need to understand that your life is not an accident in any way. In fact, you are alive
for profound reasons. The completion of these reasons may take many years if not your
entire lifetime. So, when it appears like life is empty and bleak, find ways to remain
patient and hang on. Seek help from Chakra balancing. This is a temporary phase that
shifts the moment you go deeper with the help of Chakra balancing.

Feeling Dazed and Confused

This is a phase in life when you feel spaced out; it may be characterized by muddled and
confused speech, and difficulty in remembering things. You even feel like you are going
insane and may wonder if you have some serious mental illness. Actually, it is not what
you think. This spacey sensation is only an indicator that contrary to what you think, your
mind is actually opening up and expanding into new and much more liberated ways of
thinking, feeling and being. In fact, you are only starting to experience reality outside
what is known as the box of the 3rd dimension. This is actually a good thing, only that
you are not used to it.

Medically speaking, the speech and memory are all functions of the left hemisphere of
the brain. This hemisphere is also associated with worldly, horizontal and linear rational
thinking. However, the higher vibrational energies are likely to activate the right
hemisphere more. The right hemisphere is associated with the spiritual, vertical,
transcendent and irrational ‘feelings.' When creating a balance between the left
hemisphere and the right hemisphere, you are likely to experience some temporary
diversion or the shift of the energies. This shifts the attention from the dominant side of
the brain to a more dormant side. The memory and speech return to normal as soon as the
two sides are balanced.

What is happening to me? Is it the Healing Process?

The following are signs that the healing process is working in you. This section is to help
you deal with the process of healing and get the most out of it.

The Change in Preference or the Personality

This occurs when you start developing a distaste and dislike for things that are mundane
in life. This could be argumentative conversations or the conversations you consider
trivial, amusement activities including sports, some specific genre of music and movies,
old hobbies and interests, current job or profession, drinking alcohol, smoking, synthetic
medicines, meaningless sexual relationships, cultural or religious biases, political
activities, comfortable habits and familiar haunts and stereotypical attitudes and
behaviors among others. You may also discover that you have very little in common with
your family, friends, colleagues, partners, and acquaintances. When you experience these
changes, you need to know that they are signs that your current energies and vibrations
are not aligned with the old energies. Actually, your energies and vibrations are pushing
you to let go and simply move on. In fact, you are changing into a different person. The
change is taking place form the inside out.

The Animals and Children

The animals and children tend to have fewer filters and resistance compare to adults. As
such, they are a little more sensitive and responsive to the higher energies and vibrations
around them. So, when the healing is on you, you are likely to get more comfortable and
attractive to animals and children. This is because the healing energies running in your
body reminds them of their home.

When undergoing this healing work (or any other for that matter), there are few cases
when you need to be cautious and pay closer attention to people around you. This is the
case when you are in the process of processing and releasing out dense dark energies and
entities. In fact, it is wiser to spend that time alone. Having people around you, especially
if they are the empathic types with little sense of boundaries whether animals, children or
adults, are exposed to the risk of picking up some of the stuff you are releasing.

The Electronic Mumbo Jumbo

Any type of electronic equipment, this could be a computer, TV, phones, light bulb
(anything electronic) is likely to be jumbled up or even sorted out should they be within
your field of energy. This might be the case when particularly high vibrational
electromagnetic energy is channeling through. This can be really interesting if it happens
unless it happens to be the case that your laptop crashes in the process. You can rectify
the situation or simply avoid it by spending most of that time grounding your hands and
feet into the earth. Avoid being around impersonal electronics.

Synchronicity

This describes the situation where unexpected, unusual and unrelated events occur. For
example, you realize that some of your close friends are people you had nothing in
common with. You might also realize that the plans you made in the past are no longer
right and you have to make new choices.

Just understand that you are now (finally) breaking out the old patterns. You are
experiencing new ways of being, thinking and feeling. In fact, it is just a start.
The Healing Signals

We have been describing the signals that indicate that you are undergoing healing. The
following signals indicate that the higher energies are present.

✓ Buzzing ✓ Numbness and paralysis

✓ Clicking ✓ Heaviness or lightness
✓ Goosebumps ✓ Electric-like pulses
✓ Tingling sensations ✓ Movements
✓ Humming ✓ Vibrations

✓ Roaring ✓ Spinning among others

✓ Floral aromas
✓ Hair standing
✓ Surges of energies
✓ Feeling of contraction and
expansion
The Suggestions

Just allow everything to happen how it wants to, don’t interfere and try to judge or make
it happen the way you think it should. Trying to control only interferes with and blocks
the flow. It makes the healing process even longer.

Trying to resist is a wrong move, it uses up your life energy. This makes the healing
process even harder. You end up feeling more tired.

When the healing process starts, find space and time to be alone. If you must be with
anyone, let it be those who understand what is happening.

Avoid projecting energies to others or even blaming other people. Just understand and
accept that everything happing to is yours alone. It is your responsibility, and the healing
work is there to help you.

The Benefits of Chakra Meditation and Healing

Once you understand the chakras as a whole, these chakras start communicating and
working in alliance with one another to leave you with little or no energy problems. So
once the mental side of your body is strong, the physical, emotional and spiritual parts of
you are also equally strong to leave you feeling the best.
The problem is that today's fast life leaves most people without time to understand these
chakras as a whole. People tend to emphasize more on independent chakras, and this is
what leads to so many health, emotional and mental problems in people.

Once the chakra system is understood and balanced through various techniques and
meditation, you start feeling much better and in better control of yourself.

For more on this, please read the section on Chakra meditation and healing in Chapter 4
of this book.
Chapter 3: Awakening Your Seven Chakras
The Root Chakra
Are you struggling with your entire frame of mind, which seems to be spacey and
disorganized? Are you readily controlled by strong feelings of anger over simple things?
Do you feel your confidence and drive has been thrown out of the window, and you can't
focus on your goals anymore? Chances are you seriously need root chakra balancing to
restore back the lost confidence in place of fear, calm in place of anger, and drive in place
of pessimism. Chakras, especially the root chakra, are stunning yet somewhat
complicated. The base chakra is the ultimate foundation of another chakra, and if it's
unbalanced, then other chakras will follow suit.

How do you balance your base or root chakra? First and foremost, envision the red color
glowing at the end of your spinal cord, where this energy center is located. Starting with
simple meditation, you have to picture a bright red light at the base of your spinal Cord.
This is the ultimate beginning of cleansing and balancing your base chakra. Another
stunning way to balance this chakra is by dancing. If you are not a good and passionate
dancer, then this is the perfect opportunity to better your dancing skills and the physical
activity is an excellent way to release endorphins and collect feel-good energy. Better still
sing along to the music you are dancing to as this helps balance your throat chakra as
well.

Yoga is an incredible solution when you want to balance any chakra, even your base
chakra. There are quite a number of yoga postures that are ultimate for the root chakra's
cleansing and balancing. Some of these yoga poses, like the tree posture, go hand in hand
with the red visualization procedure. The tree pose is exceedingly helpful in balancing the
base chakra, particularly if you concentrate on this meditation and form the tree pose
single-handedly. Ensure you feel sufficiently connected to the earth when performing this
yoga pose, and don't forget to engage your core.

Surprisingly, taking a shower is an incredible base chakra cleaner. It is significant to love

and fully embrace your physical being by taking a shower. Bathing mindfully is a superb
form of meditation, particularly in your root chakra. After a satisfactory shower, a walk
outside can enhance the balancing of your base chakra. Taking a mindful walk while
concentrating deeply on every step you make will give this energy center a fantastic
chance to cleanse itself. Moreover, paying attention to every step you take gives your
mind a break from disruptive thoughts or issues that may be causing stress and allowing
your base chakra to balance.
As with all of the seven major chakras, imbalanced and blockages are various, and in
some circumstances, an individual may benefit from chakra balancing sessions with an
experienced energy healer. There are also professional Reiki Masters and even courses
available on virtual platforms to educate and provide free resources to those interested in
maintaining their chakras. In many cases, an imbalance or blockage of the root chakra
can spread or impact the function of other energy centers and gifted psychic advisors may
be able to assist in identifying underlying factors associated with the chakra system when
the individual suffering from the imbalance wouldn't have known the source of their
dysfunction otherwise, which often leads to a worsened condition.

Getting a heart-filling massage can be the perfect solution to balancing your base chakra.
Feeling good about your physical self can bring back the lost confidence and drive.
Exploring and realizing the beauty of our physical selves can help clear out the
incriminating feeling of anger and fear that causes insecurity and other feelings of
adversity caused by such variations of an imbalanced base chakra, hence balancing the
energy center altogether. Balancing the root chakra is just like building a strong
foundation for your house. Keep the root chakra balanced, and sure enough, you will
have a healthy, balanced, open chakra system.

The Sacral Chakra

The sacral chakra is primarily located in the lower abdomen, approximately two inches
below the navel system. Have you met an individual who for some reason radiates
warmth and friendliness with a tendency to be abnormally attached? Well, this is the
renowned sign of sacral chakra imbalance of excess. Other manifestations of such an
imbalance include timidity, hypersensitivity, sexuality issues, trust issues, and emotional
volatility. This energy center determines a person's emotional connectivity and relations
to other individuals. Undoubtedly, every individual will experience imbalance within the
sacral chakra at least once in their lifetime. Consequently, learning how to balance this is
quite beneficial in maintaining your emotional and mental health. Doing so can bring
tremendous improvement in overall wellbeing.

Balancing this energy center is like balancing other chakras; it resonates with a specific
color and sound. This chakra's relieving color is orange. Imagine a bright healing orange
color glowing on your entire lower abdomen, focusing utterly on your breath and
releasing any stresses. This helps significantly in balancing your sacral chakra,
eliminating any sort of tension or disease. The other balancing option is to dance to an
insane level like no one is watching. This has been proven as one of the easiest and best
balancing techniques. By dancing your hips off, you will be cleansing and balance this
energy center and gain from the physical exercise.
There is always some physical tension and emotional baggage in the hips that is why
there are numerous hip opening yoga poses. Focusing on some notable hip opening yoga
postures can help substantially in balancing this chakra as well. Although there are
numerous hip opening yoga postures, it is convenient to focus on a few postures,
practicing them on a daily basis until you utterly attain the desired sacral chakra balance.
This can take time and patience but will have a very rewarding outcome.

While hip opening yoga poses can do a terrific sacral chakra balancing job, toning up will
make the results even better. Keeping your body fit releases undesirable physical and
emotional tension, entirely cleansing up this energy center. Furthermore, reliable tone-up
exercises prepare the physical and emotional self for meditation. Balancing all the other
chakras is key in the balancing of the sacral chakra. Considering one chakra imbalance
often manifests imbalances in all other chakras-especially the sacral upon the thought due
to direct connection--it is imperative that individuals wishing to pursue a greater control
over their emotional and physical wellbeing take alignment into account. In meditation
sessions, try to relieve all the chakras of undesirable physical and mental tension.

Learning and trying to let go of emotional and mental baggage in your life is also
instrumental in balancing your sacral chakra. There are gifted psychics that can see into
your spiritual anatomy and help you with identifying problematic energy centers and
coaching on how to maintain and balance these centers. It is critical to let go of
undesirable tension and welcome new, enthralling things into your life. In life, there are
many emotional situations that we get intertwined in. If you are intertwined in any
emotional baggage, then it's time to relieve yourself of this tension. There with the
capability to identify problematic areas in terms of an imbalance in energy centers and
what other chakras may be affected by the imbalance and offer coaching or assistance in
chakra balancing sessions. Maintaining a balanced sacral chakra will open a new,
fantastic emotional world to you. Cleansing and balancing your sacral chakra will restore
the zest of life, renew your ultimate life goals and will help balance your overall
emotional self.

The Solar Plexus Chakra

The solar plexus chakra is what is widely referred to as your will chakra. It is tied to so
many traits we experience in our day-to-day life. Solar Plexus energy center is found
between the navel and the ribcage, is your third solar chakra. If your willpower and
intuition appear to be dwindling, then the problem is at the solar plexus chakra. An
imbalanced within the solar plexus chakra also manifests itself in poor digestion and utter
loss of self-drive to attain the desired goals in life; interference with current prospects and
endeavors. Your sense of personal power, your wisdom, your intuition and your overall
emotional health are all tied to this chakra, and an imbalance in this chakra can lead to
problems with your self-esteem and your digestion system.
How do you eliminate the imbalance in your solar plexus chakra? Well, there is quite an
extensive array of activities that balance this chakra including a yoga pose known as the
lord of fishes. This yoga pose is attained by kneeling down on a yoga blanket, resting
entirely on your heels. Thereafter, you have to slide your buttocks to the far right of your
feet, ensuring you rest on the ground. Then, you can twist your entire body by bringing
the left arm behind your back, allowing it to rest on the blanket. You will realize that
your right arm now rests on the outside of your left limb. Thereafter, you should hold
your arm up at an approximate angle of ninety degrees, all this while ensuring your back
is as straight as possible.

When you feel comfortable enough when in the lord of fishes pose, then you can turn
your left arm, slowly bringing your head and the entire body along. As you turn, make
sure you inhale and exhale at the normal intervals, releasing all stresses as you unwind.
You can repeat this pose using your right arm, and you can practice this pose as many
times as you deem fit. There is another renowned activity that balances this energy center.
First, you should place your hands right at the core of your stomach. As you touch the
core area, envision your stomach opening and visualize a yellow color on this chakra.

Utilize your brain to visualize the yellow color as a form of purification and energizer.
You can use your right hand to make three anticlockwise circles over the solar plexus
chakra, and remove the stress and any negative energy. You can repeat this relieving
activity until you feel this center is utterly balanced. In the end, however, remember to
close your stomach mentally. In any chakra balancing activity, it is effective to
incorporate some music, essences and resonating crystals. These will help with the
cleansing, unwinding and balancing of the third chakra.

Cleansing and balancing the solar plexus chakra requires uttermost grace and harmony
with oneself. Balancing this chakra can make an enormous difference in your emotional
healing, wisdom, digestive system, confidence, and most importantly in the process of
regaining self-esteem.

There are also colors, and sounds that resonate with each chakra and the color yellow is
associated with the solar plexus. There are many psychic advisors that are able to identify
imbalances and the actual areas of your life that the imbalance or blockage is impacting.
Once this is identified there are steps that can be taken on your own to improve the
situation. Considering the health of the solar plexus is imperative in areas of productivity,
severe cases of blockages can be resolved professionally under the care of esoteric
workers such as Reiki Masters and other energy healers with both chakra balancing
sessions and Reiki symbols. Some minor imbalance will only require a bit of guidance or
effort on your behalf to begin resolving the issues that you're having. Self-treatment
exercises are plentiful and accessing informational resources online has become more
accessible.
The Heart Chakra
The heart chakra might well be called the "social chakra" because it is primarily
concerned with human relationships. Through this chakra, you give and receive love. In
modern society, the concept of love tends to be reduced to romantic love with relatively
less emphasis on awareness of family, fraternal, community and universal love that
surround and support us throughout our lives. You can place both hands on the sternum
when giving Reiki to this chakra, or one hand on each side of the chest. Maintain a
respectful distance when healing women. I usually place a rose quartz on the heart chakra
throughout the duration of a healing session to nurture universal love.

• Location: Chest, heart

• Healing Color: Green (and pink)

• Element: Air

• Age of Development: 4 to 7 years

• Personal Rights: To love and be loved

• Related Physical Organs: Heart, lungs, thymus, breasts, arms

• Balanced Characteristics: Compassionate, loving, empathetic, peaceful, good

immunity

• Symptoms of Deficiency: Anti-social, withdrawn, cold, judgmental, intolerant,

depression

• Symptoms of Excess: Demanding, clinging, jealousy

• Emotional Traumas: Abandonment, loss, criticism, conditional love, betrayal

• Healing Practices: Breathing exercises (Pranayama), journaling, and forgiveness

practice

• Positive Affirmation: I am lovable and loving.

The heart Chakra out of balance.

If the heart Chakra is unbalanced or unaligned, we can then expect to feel emotionally
lost and lonely. We will feel needy, unable to stand-alone, depressed and resentful. We
will take on the belief that we cannot trust others or the universe. Physically we could
suffer from heart problems, high or low, blood pressure, asthma or allergies, breast
problems, bronchial problems and a low immune system. We most likely will develop
bad posture, due to closing down our heart Chakra.
With the heart chakra closed or unbalanced, life does not feel worth living, it is more like
survival, of course, it hurts, but we must learn that it is a life experience for us to grow,
closing the heart is to slowly die. Easily said I know.

So the heart in balance.

When the heart Chakra is in the balance and shining its glorious sun, then life is beautiful.
We will see the good in everything, be open to new experience, live in gratitude and
acceptance, understanding of life's experience teaching and expand us. We have clarity
and see our place clearly in the bigger scheme of things. We seek and follow our true
path. We feel peace and tranquility, no duality or inner struggle. We will expect nothing,
but give unconditionally and know that we will always be provided for.

In my own experience, my intense lifetime stress gradually decreased after studying

Reiki 2. After completing the course, I allowed myself to take a few days off of work,
which was very uncharacteristic of me. I also started scaling back the amount of work
that I assigned my students, much to their relief and scaled back my expectations of
myself. One afternoon, I gave myself Reiki and found myself crying and shaking,
eventually slipping into depression. After a little sleep, I awoke with the awareness that I
had a right to be happy and a right to be loved. These were very important realizations for
me to recognize. I saw that I no longer had to work so hard in a futile effort to get people
to love me more. I finally realized that I could be happy; I was warmly loved and didn't
need to be perfect! These were very empowering insights for me.

However, all that this does is block the flow of love itself (which is the good part of
relationships), the painful experiences tend to continue in different ways. Here are some
activities that can help you bring healing, balance, and peace to your heart chakra:

Journaling: write down the things/people that trigger love responses in you, take your
time, you may find that you have difficulty thinking of anything, so think of little things,
a bird or a flower. Spend time every day, thinking of and writing about the love that is
triggered.

Deep in the center of everyone's heart is a divine spark of light. Tune into your own light
and travel deep into it, feeling the love and peace there, then focus on someone else's
light and do the same.

Focus on the light of someone you love and then when you feel confident with the
experience, focus on someone you don't like. Feel their Inner Light rather than their
personality.

Meditate on your heart chakra. Tune into it and ask it questions, listening to what it needs
and wants to be healthy and whole.
Do daily energy treatments on yourself.

Find an Auric Technician to work with so they can work on your system shutting down
damage and cleaning up interference so that your Heart Chakra is functioning well.

Explore the ways in which you might have disconnected from love, life, people, the
world. Consider finding a good therapist or therapeutic group to work with any wounding
you may have uncovered.

Love is such a vital fuel for human life. Deepening your consciousness around your
relationship with love and the state of your heart chakra can truly shift you out of years of
blocked and painful patterns of behavior and thought. Love is a limitless resonance, and it
is only by becoming committed to expanding your consciousness in this area that you are
able to access much, much deeper and greater oceans of pure love.

Finally, the concept of personal rights made sense at the deepest level of my being. Prior
to that, somewhere in my heart, I believed that I had no right to be happy and I was never
good enough to deserve love. All of these insights related to self-acceptance, the basic
orientation of the heart chakra.

The Throat Chakra

The throat chakra is undeniably the communication center of the body, and as such, it
plays a significant role in creativity, effective communication and expression; which are
essential to productivity and harmonized relationships. An imbalanced throat chakra can
manifest concerns including talking too much, fear, and arrogance, being manipulative
and deceit. On the other hand, there are many benefits to this energy center being well-
balanced. Benefits include excellent communication and expression skills of oneself,
which don't have to be necessarily verbal. Artistic contentment and harmony are also
non-verbal benefits as well as a plethora of other positives.

Your ears and shoulders are somewhat connected to this energy center, and any
imbalance in this chakra can stir concrete problems in these areas. Not only will an
imbalance in this center cause the adverse reactions listed above, but it can also be as a
result of physical, emotional and mental issues. Having an infection in your throat also
results in an imbalance but is usually easily corrected without any extensive intervention.
Balancing this chakra is not at all complicated, anyone can do it! With some
straightforward activities, you can be able to balance your throat chakra, restoring
effective communication and desirable artistic expression in your life.

The ultimate and particularly renowned way to balance the throat chakra is by singing.
Even if you possess a less than intriguing voice, putting some favorite songs and singing
along will help cleanse and balance your throat chakra. Better still, you can dance to
those songs to balance your base chakra as well. Drinking water is such a simple way to
cleanse and balance your throat chakra. Extremely simple exercises and daily task
contribute to the overall balance such as; humming, drinking water, and singing are a few
simple, yet effective exercise. More importantly, you have to control what you ingest
from time to time as this helps balance this energy center and as with all chakras there are
foods that resonate specifically with each one.

An imbalanced throat can be a direct effect of the emotional baggage you store at your
hips. Consequently, next time you get on your yoga mat, try some deep hip opening poses.
While performing these poses, you should also pay attention to your throat, releasing any
stress. Often at times, chakras are stimulated by a specific color. The color blue resonates
with the throat chakra. Another balancing technique is to visualize a beautiful blue light
at the core of your throat. With the blue color envisioned in your throat, you can inhale
and exhale softly, each time trying to release the stress in your throat.

A good neck and shoulder massage can be instrumental in relieving your throat of any
stress, helping you to maintain balance. The throat balancing power of a wonderful neck
and shoulder massage is incomparable to any other. Speaking the ultimate truth at all
times ensures your throat chakra health. The truth is speaking mantra always balances the
throat chakra. Balancing the throat chakra is a heavenly practice to improve
communication with fellow human beings and with the higher divine energy. Balance
your throat chakra, and you will be utterly surprised at how better your communication
and non-verbal expression will become and how harmonious your relationships may
become.

There are psychic energy readers that are gifted in readings specifically designed to
identify any imbalance in any energy centers. This is helpful in knowing because of
chakra alignment and due to each chakra being interconnected to another. Any uncared
for chakra can lead to additional issues with other chakras and other aspects of your life.
There are also Reiki Masters and other energy healers that can assist in chakra balancing
and coaching.

The Third Eye Chakra

Have you ever been to a numerologist? If you have, then you may have asked yourself
any one of the following questions: how can this person know so much about me? How
can the predictions be so correct? Is this person a magician? The truth is that a correct
numerology reading only depends on an open third eye chakra.

According to numerous researchers, each number carries specific laws and energies
which are indicated by each person's birth date. These numbers, like each individual,
have various characteristics and outcomes that can help you to determine your success,
wealth, attitude, power and any other attribute. However, the main question is - how can
a person find out about his or her correct numbers and their outcomes. Before we start
digging for answers, let's establish that in order to proceed one needs to have a balanced
third eye chakra. The talent of numerology is not very hard to achieve. All you need to do
is open your intuitive chakra, and you can read your future just as well as a numerologist.

The Third Eye Chakra is about forgiveness and compassion and symbolizes a state of
enlightenment or the evocation of mental images that have a deep connection to your
divine source.

The Third Eye Chakra Is Associated With:

• Visions, clairvoyance, precognition, and out-of-body experiences.

• Ability to see auras.
• Being a "seer."
• Intuition.
• Balancing of masculine and feminine energies. The pituitary gland and the brain.
• The brain health, the eyes, the nose and sinuses, the face and the neurological system.
• Indigo children who are born with their Third Eye fully open.
• You can see non-visible phenomena through the corner of your eye because your
physical eyesight can overlap your inner vision.
• This center enables you to experience telepathy, astral travel, and past lives.

Age of Development

• You are born with your Third Eye open and can easily see other dimensions. That is why
it is common for young children to have invisible friends that they can see and no one
else can visualize.
• As you get older, this ability goes away, because you are influenced by the older
generation that insists that it's all in your imagination.
• Can be activated during the teens, get flashes of it (most don't open the door at this
point, but some do), but it is more common between the ages of 36 to 42. Whatever
happens during this time period will affect the health of your third eye.
• If there was trauma during this time, you probably have a blocked chakra.

A Healthy, Unblocked Third Eye Chakra

• You are able to see yourself as a spiritual being having a physical experience.
• You create your own reality using your imagination, and intuitional perspective.
• You have the high mental ability.
• You combine logic and emotion.
• Have good overall health, clear thinking, and focus... clear, sharp mind.
• Accomplish a great deal of work in a short period of time.
• You don't have a lot of mental chatter-fear-based thoughts and worries to cloud your
intuition and perceptions.
• You have a good memory and can visualize well.
• You can imagine something and have it manifest in the physical.
• You have the ability to see what is hidden.
• You develop your clairvoyant abilities, most often telepathy. We all have this natural
ability. Telepathy is the receiving of messages and thoughts from the collective
unconscious.

The Crown Chakra

Also known as the seventh Chakra, the Crown Center sits flat on the top of the head and
is the gateway to Spirit. It is a center where we realize the Divine Reality within our own
consciousness, the "I AM," and through which we receive inspiration, intuition, and
guidance.

Some people describe it as; "The "psychic center" for higher knowledge, it receives the
spiritual energies and guidance necessary to activate our purpose...

As eternal beings, our chakras contain information from prior lifetimes as well as this
lifetime. It is believed that the Crown chakra also holds all of the information contained
in the other chakras.

There are a couple types of energy that I often see impeding the seventh chakra; one has
to do with religious beliefs and rules the other has to do with worthiness. The religious
type of energy can have the information in it that we as humans cannot receive
information directly from God, that there has to be a middleman or that God did all his
talking to us thousands of years ago. Some of this energy can be quite harsh. The other
energy dealing with worthiness has to do with not understanding that we are divine
beings and guidance and inspiration from Source is our birthright.

Information is coming constantly, but unless we are aware and accepting of it, we won't
get it. How many times do we ask for help, get an answer and then either question it or
talk ourselves out of it completely? We don't believe we can have it. We think answers
come to people who are more spiritual or psychic, but the truth is that we are all psychic.
The word "psychic" is a Greek word, and it simply means "of the Soul." We are
connected because we exist; we don't have to meet any other criteria. We just have to
trust and expect guidance and inspiration. By the way, one of the definitions of
inspiration is; Divine guidance or influence exerted directly on the mind and soul of
humankind. - The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language

The Crown chakra is the seat of the highest frequency of energy vibration. In moving up
through the major chakra system, we have gone from the densest vibration of the color
red of the completely physical first or Root chakra to the highest vibration of violet in the
Spiritual seventh.
Chapter 4: The Chakra Meditation Techniques
Chakra Meditation and Healing
Meditation chakras use special points within the center of the body, which controls
certain areas. When used properly, this kind of meditation can be a powerful tool to heal
illness, diseases of the body, but also promotes overall wellbeing. For many however they
don't know the first thing about Chakras, or using them in meditation, so here are a few
essential guidelines to help you with this kind of meditation.

The first thing you really need to do is familiarize yourself with what Chakras are in
order to understand the power of this meditation. There are seven chakras that run up the
spine, from the base of the spine to the top of the head. The word chakra means wheel of
light, so if you could actually see them, they would be seven light wheels centered in the
middle of the body.

While the subject of what chakras are and what each wheel represents would take more
time that we have here, here are the basics. The first chakra is called Muladhara, the root
chakra, and it is found at the base of the spine, near the tailbone. This is represented by
the color red. It is the chakra that grounds us to mother Earth. This is the chakra that
helps us manifest things in the real world.

It is positioned just two in below the belly button and is represented by the color orange.
This is where creativity is located. This chakra is the emotional center of the body. The
third chakra is the Manipura chakra, the solar plexus. It is found just below the
breastbone, centered behind the stomach. This is where ego, passions, as well as anger,
are located. This is also where you are receptive to spiritual guides and psychic
development.

Essentially the different chakras represent different parts of your body, and just like the
physical parts of your body, they can become out of alignment. Concentration on one
thing over all else can focus energy more on one chakra than another, and basically throw
the others out of alignment. While these are a spiritual manifestation, they do have a lot
to do with controlling the physical world of your body. Too much energy in one chakra
can cause problems, some of which you may not even be aware of. For example, let's
take the root chakra, Muladhara. This is where you experience fears. A lot of energy is
used in the negative emotion, which can throw this chakra out of whack. This means that
you would have an excessive amount of fear, but this also depletes energy from the other
six. If you body's chakras are out of alignment, you can experience anything from
unknown anxieties, body aches, and pains, or even mental illness.

On the other hand, having an aligned chakra energy will give you a greater sense of well-
being, of being able to accomplish anything you set in front of you, and can help keep
physical illnesses away, because the mind, the spirit, and the body are attuned to one
another.

So by using chakras meditation, you have a powerful tool to help you keep centered, and
focused. It connects you to the heavens but also keeps you grounded. Using meditation
chakras to keep your whole being in tune, you can heal yourself physically, as well as
mentally. You can go online, or if you have a metaphysical store in your area, you can
find books, charts and more guidelines there.

How to Meditate

This is important to get the full benefits of your meditation. Remember as well that it
takes time to master these principles. Like with exercise continual practice produces
results. To become a master can take a very long time but I am sure you can immediately
feel the benefits, and they will only get better with more practice and concentration.

To begin, make sure you are very comfortable free of noise and distractions. Sit cross-
legged on the floor or with a pillow underneath you. If this is still not comfortable enough
you can lay down. Start with deep breathing concentrating and controlling your breath.
Then begin to focus your breath on the root Chakra. Breathe deep within the area of the
first Chakra and imagine the color of this Chakra as energy flowing through and
engulfing this part of your body. Concentrate and imagine all the attributes that it
embodies. Take your time. When you feel you are full of energy move on to the next one.
Repeat the process through all the Chakras. Keep yourself free of distractions and your
body completely relaxed. After you have gone through all of the energy centers, feel the
connection and alignment of all the Chakras within your entire body. Move slowly back
down from your crown to your base Chakra keeping the breath strong and deep. When
you finish slowly acknowledge your physical body and begin to move slowly and come
back to your physical embodiment. You should feel relaxed and refreshed.

Have you ever stopped to realize that you are what you think about?

When we fill our thoughts with negativity and messages that tell us we can't do
something or are undeserving, our minds and bodies follow, as well. It is in this way that
we influence the balance of our Chakras, either through direct thought or by the people
and messages we choose to subject ourselves to.

You see, your spiritual body is no different from your physical body. If you eat unhealthy
foods, you will eventually become overweight and possibly suffer from high blood
pressure, diabetes or a host of other ailments. When you think negatively, your aura
absorbs those thoughts much like your body absorbs the food that you put in it. Like your
physical body, your aura does not decipher between what is good or bad for it, it simply
takes what is available to it at the time and uses it which is why balancing the Chakras is
so important.

When we think negative thoughts or focus too much on one thing, such as focusing too
much on money and financial issues or relationships, we can cause the corresponding
Chakras to develop negatively in relation to the remaining Chakras. Our entire Chakra
system then becomes unbalanced, and the symptoms of that imbalance show up in our
lives, either as negative emotions, physical disease or difficulties in our relationships.

That being said, balancing the Chakras is the first step towards spiritual, mental,
emotional and physical healing. Meditation is one of the best ways to begin balancing the
Chakras and get the healing process started. But, before you do just any meditation or
decide to focus on one Chakra over another, it's important to make sure that all 7 Chakras
are balanced.

Achieving a sense of harmony and grounding is the best way to begin the healing process.
The following meditation can help bring your Chakras into harmony and open the
pathway to exploring a more involved and specific meditation practice.

Healing Meditation for Balancing the Chakras

Step 1: Make sure that you are sitting in a quiet place that has a pleasant or neutral energy
and where you feel safe. Wear comfortable clothing. You can sit cross-legged on the
floor or on a chair if your legs feel stiff.

Step 2: Close your eyes about 2/3 of the way and begin focusing on your breath. Breathe
in and out, making sure to take those breaths from deep within your diaphragm. Let your
muscles relax as you breathe.

Imagine it as a red, glowing light. It is spinning clockwise, pushing energy out and then
spinning counterclockwise, pulling the energy in.

Step 4: Do this with each Chakra, moving up the spine through the entire Chakra system.
As you imagine each Chakra as a spinning ball of light, remember to continue focusing
on your breath.

Step 5: Once you have done this exercise with all 7 Chakras remain at the Crown Chakra.
Imagine the Crown Chakra as pure white light enveloping your body. Continue this for
about 2-3 minutes and then return to the breath.

Step 6: Take a few deep breaths and slowly open your eyes. You should feel calm,
centered and relaxed.
This meditation on balancing the Chakras is a great way to start the day. Once you have
gotten this down, moving forward with a more tailored meditation or yoga practice is a
great way to continue developing your Chakras and aid in your spiritual development.

Crystal Healing for Chakras

The chakra energy healing process we will discuss today involves using gemstones.
Typically the gemstone will have the same color as the chakra it is meant to balance. This
technique can be done one chakra at a time or all seven chakras at once. This can be very
helpful if you know you have a certain chakra out of balance and want to work on that
one only.

First, begin with a good cleansing of the chakras. Take a stone like black obsidian for the
cleansing process. This stone is known to draw out the negative energy that can be lodged
in your chakras. Place the stone in your writing hand and move it over the chakra to be
cleansed in a counter-clockwise motion. As you are doing this imagine in your mind's eye
the negative energies coming out and being absorbed into the stone. You should start at
the root chakra and move up one by one. You may notice that certain chakras will need
more cleansing than others. After you think the chakras are cleansed it is time to move on
to placing the stones and the chakra energy healing. Assuming you are going to do the
chakra energy healing with all seven chakras, start by placing the corresponding
gemstone on that chakra. You should work from the root chakra up. It can be helpful to
have someone help place the gemstones on you. Some examples of the stones I use for
each corresponding chakra are as follows.

Chakra energy healing stones

✓ Root = red tigers eye
✓ Sacral = carnelian
✓ Solar plex = citrine
✓ Heart = jade
✓ Throat = turquoise

✓ Third eye = amethyst

✓ Crown = quartz crystal
You can use a quartz crystal for all the chakras when performing chakra energy healing.
If you do not feel comfortable with a certain gemstone, do not use it. There is usually a
reason for this, and it is best to trust your intuition. As each gemstone is placed on the
corresponding chakra, you want to feel the energy of the gemstone infusing your chakra
with positive energy. In chakra energy healing it helps to picture the energy pure, clear
and healthy. You also want to see the energy swirling into you in a clockwise direction.
Take your time with this and do not move on to the next chakra till you feel the current
chakra is healthy, strong and energized. As you move on, do not stop the energy flow
from the previous chakra, allow it to continue energizing that chakra. After the crown
chakra is completed, you want to lay there and picture the energy from all the gemstones
recharging your chakras till you feel it is complete.

Chakra energy healing can be done with the help another person if desired. It is best to
have a person you trust and feel a strong connection with. This is so there are not any
negative energies introduced while performing the chakra energy healing.

When you have completed the chakra energy healing, you should ground yourself. Sit
still for several minutes and adjust once again to your surroundings. Have a glass of water
and allow the chakra energy to stabilize. This chakra energy healing technique can be
done daily if you feel you need it. As you practice this, you will notice that your vitality
is increasing and you have a good overall sense of wellbeing.

Using the Stones for Meditation

Lie on your back, keeping arms at sides and legs uncrossed. Place the stones on the
appropriate chakras, beginning with the Root Chakra and ending with the Crown Chakra.
Keep these crystals on your body until your mind slows down. It's important to reach one
of the slower brainwave states so that your body is receptive to the healing process,
however, do not fall asleep. If you are one, who meditates regularly or has some
experience doing so, meditate with the stones on your chakras for at least 15 minutes. If
meditation is new to you, you may find that listening to a CD with guided meditation
makes it very easy for the novice.

When you have finished your meditation with the stones, be sure to cleanse your stones.
They will absorb unwanted energy and need to be cleaned.
Chapter 5: More on Chakra Healing
Reiki Flows into the Chakras
Reiki is complementary energy medicine. Its premise is that dis-ease is an imbalance of
energy. The imbalance is in the aura, meridians, and chakras of the body causing it to
become unhealthy. Reiki is the loving universal life force that surrounds everything and
everybody. Reiki practitioners channel it to flow through the seven chakras to help heal
any dis-ease that may be present.

I will explain what the chakras of the body are and the importance of each one. In
Sanskrit, 'chakra' means a spinning wheel of energy or vortex. Chakras act as energy
centers. They transform information between the spiritual, mental, emotional and
physical levels of the body. For instance, if there are emotional issues involving the heart
chakra, the issues can be transformed into heart disease by way of the heart chakra. On
the other hand, if there are feelings of forgiveness and unconditional love, the heart
chakra transforms that energy to a healthy heart and circulation.

Each chakra has a number, location, name, and color. Each is attached to an organ and
system and is associated with a gland or glands. An affirmation can be used for each to
help remedy issues of a particular chakra.

CHAKRAS number, name, location; color; organ/system; gland(s); issues; affirmation:

1st) Root or Base chakra-located near the tailbone; color is red; excretory systems and
spine; adrenal glands; issues are survival and grounding; affirmation "I have."

2nd) Sacral chakra-located just below the navel; color is orange; reproductive system;
glands are testes and ovaries; issues are sexuality and creativity; affirmation "I feel."

3rd) Solar Plexus chakra-located between the bottom or the rib cage and navel; color is
yellow; digestive system; gland is pancreas; the issue is personal power; affirmation "I
can"

4th) Heart chakra-located in the center of the chest; color is green; circulatory system;
thymus gland; the issue is love; affirmation "I love."

5th) Throat chakra-located at the base of the throat; color is blue; lungs and throat
(vocal); thyroid and parathyroid glands; the issue is communication; affirmation "I
speak."

6th) Third Eye chakra-located in the center of the forehead; color is indigo (purple);
lower brain, nervous system, ears, nose, eyes; pituitary gland; the issue is vision;
affirmation "I see."
7th) Crown chakra-located top of the head toward the back; color is violet; upper brain;
pineal gland; the issue is a connection to the spirit; affirmation "I know."

When giving a treatment, the Reiki practitioner will lay hands gently or hover hands a
few inches directly above each chakra to channel Reiki's healing universal energy into
each. Intuition guides his/her hands to chakras that need energy balancing for optimal
physical and mental health.

Major and Minor Chakras: What is the Difference?

So if you remember, there are 7 Major chakras in the body, and I say "major" because
there are a lot of "minor chakras" like the Temple chakras, elbow chakras, 4 Sinus
chakras, etc.

If you regularly clean out your Major chakras then usually the Minor chakras get
cleansed too as they are connected to the corresponding Major Chakras. But if you have a
severe Migraine for instance then you will have to work on the 4 Sinus minor chakras as
well as the 7 major ones too!

The chakras from the Crown right up to the Spleen are concerned with Spirituality and
are known as the "upper chakras." The chakras below that from the "navel to the "Sole"
are the "Lower chakras." These are primarily concerned with Material things.

The Chakras which get most congested are the SOLAR PLEXUS and the HEART. This
is because other people can connect to you through these chakras and give you negativity
and you feel a "bad vibe." Your Solar Plexus chakras get congested with lust, anger,
jealousy, greed, hatred, etc. and these are called BASE EMOTIONS. Your heart chakras
get congested with "Authorized and unauthorized heart Chords." People who want to do
you harm intentionally and unintentionally connect to you through your heart chakras and
you feel heavy in your chest, or you get a dull headache.

Before you sleep every night say the following sentence thrice "In the name of the Divine
I cut all my authorized and unauthorized chords now."

Just briefly I would like to tell you the Colors we use to "cleanse." The color "light
whitish green" is the color used for cleansing negative energy. This is the color of Grass,
and in Pranic healing, we believe that the more subtle the color, the stronger the effect
and also we believe that strong 'full" colors can cause damage to the fragile energy
system and energy points in the body. I, myself had a bad experience in my early days as
a healer when I went to another healer for a session, and she used "full strong colors like
RED and GOLD on me, and I ended up feeling worse and having migraines and stomach
upsets. I then sought my own MENTOR'S advice, and he told me that the colors HAVE
TO BE MIXED WITH WHITE and then used for healing.
Stay Strong and beautiful!
