Executive Summary
The Industrial Attachment program fulfills part of the requirements in pursuing the degree of
Masters of Business Administration in the Institute of Asian University of Bangladesh. This report
serves to summaries of the activities and experiences gained with Systech Digital Limited in
Marketing team as an intern.
I found myself rather lucky by getting the chance to work in such an environment that Systech
Digital Limited provides. I got introduced to some of the new terms like flat hierarchy, open and
paper free office. But the most amazing experience was to work in a friendly work environment.
During the intern period, I gained valuable knowledge about real time software. I had to do various
kinds of task like study, analysis and Sales and Marketing. For technical knowledge, I had studied
lots of technical issue such as Sales & Marketing concept, project Success and Sales & Marketing
Management.
As I joined in Sales & Marketing Team, I had to learn specific procedures and steps to Sales &
Marketing complete software product. I was assigned in a real life ongoing project. Working with
this project, I have achieved lots of learning about new technologies, Sales & marketing tactics etc.
Keeping the coding apart, there were also a few more challenges. Some of them were technical and
some were non-technical. Coming almost at the end of my internship, I discovered that, some of my
communicative and management skills have been improved to a great extent

The Project
3.1 Summary
Systech Digital Limited hired me as an Intern from 1st April 2018 of July, 2018 till 31st July, 2018, a
three month program in the Administration department of this IT firm. Systech Digital Limited. is
known to be one of the largest IT firms in Bangladesh. So, now that I have worked for three months
in this company I have gathered some knowledge about corporate world as well as Sales &
Marketing System & Procedure. Working in the Sales & Marketing department showed me how an
organization is maintained and keep things going in the right direction and achieving sales & sales
target goal. I have seen closely and been a part of various assignments of this department in order to
make sure employees get the proper environment to work make the business run successfully.
My supervisor has helped and guided me to learn things of an organization which made me excel
faster and understand the organization in quick time. I have also closely seen sales & marketing
work and assisted them at various times. Providing support service to the employees was one of the
main jobs I was assigned. Support services include providing employees with logistics, technical
support, Attendance Device requisition information, business card, stationeries, and providing
information on related matters. Sales & Marketing Departments tries hard to fulfill all queries and
demands of the Organizations.
To know the system and procedure of the sales & Marketing process
To know the overall practical idea & work of sales & marketing procedure.
29 | P a g e
3.3 Methodology
While doing the report I have gathered information from different sources. These information were
both from primary and secondary sources. Primary sources include information from my supervisor
and seniors of the department. Some of the information for this report I have gathered from my
internship experience while working for Systech Digital Liited. This report also consists of
secondary information which includes sources such as Systech Digital Limited website, Systech
Digital Limited Corporate Profile brochure, and other various internet sources.
3.4 Limitations
For this report the information that I have gathered was easy to get as I was closely observing the
whole system and its processes. But a major setback was that, as I was preparing and deciding what
my report should be on, I was informed from the sales & Marketing department that I have to select
topics for the report within the department I was working for. That is why I was bind with limited
topics within the Sales & Marketing department.
30 | P a g e
3.5 IT Sector In Bangladesh
3.5.1 Information Technology in Marketing
Information technology professionals with products and services to offer potential customers benefit
from using strategic marketing to reach their target market. A variety of resources are available to
these professionals to achieve their sales objectives. Trade shows, strategic advertising, informative
white papers and free product trials are all components of an effective marketing strategy.
Web-site development and e-commerce need to be in place as another arm of your channels of
distribution. The most effective web-sites are those that provide customers with a space to
communicate and share information among themselves and with your employees. These on-line
communities can be an extension of your market and market research.
3.5.3 Web-applications
It is becoming more important that sites are functional, interactive and not just informational. It
develop a range of practical, easy-to-use, distributed web-applications for managing on-line services,
from information sharing to member-based communities, to social-commerce platforms.
Technology is increasingly being integrated into marketing departments because if provides a way to
reach more target customers and get immediate results regarding the effectively of marketing efforts.
Two important technologies used by marketing department today are search engine optimization
(SEO) and social media.
SEO is a technology used for companies to obtain high ranking in the search engine result pages
(SERPs). Marketing departments employ SEO to get high ranking for terms their target customers
use to search for their products or services.
31 | P a g e
A company blog is set up to attract company prospects to information they are interested in. Another
SEO component is video creation and syndication. Google's purchase of YouTube attests to the
importance video is playing in Internet marketing. To increase search engine ranking videos are
placed on video portals such as YouTube with links placed to a company's website. SEO also
involves syndicating company content using a method called real simple syndication (RSS). RSS
places the content of a company's web site and update into an electronic stream of information to
which people can subscribe. As new information is published, web users receive immediate
notification. RSS information is read using software called feed readers.
With so many companies incorporating social networking into their promotional efforts, marketing
32 | P a g e
professionals need to be well versed in the use of popular social media technologies as tools for
attracting new business and building customer relationships. Marketers are often responsible for
setting up and managing Facebook pages and Twitter accounts for their companies, publishing video
content to YouTube, and establishing LinkedIn profiles for key company personnel.
3.7.3 Blogging:
Many marketing is involved in setting up and managing blogs for their companies.
33 | P a g e
3.7.9 Mobile Communications:
Active mobile communications are fairly new to the party. However that doesn't mean that this
technology is a weak link. Today's mobile marketing applications and "wrapper" technologies allow
companies to leverage communications in a focused and highly personal context. Systems like
Indianapolis-based Tetherball allow marketeers to package commercial messages, then make
information available to a global audience easily, and without irritating the user. The systems are
also able to offer an immediate response capability, binding a seller with a buyer in a spontaneous
manner.

3.10 Marketing Strategy on Political Unrest
Now political unrest heavily impact on any business. Though political unrest is present then
we have to work day to day effectively and efficiently in the market.
As a new organization firstly we have to cover the full market as soon as possible. Question
may arise how we will cover the market in this political unrest? I think to cover the full
market we have to work with planning. Our marketing department may work in two teams.
One team work for door to door and another team work for existing potential client. For
potential client we need to take a visit previous day over phone from the query list.
We can visit door to door in two ways in this political unrest like what part of Dhaka we live

Maintaining a high ranking in the most important search engines is a never ending struggle, as you

HR software can help companies to improve talent management systems, better manage employee
records, and optimize hiring practices. Many companies across all industries and geographical
locations have already made the leap into automating HR systems. For those that have not yet made
the leap, the following are several ways that HR software may be beneficial to your company.
One thing that HR systems are virtually guaranteed to do is save companies space. Eliminating or
minimizing paper records removes the need for extensive filing systems and large storage areas,
which can in turn save your company money on rent and utilities.
When records are kept in an automated system, it becomes much easier to organize and recall
needed information. The degree to which HR systems may help improve organization depends on
your company’s existing systems and the features of the software.
HR systems can make it possible for employers or managers to share information across an entire
organization with one click. If employee self-service options are in place, this information may be
accessed from anywhere at any time. This can eliminate inconsistencies when sharing information
regarding procedural changes and other company news.
37 | P a g e
3.11.4. Conquer geographical barriers
For companies that operate across the globe, an HR system can help employees and managers to
communicate from remote locations and attend conferences online. Depending on the industry, it
may be possible to communicate completely online and hire skilled employees without ever needing
to travel or have the employee relocate. HR software can also help to establish greater consistency in
systems and standards when there are numerous company locations across a large geographical area.
With the help of analytics and data reporting, managers can optimize decision making in many
areas. HR systems can help managers determine when and who to hire and what the best methods
will be for employee development. HR systems may also be able to help managers determine how to
increase productivity and improve systems, though this requires analysis skills as well as access to
information.
HR software makes HR professionals’ jobs much more efficient. HR personnel does not have to
spend time writing out and filing employee information and searching through files to answer
questions or make changes. With information easy to enter and available in one place, HR
professionals have more time to devote to endeavors that will truly benefit the organization.
Performance management can be altered from a once-a-year grueling review process to a daily or
weekly feedback session in which managers truly find out how an employee is progressing and use
the information to effectively develop the employee. HR systems make it easy to obtain performance
feedback from a variety of sources so that a more realistic and rounded view of the employee is
seen. With this information, managers can more effectively develop employees by giving specific
advice and suggesting training systems that will be of the greatest benefit.Payroll software offers lots
of different advantages – for the user, the employees and the company (of all sizes). This article

manage sick leave, absences and overtime. In a glance you can see how long employees are away
for, whether they should be at work, what type of leave they are currently on, how much leave they
are entitled to etc. It makes planning a lot easier.
You might have missed the latest tax updates, but payroll software will help you by notifying you
when these updates arrive.
3.11.12 Reminders
Different reminders help the user avoid important tasks and to get them up to speed when they sign
in to the software. This makes it easy for the user to keep on top of payslips and tax submissions.

3.11.15 Avoid Making Mistakes

5.0 Market Competition
There is about 1000 more software industry in Bangladesh. Now several international software
company also entry on the Bangladesh and providing their various solution in the difference
organization. So, there is a lot of completion within the industry. Now Peoples are very much
conscious about their business and IT based product. Some software development companies those
started in the same time with Systech are doing better as they dynamically changed their focus and
market. So these companies are a step ahead us.
From them some have a stable financial flow that can enable them for the strong presence in the
market. Some companies those started with some good product can do better but as they started a bit
late so, we have added advantage over them being an older company and reputation. Again we may
lose our market and goodwill if we fail to take the right decision right now for the future and market
competitors.

different things, but its primary purpose is to publish important HR metrics relatively quickly, at a
reasonably high level. It is a good way to gather information from the staff, sort it, analyze it, and
repackage it for the consumption of management and the executive teams of organizations. It is also
a good way to communicate with staff on a regular basis and keep the organization’s finger to the
proverbial pulse of the organization. Employers should ascertain what works well for their
organizations and what measurements they feel are critical and HR should summarize those metrics
and post them for all staff, especially the organization’s decision makers.

Internship Experience
62 | P a g e
6.1 Position, Duties & Responsibility
As an intern in Syestech Digital Limited, I was work there as a Assistant Manager (Sales) in their
business development & Sales & Marketing Department. In this team include seven sales and
marketing personnel. The first few weeks I had to observe the activities and also communicate
with the Business development manager, General Manager, and developments team. I had to keep
record of the some database inexcel file that they maintain for some of their sister concern business
unit. My task was to inform my superior about the day to day Sales update information about
Systech Digital Limited. In addition, I had to analyze the growth of those business and
comparing the sales report in every months and had report it to my seniors and Business
developments manager. I also had to accumulate the investment amount they made in those
business in one single file every day. Additionally I was tasked with preparing a few checks for
payment. I also helped them in preparing presentation and reports for their orientation program of
new employees.
6.2 Training
There was not professional training program for any one. They provide training through
observation or by doing anything one can get training. The head of Business development team
and Sales & Marketing Team was very co-operative. He gave me extensive trainings on
Microsoft excel as well as taught me to analyze big amounts of data through excel. I also learned
how to prepare the employee payroll. I learned how to communicate with the clients and how to
handle them.
63 | P a g e
6.4 Evaluation
I have contributed well enough in the activities of the organization although I feel that there were
more I could have given and learned. There was an internal tracking system in there system when
a employee check in and when check out from the organization. And my supervisor kept track of
time when I checked in the office and when I check out. Also, he gave me specific time to write
letters and prepare presentation topics to evaluate my performance and they give me task which
seems really challenging to me for their google business page review. My supervisor also kept
notice of my communication with other employees in the office as well as my fluency of
speaking. He also checked every day how I kept updates of anything new introduced in their
business development and sales & marketing departments and how I presented my findings about
those new things.
64 | P a g e
6.7 Application of Academic Knowledge
Not much similarities are found between the academic books we study & activities we do in the
organization. Since I learned about some ratio for calculating profit which I had to apply there to
calculate the profit of their two sister concern business & it seems me too much easy during my
academic studies but when I had to apply it as an organizational purpose them it’s seems me
tough. I learned about marketing managements which I was able to apply during my internship.
During my academic studies I was taught about preparing formal letters and its etiquettes which
also helped me during my internship and a part of our education is when we formally send an
email to communicate with our faculty we learned how to do it and I had to apply it there.
In my internship period, I achieved some nontechnical behavior along with professional behavior.
I would like to mention those behavior which is not only needed for maintaining professionalism
but also needed for leading a person‟s whole life.
I also made a SWOT analysis of myself before and after the internship. I want to reflect the
impact of internship in my study life.
6.8.2 Self-Assessment
I have enriched myself with lots of nontechnical skills. In this section I assess my achievement as
an intern.
6.8.3 Attitude
When I joined to Systech Digital Limited as an intern, I was afraid of new environment of Internship
Company where I will go to continue my Three months internship period. I was also much frightened
that how much my theoretical knowledge help me to cope with real life work. I was working on a real
life using up-to-date technology and as a fresher, I have no working experience about this type work
and technology, so it was hard and challenging for me to adapt with this technology background.
Although I was struggling first, I was very passionate to learn this new professional environment
and technology. In spite of the fact that it is constantly troublesome to learn new things yet I feel
that I was ready to match me up with these difficulties. Inchmeal my confidence level grows up
and my attitude reflects it. I have always tried to comprehend this new technologies and complete
work assigned to me. I have also done extra activities, share my ideas with my team in team
65 | P a g e
meeting and always tried to be contributed. After that, I have enhanced my positive attitude and
be a proactive individual in my team.
I am constantly earnest to take in the important tools and new technologies that were needed to
overcome the implementation challenges and complete the allot undertakings. As an intern, I have
learned countless number of new thing and new technologies which were begun a lots of
background study.
I got heaps of experience by working on my assigning works which were entirely unexpected for
me. Working on real life project I have learnt how to take sense just reading the requirements
specifications.
6.8.5 Dependability
Dependability is a valuable quality in the workplace. Usually, because of risk any anterior
software company do not want to involve their interns into their real life projects. But I was
assigned on a real life projects very from the beginning and day by day, they involved me into
core tasks of this project. It may reflect that I am quite dependable for them.
From the first day of my internship, I tried to show my dependability to my supervisor and all of
my team member. By showing my dependability, I try to make it easier to establish stronger
workplace relationships because my supervisors see me as a consistent performer.
6.8.6 Initiative
Initiative is one of the most vital characteristics for any employee. In Systech, everybody works
in a team and every team member has to maintain their responsibilities. There is also no culture to
push anybody to do their responsibilities. So, I have also had responsibilities and I have
maintained them. I have tried to do it with my 100% efforts. When I faced any problem I tried to
solve it myself and take the initiatives for it as my best. If I found any issue in any module, I
informed my team lead as early as I can. Sometimes I made a report about issues I found. I have
always tried to perfectly implement the delegated tasks. I also try to do something extra all the
time. I try to learn and grow by challenging myself. It gives me the knowledge and confidence to
show more initiative in upcoming tasks.
66 | P a g e
6.8.7 Quality and Quantity of Work
Quality of work defines product quality and product quality brings reputation for every company.
So quality of work is an important thing for every company and their employee. I was directly
involved in a real life project and always tried to give my best quality in this work. I have
followed best practices, standard documentation, structured coding development and formal
reporting according to everyday task list. I have always maintained project planning and project
timeline for completing my tasks properly. I always tried to maintain highest quality of work
throughout my internship at Systech Digital Limited. all assigned tasks in time. I have never cross
the time limit they gave for doing a task and admittedly, I completed every task using time as
short as possible.
Systech is like a family and every member of this family is very cooperate and friendly. At first I
was a little worried about my new company and its employees. But after sometime I was so much
surprised how much friendly they are. When I faced any problem, I frankly discussed it with my
colleagues. They also tried to help me as their best. Especially my team leader and other team
members always helped me and I have a close relationship with them. Gradually I became a
member of this family.
Whenever we were free we used to discuss each and everything of each other. In this company
every employee‟s birthday party used to be celebrated with birthday cake. My birthday also
celebrated with friendly and cheerfulness and it was really a memorable day for me. Sometimes, I
was going out for fresh air with my colleagues. In a word, all members of Systech are like friends
to me. It was really good feeling to work with experienced and talented persons.
6.8.9 Maturity-Poise
Working on a real time big project helped me quite maturity poise and confident. Involvement on
this giant project also taught me how to handle and cope up with big project, how to manage
everything easily, how to maintain project timeline and schedule. My maturity-poise also helped
67 | P a g e
my supervisor to easily involve me into project.
6.8.10 Judgment
Judgment is one of most impotent characteristics of any employee. It creates gradually rather than
suddenly. It is a quality that builds up gradually with gathering experience. It helps to take
appropriate decision at appropriate time which will be helpful for any company to maintain
commitments with clients.
I have tried my best to develop my skill on judgment. I have to take decision on how I implement
the logic, how can I improve performance, how I maintain Sales & Marketing work quality etc.
Sometimes I answered my superior‟s queries with my own judgment. These entire things helped
me a lot to grow judgment quality.
Punctuality not only refers to come office timely but also refers to deliver product in time. I
always delivered my task before schedule time. I have tried to best use my office time for my best
productivity. I hope that this punctuality and regularity will give me inspiration in my future life.
68 | P a g e
6.9.1 Presentation
First one month of my internship, my supervisor suggested me to learn about some new
technologies. Every day he asked what I learned and I presented my learning. In order to deliver a
nice presentation I had to practice more and more which eventually increased by presentation
skill to a great extent.
6.9.3 Listening
Listening may sometime appears to me sound boring but there is no alternative of becoming a
good listener to understand the product. The meetings that I have undertaken during my
internship were very much helpful in increasing my patience of listening to others. At the
beginning of my internship, it was frequently occurred that when my supervisor talked to me
something, before completing his speech I interfered there for presenting my speech. But now I
think, through my internship I am capable for enhancing my listening power.
6.9.4 Talking
Sometimes I needed to talk about my work. When I faced a problem, I went to my team leader to
talk about this problem. Firstly I was silent during my team meeting. But my team leader always
inspired me to talk about the discussion topic. Day by day, I tried to discuss in the meeting and
talked more with them. If I did not understand something, I continuously questioned them until
my confusion was not clear. It also improved my communication skills.
69 | P a g e
managed my schedule to complete all of those tasks
I think everyone needs the following skills for working with a team and I also gained those skills
by working with a team:
Openness
Trust and self-disclosure
Dependability
Patience
Support
Respect
I think passing a huge amount of time with other members through team work, I have improved
my quality of teamwork skill and I think it will help me in my later life. The following figure
demonstrates the teamwork:

RECOMMENDATIONS
&
CONCLUSION
72 | P a g e
7.1 Recommendation for Future
The three months of Internship was a time of experimentation. Internship in an intermediate period
of academic calendar is exceptional from the perspective of our country. From that point of view this
is a matter of glory that during internship I have passed the best academic period in my life by
experiencing the real world technology. It is a matter of grandeur that what I read yesterday at book
is now available to me. Moreover, gathering a vast knowledge about how the real world works can
help me to prepare myself for upcoming working life for me.
Systech Digital Limited is a leading software company in Bangladesh with their innovative and
reputed products. So it was a great opportunity for me to complete my internship period as an
effective member at development of Systech. Concerning the assigned project work I had, it was
interesting to implement something else that I was taught in my one year Masters program. It was
interesting to me in different points of views. It was real pleasure to work in office with corporate
culture.
Moreover, working in a team and friendly official environment made me learn different things. Even
though that was something new for me, I was able to change me with this. Different tools and
technologies, experienced human resources, large range of business domain, innovative products,
inspirational and motivating higher authority and friendly environment was the most significant
factors to learn professionalism, positive attitude, winning mentality, self-initiative, team strength
etc.
In a word, this internship was a great experience to me. And I hope that this experience will give me
inspiration and instruction to build up me better future.
Before going to Systech Digital Limited, I did not know what fortunate means to be. But I am well
aware of it now. In Systech, I got so overwhelming support from my colleagues that I can never
forget. For that, I would like to express my whole-hearted gratitude to Mohammad Shelim Miah sir
for believing in me and thinking me eligible for Systech Digital Limited. But everyone may not be
lucky like me. So I have a strong suggestion for them that it is you who has to cope with the office
environment and its culture.
73 | P a g e
I have another simple suggestion for my beloved younger brothers and sisters that one should
practice to submit everyday updates to his/her supervisor. This will help him/her a lot while
preparing this document and in the long run as well.
74 | P a g e

that I have got chance to work there in the department of Sales & Marketing. Among One year what
