I'm a white male, but I grew up in welfare/section 8 housing in a town that was about 60% black. I
was born into the system poverty and oppression, and I'm now 23 and just barely above water.
Because I was white I never had to deal with brutality from police, but being in the exact same
situation as many its VERY obvious that the poverty is systemic. Getting a job to get out of a bad
neighborhood can mean your benefits disapear over night along with an eviction notice.
I saw people I know get arrested and beat for things I KNOW they didn't do. No one I ever knew got
killed, but I know of some suicides. my entire life goal is to leave the us. This country is SICK,
making millions live at a low quality of life so those that managed to get ahead can have mansions
and such. What really makes me sick is how people who didn't experience poverty and oppression
legitimately believe we're the "only country with true freedom" We are the WORST first world country
IN THE WORLD in terms of living conditions, wages, food quality, workers rights, workers safety etc.
Then usually people bring up that americans can have guns, like the entire world doesn't have guns.
Sure, some countries don't let you have massive rifles and shotguns, but how is that a factor in your
everyday life? Hunting season doesn't exist in countries that don't have an overpopulation of species
to hunt..

know I’m just starting my life out but still. I don’t mind the protests but I st
