selves but for the nation.

School-Child Protection Committee -For me, it means that as educator we

are entrusted to develop these young ones to be responsible n our country
and to rule the nation in the future. In our school, we are aiming to produce
this kind of children by helping them in enhancing their innate potential so
that they can compete and be competitiv e globally.”

SDRRM Coordinator -The first paragraph of the DepEd’s vision means

that we, as Filipinos values not just our country and our culture but also
the potential of our learners. The country needs them and with the help of
the teachers and everyone in DepEd, success will be within reach. The
learner’s success is a contribution to the nation’s future.
(second paragraph of the DepEd Vision)
What does being ‘learner-centered’ and ‘continuously improving’ mean
for us?

Faculty President- Learner-centered and continuously improving means to

me learn in a child-friendly, safe, and motivating environment. As a
teacher, we should know the background history of their family so that we will
know how we are going to handle them.”
GPTA President -Learner-centered for me means we do not stop our
learners to learn for a better future and continue to impro and realize their
dreams.
Barangay Secretary Representative of the Barangay Captain)-We want to
develop learners who are true citizens and patriotic a n d who have a
strong desire to serve the country and work for its development. We
want them to know how to improve themselves and realize their dreams.
SPG President-Learner centered means education based on the child's
capacity, going deeper into our needs and understanding. “
School-Child Protection Committee Member- As a learner-centered
institution even though we are dealing with different individuals still we are
obliged to teach them equally, allowing each of them to learn despite their
differences. As a teacher we have also i m p r o v e d o u r s e l v e s to be
more effective and for us to render quality education to them.

SDRRM Coordinator-Learner-centered mean the learners’ growth and

development first. We make the learners realize their potential and allow

nurture every learner. We should ensure a supportive environment so that
effective learning will happen. We should act as role model models to them
as good examples
GPTA President -As a parent, I should help the school in developing it into a
child-friendly environment where our children stay safe. I should also
provide a strong link between other parents and as well as to the outside
community of the school so that we can have constant access t o
resources and assistance.

Barangay Secretary (Representative of the Barangay Captain)- The

do with all our children in a friendly way and motivating environment,
allowing them to engage and we have to support them in every challenge
they encounter to have effective learning.

the teachers are the second parents, and the community is the nearest
relative that we can have.
(DepEd Core values)
What values should we possess that support the core values? How
should we be (what should our thoughts and actions be) so we can
