State of the School Address

3RD & 4TH Quarter of SY2021-2022

SHIELA A. VALEROSO
Principal 1

A school is a complex institution. It is a place of learning. it is the site of the

working out of ideals or vision cherished on behalf of the next generation, but it also
a site in the physical sense, with buildings, plumbing, furniture, and grounds to be
tidied; it is a community in its own right, but also an entity created in service of the
family, the primary community.
My usual respect to the father of this community, Hon. Edwin C. Chavez and
the member of the Barangay Council; the SGC with Mrs. Lorenza P. Melchor as our
leader; The PTA spearheaded by Mr. Adolfo Badilles; we have the Capayangan ES
Teachers Association with Mrs. Arlyn B. Bomediano as the new president, of course
with due respect to our former president who did very well in her leadership, Mrs.
Judylen B. Palomar. The SPGO with Althea Mae Soberano as president. You are all
recognized and all other stakeholders present today, the religious sector, 4ps, Senior
Citizens, Purok Leaders, BPAT, BHW, BNS, SK and adolescence group and all
others. This SOSA would not be a success without your presence because it’s you
who have been a part of this report.
I would like to report our accomplishments, plans, and projects in the last two
quarters of the SY2021-2022. It has been a roller coaster ride for us since the new
normal school system was enforced by the Deped. We are all looking forward that
our learners may experience again the face-to-face class as parents are all hard up
in the home schooling system. It is so obvious that in the process of Limited F2F
validation of our school, the whole community has put up all efforts and resources in
order to achieve the required standard. We have passed the first wave of limited F2F
evaluation in the Division Level and we even surpassed the Regional F2F validation
with awe. Thus, we have proven that working together makes a job easier.

The conduct of distance learning and the grading system showed a

realization that in the actual classroom learning ‘one size does not fit all’. I am
recognizing the loyalty and contribution of my fellow workers in this institution; the
teaching force of Capayangan ES. You have been the steady and steadfast pillars of
this school. I know there would have been no perfect organization. There will always
be flaws in leadership as we are not all perfect. But all our shortcomings are
plastered by humility and determination to succeed. I am even more grateful to all
the stakeholders of Capayangan Elementary School who had helped the school in all
its endeavor. In particular, the General PTA President and the Sangguniang
Barangay and the parents in the realization of the Basic Education Learning
Continuity Plan. The pandemic does not hinder you to show your love and support to
the school. I will be announcing your donations and support to the school today so
others can hear the good news.

 The Municipal Local Government has given us materials amounting to 10,000

pesos as Brigada Support. Those materials were utilized in the connection of
water from our water tank to the classrooms and handwashing facilities
 An amount of Php18,000.00 was allocated to all schools from the SEF and
was released by the MLGU to provide for the school’s needs to prepare for
the limited F2F classes. From that amount we are able to purchase sets of
gloves, sprayers to be used during disinfection of classrooms and school
facilities, an electric fan, pillows, and floor mat to set up our school clinic, trash
cans, wall decors, and other materials needed in the school office in
preparation for the SBM Division Validation and other amount was paid for the
labor of frames and string stands. All the receipts were intact and in the
position of our DO Mrs. Judylen B. Palomar. Not a single cent of that amount
was spoiled.

Juliet Samoy Aburot also has given alcohol, facemasks and soap to be used

 The 1st quarter MOOE was downloaded on February 22, 2022 with the
amount of 71,012.00 intended to purchase supplies for learners and teachers
and liquidated on July 12, 2022
 The SBFP budget allocation was downloaded on May 30, 2022 amounting to
Php45,600.00 liquidation process is ongoing
 The 2nd Quarter MOOE was downloaded on June 20, 2022 amounting to
71,012.00 and the liquidation process is still on going.

The F2F expansion was implemented on April 25, 2022 for Grade 4-6 and the
school setup was all ready to cater 214 learners in our school. Mrs. Jessie D.
Soberano, our master teacher here in CES has neve stopped in capacitating our
teachers on the preparation of DLP and WHLP for the F2F and homeschooling. At
the start of a face-to-face class, we conducted an assessment on reading and the
result is not satisfying for us. It is expected that we will encounter problems
concerning the reading performance of our learners. Our teachers initiated the
conduct of remedial reading activities for groups of struggling pupils in every grade
level. You see how our teachers have worked out to achieve quality education in a
short period of three months. I know they are not satisfied for all the learning they
have learning so did the learners. You can see the big difference in modular and in
face-to-face leaning were teachers and pupils have active engagement in the
classroom.
June 26, 2022 is the schedule of the conduct of Year End Preparation for the
End of School Year 2021-2022 and in this school year we hit 100% promotion and
graduation in Kinder to Grade 6.
I am looking forward to more success by collaborating with our stakeholders
and expanding the network for support in improving the quality of leadership in our
school.

In closing, I would like to remind you of words and through our graduates,
made present to the world. They are the product of our vision. I am congratulating all
the graduates of SY2021-2022. Fly high. Soar like an eagle. Follow the wind. Be firm
yet focused on your dreams. Don’t stop until the day you will come back to your alma
mater and return the investment given to you. And to all our stakeholders, we must
be proud to see the product of our endeavor. This is our work; there is nothing more
important or timely. Nothing is impossible to us. Together we break barriers.
Thank you.
