Title AGLIPAY WEST DISTRICT MID-YEAR LEARNING &
DEVELOPMENT 2022
Rationale In line with the DepED battlecry, Sulong Edukalidad,
with four key result areas dubbed as KITE, we, in the Aglipay
West District need to respond for it. The 3rd Key Result Area of
the KITE which is on Teachers’ Upskilling and Reskilling is a
concern to develop our human resources to make our services
more effective and support our nation’s aspiration to deliver
quality education to our learners and achieve higher learning
outcomes.
The 15 schools in Aglipay West District has a total of
195 human resources composed of school heads, teachers and
employees. For almost two years, our human resources have
attended virtual trainings in international, national, regional and
division levels due to Covid-19 pandemic. Many challenges
have been faced by our human resources especially on teaching-
learning process because of the difficulties and problems caused
by the pandemic. Our school heads, teachers and employees
need to be refreshed on topics which could improve their
services to the school, learners, parents and other stakeholders.
In addition, we also need to assess our performance for the past
two quarters of SY 2021-2022 in order to have a baseline data
for a catch-up plan if necessary. In order to be updated and to
give our best especially in improving the performance of school
heads, teachers and employees, this district mid-year learning
and development activity is proposed.
Program/ Course The AWD Mid-Year Learning & Development 2022
Description is designed to reskill and upskill the school heads, teachers and
employees in the district to make them more capable in their
school and teaching-learning activities. Teachers as the
frontliners of education need to learn new skills so that they can
do their job well or do a different job. School heads need to
improve their skills in giving technical assistance to their
teachers through a more effective instructional supervision.
Our workforce really need a more advanced skills to close gaps
and help them advance along their current career path.
Moreover, assessment of what they have done is an important
endeavor for improvement of their school performance.
