The Heidelberg Profession of Faith

This is to attest that I, _____________________________________, a candidate for ministerial

credentials in the General Lutheran Church, Inc., understand and acknowledge that the primary
doctrine of this denomination is UNIVERSAL SALVATION, AKA UNIVERSAL RECONCILIATION, as
explicitly stated in The Heidelberg Profession of Faith, and that my signature on this document is my
affirmation that I am in full support of this denomination’s stated position of Universal Salvation as
outlined in the following declaration:

THE HEIDELBERG PROFESSION OF FAITH

Confession One
We confess that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments disclose the character of God and are
sufficient for faith and practice. - - John 4:24; 1 John 4:8; Matthew 4:4; 2 Timothy 3:16

Confession Two
We confess there is one God, whose essence is love evidenced in one Lord Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit
of Grace who will reconcile all of humanity to Himself. - - 1 Corinthians 8:6; John 12:32; Luke 3:6;
1 Corinthians 15:22; 1 Timothy 4:10

Confession Three
We confess belief in the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. - - Mark 22:14-20

Confession Four
We confess belief in the just retribution for sin. - - Colossians 3:25

Confession Five
We confess that being joyful is eternally linked with being holy and that all who profess faith in Christ
exemplify that devotion by engaging in works of righteousness and charity. - - Psalm 1:1-2; Psalm 106:3;
Matthew 5:16; Hebrews 13:16; James 1:27; James 2:26
