SIWAREX FTC in SIMATIC S7

This demo-software shows an example of project planning with the SIWAREX FTC in SIMATIC S7.

1 Installation

The project must first be decompressed under SIMATIC S7 V. 5.4 or later . The SIWAREX FTC module
should have already been installed in the hardware catalogue of the SIMATIC Manager. For utilising the
TP270 projecting, ProTool Version 6.0 SP3 or higher must be installed.

2 STEP7 Programme, Messaging

The STEP7 programme is very clearly constructed. The SIWAREX FTC standard program module with
standard parameter definitions is called in OB1. The address of the SIWAREX FTC module is at 256.
FB1 is then called (only one time even for more than one siwarex in the system) and generates the
messages through ALARM_S. This solution enables messages to be acknowledged automatically for
faults in the message system if they cannot be output to the message device. Preparing the messages is
performed with FC1 (for each scale one call).
Another way for messaging is the bit messaging system. Only FC 2 has to be called for each scale.
A support block FC30 is used for transferring commands to the SIWAREX FTC, in which the commands
having different priorities from different sources are prepared for transfer to the SIWA_FTC FB43.

3 TP270 - Operating and Observing

Projecting for TP270 enables operating of a scale by the operator. The scale is then put into operation
using SIWATOOL FTC.
Certain parameters can be changed by the operator using the TP270. Performing a readjustment is also
possible.
After loading the TP270, operation of a belt scale is possible immediately.
If you have not yet installed the SIWAREX_OCX_SECURE_DISPLAY,
the actual weight cannot be displayed as calibratable but rather only as an operational display.
The project for TP270 can be converted for other devices (e.g. MP370). The
SIWAREX_OCX_SECURE_DISPLAY must be projected again after the conversion.
