CASE STUDY: DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY OF AN INDIAN

SCHOOLBOY - DYSLEXIA

ABSTRACT

This paper presents a case study of a young boy with dyslexia. The focus of this

article is the condition of Naseer who has a learning difficulty; he particularly

struggles with reading and writing. As a form of intervention, the Universal Design

for Learning (UDL) framework is utilised in order to improve and optimise the ability

to teach and the capacity to learn. The three principles of UDL are discussed in this

paper, which are considered to be an effective tool in ensuring that all learners can

access and participate in meaningful and challenging learning opportunities.
