Afnizar : I live in Taman Apas Permai, Tawau.
Aqil : How long have you been in Sabah?
Afnizar : I wan born here so I was originally live here.
Aqil : What is your impression of people in Sabah?
Afnizar : I think they are nice especially to foreigners.
Aqil : What is your job?
Afnizar : No I’m not working yet, I am full time student.
Aqil : How mane state in Sabah have you visited?
Afnizar : oh I have visited Tawau, Lahad Datu, Semporna dan Kota Kinabalu for sure
Aqil : Do you know about tourism in Sabah?
Afnizar : Yeah I know a bit of tourism in Sabah.
Aqil : What is your favorite food in Sabah?
Afnizar : I like too eat ambuyat
Aqil : Do you usually travel alone or in group?
Afnizar : I usually travel with my family and friends.
Aqil : How much the expenses for you to travel around Sabah?
Afnizar : You can manage your own expenses to travel with your family.
Aqil : What do you think about tourism in Sabah?
Afnizar : tourism in Sabah they are popular especially for foreigners I see there a lot of people
came to see Sabah Culture.
Aqil : What do you like the most about Sabah?
Afnizar : I like their places because Sabah has many beautiful places to visit.
Aqil : Do you planing anywhere on your next vacation and where are you planning to go during
your free time?
Afnizar : I was planning go to Kudat because I heard there are many beautiful places to go
there.
Aqil : How long you have been planed to go on vacation during your free time?
Afnizar : if we planning to go to for a vacation I would suggest 2 weeks or more maybe.
Aqil : what is the food you enjoy the most or you would like to try?
Afnizar : I would like to try latok because I heard its famous right now.
Aqil : would you suggest to your family and friends to come visit Sabah?
Afnizar : yes of course I would suggest for sure

Afnizar : my favourite place of course my home town Tawau dan Kota kinabalu.

Afnizar : no I haven’t tried it yet

Nurin: Good morning, miss, may I know your name?

Atiqah : Good morning, my name is Atiqah.
Nurin: Where do you live from?
Atiqah: I am from Tawau.
Nurin: How long have you been in Sabah?
Atiqah: I have lived in Tawau, Sabah for 21 years.
Nurin: What is your impression about people in Sabah?
Atiqah: I think, people in Sabah are very nice. They are very friendly and they also live in
harmony despite of the different in culture and tradition.
Nurin: What is your job? 
Atiqah: Currently, I am pursuing a degree.
Nurin: How many states in Sabah have you visited?
Atiqah: So far, I've been to Lahad datu, Kota Belud, Kota Kinabalu, and Semporna.
Nurin: Do you know about tourism in Sabah?
Atiqah: Yes, I know about tourism in Sabah. This is because Sabah is known for its uniqueness
and I can see many foreign tourists coming to Sabah.
Nurin: What is your favourite food in Sabah?
Atiqah: My favourite food in Sabah is Hinava. Hinava is popular among the Kadazan Dusun
people. It made from sliced tenggiri mixed with chilli, lime, onions and ginger.
Nurin: Do you usually travel alone or in a group?
Atiqah: I've never tried to travel alone. I usually travel with my family and friends.
Nurin: How much the expenses to travel around the Sabah?
Atiqah: I think, the expenses will be under Rm500. This is because there are many cheap
places to visit in Sabah. There are also many cheap hotels and homestays with beautiful views.
Nurin: What do you think about tourism in Sabah?
Atiqah: I think the tourism industry in Sabah is very advanced because of its uniqueness.
Today, they are 10 foreign airlines coming to Kota Kinabalu from 16 international destinations.
Nurin: What do you like most about Sabah?
Atiqah: I like most about Sabah is because their seafood. The seafood is easy to find, fresh and
cheap to bought.
Nurin: If you are planning on going anywhere on your next vacation and where are you
planning to go during your free time?
Atiqah: I will go to Pom-pom island with my family and friends because Pom-pom Island is the
most famous dive destinations in Sabah.
Nurin: How long have you planned to go on vacation during your free time in Sabah?
Atiqah: I will take two weeks off for my free time because I want to explore all the islands in
Sabah.
Nurin: What is the food you enjoyed the most, or you would like to try?
Atiqah: The food I enjoyed the most is Latok. Latok can be eaten raw and can be eaten with
lime juice.
Nurin: Would you suggest to your family and friends to come to visit Sabah?
Atiqah: Of course, I would recommend my friends and family to come to Sabah because in
Sabah there are many places that beautiful and they can enjoy.
Nurin: What is your favourite place so far in Sabah?
Atiqah: My favourite place do far in Sabah is Kundasang because breathtaking view there.
Nurin: Have you ever taste traditional food from other nations?
Atiqah: I have never tried traditional food from other nations, but I also love to try it.
Nurin: Where place in Sabah that have you not visited yet?
Atiqah: I haven't visited most of the islands in the Semporna, such as Mabul island and Bohey
dulang.
Nurin: If you are given the opportunity to rate Sabah? How much rate will you give?
Atiqah: I will give 9/10. This is because I born and raised in Sabah. They also many beautiful
places you can visit here.

Respondent : In my opinion, people in Sabah is so beautiful and kind.

Respondent : I’m still studying

Respondent : I’ve been in Tawau, Kota Kinabalu, and Lahad Datu.

Respondent : I don’t know much about tourism because I didn’t travel a lot.

Respondent : Oh, of course Buras (traditional food of Bugis in Sabah)

Respondent : I usually travel in group with my family.
Interviewer : How much is the expenses for you to travel around Sabah?
Respondent : I usually spent around RM1,000 for my family.
Interviewer : What do you think about tourism in Sabah?
Respondent : I think tourism in Sabah is so convenient and interesting.
Interviewer : What do you like most about Sabah?
Respondent : I really like the culture and the view in here.
Interviewer : If you have free time, where will you go?
Respondent : I want go to all of the islands in Semporna.
Interviewer :How long have you plan to go vacation during free time in Sabah?
Respondent : Around one week, maybe.

Respondent : I will suggest because Sabah has a lot of food and the beautiful places.

Respondent : My favourite place is Desa Dairy Farm because the place is similar like New
Zealand.

Respondent : Yes, I haved taste Bakso.

Respondent : I haven’t go to Kota Belud, Sabah.

NAME: MOHD SAFFWAN BIN AJAT (BA19110075)

 As an individual, I have come to appreciate the importance of developing and coming up with
strong and good communication skills. This is because they would play an important role in
determining whether I would sustain, create or develop a relationship. One of my major
strengths lies in my ability to maintain a face to face conversation, through eye contacts.
 This is an important strength, mainly because I have the capability of gazing into the eyes of
an individual that I communicate with, and hence instilling a sense of confidence, and creating
some trusts. For efficient communication to occur, the parties to the communication must show
some elements of confidence, and trust, amongst one another. Eye contact is one of the major
methods that can be used to create a sense of confidence, amongst the parties to the
communication. It is important to explain that most people are always reluctant and unable to
maintain some eye contacts.

As a student, this is one of the important experiences to refine my communication skills with
the public. This is a new thing considering the fact that we were not able to meet the tourists
because of the covid-19 pandemic. However, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to
continue with this task by interviewing the local people. Based on this interview I learned a lot
of face-to-face communication skills and hoped to improve my communication skills in English.

NAME: NURIN JAZLINA BINTI RAHIM (BB19161069)

I was so happy when I did this interview. This is because, it was my first experience. However,
I was a little disappointed because not be able to interview real travelers during this interview
due to COVID 19 but I am still excited to do my assessment. During the interview session, I
learned a few things. With hurdles came hidden strengths I discovered about myself. For
example, I was able to overcome my embarrassment when dealing with the respondents and
talking in front of the camera. I also learned a little bit about techniques for interviewing
respondents. I have learned things, and I love constantly adding to my random knowledge
database. Lastly, I had a lot of fun as I was able to spend time with my team members while
doing this assignment.

NAME: SITI ROSINA (BB19161107)

As an individual it is important for someone to have good communication with others

especially in verbal communication. Therefore, through this interview project I was able to learn
many things related to communication such as face-to-face communication using appropriate
language adjustment to make it easier for my respondents to understand what I was trying to
convey and ask using simple, concise, clear and organized language. Also, doing this interview
project can improve my communication and confidence when talking to someone in English.
