Dangerous Minds (1995)

Cast: Michelle Pfeiffer, George Dzundza, Courtney B. Vance, Renoly Santiago, Wade

Dominguez

Director: John N. Smith

"Dangerous Minds" is a child gloves treatment of the issues in urban state funded schools.

Giving no social setting to the issues it might want to defy and basically no life for its

characters outside the study hall, this sincere, sweet-natured persuasive dramatization nearly

appears to be something from another, progressively guiltless time. The writer of this movie is

Ronald Bass, and the producers are Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson. Dangerous minds

is drama, thriller, teen, and crime fiction.

II.

Dangerous minds is based on a autobiographical 1992 book called My pose don’t do

homework by US Marine-turned-teacher LouAnne Johnson, who is now in her 60s and still

teaching. She by then recalls the project and ask the director to make a movie and ask who’s

gonna play her they suggested bette midler but in the end they chose michelle pfeiffer because

she by then read the story.

III.

LouAnne Johnson is an ex-marine who applies for a teaching job to Palo Alto High School .

What she gets rather is a full-time position instructing English to a gathering of splendid

however socially tested understudies that she rapidly names as the "rejects from damnation.

When her first-day closet decision and accommodating mentality gain her the epithet of

White Bread, she attempts an extreme methodology: wear a calfskin coat, revile as capably as

the children, and show karate as a lead-in to English Lit. It works, and the understudies begin

to come around. In spite of protestations from a tense, by-the-book head Courtney, lives are

changed because of Louanne's unconventional methodology of utilizing Bob Dylan verses to

instruct verse and remunerating finished assignments with outings to event congregations and

meals at extravagant cafes.

V.

Instead of pushing students to take responsibility on their education it just created an invironment

in which they are allowed and encouraged to just accept ignorance.

Some of the students nowadays leave school because they had job and makes money easily or

when they know more about drugs gangs or gets pregnant. Its kinda sad because it’s the reality

wherein education is not that important to some kids because of how hard life is.

VI.

I recommend this movie to an older crowd and also to students and teachers because it will be

very relatable to them if they watch it.
