Reflective Title : HAND HYGIENE

Description : Performing Hand Hygiene in Male Treatment Room

Feelings : Hand Hygiene is the simplest and most effective way to prevent the
spread of infections. I feel as a nurse it is important to always do hand washing before carrying
out doctor’s order. For instance, the order is dressing. After identification of patient is made and
checking of doctor’s order, I will start by washing my hands before the dressing and after the
procedure. By doing this, I will be able to lessen the transfer of infections to the patient.

Evaluation : Direct observation as displayed by other staff doing the hand hygiene.
