GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED BY THE PAPER SETTER

Guideline1: Two questions from each Unit with internal choice are to be set.
Each question may have a) and b) only and see that the answering of each question by an
Average student should not exceed 30 minutes.

Guideline 2 : Provide the scheme of evaluation for each sub Questions( a &b)also.

Guideline 3: paper setters are requested to include atleast 6 numerical problems , if the course
demands.

Guideline 4: paper setters are requested to“not to produce Questions either from guides / study material”

Guideline 5: The Questions are to be planned in such a way that a candidate of decided ability with good
preparation can reasonably be expected to answer the required number of Questions within
the time allotted.

Guideline 6: All the faculty members are requested to prepare the question paper with “TIMES NEW
ROMAN “ font with size 12.

Guideline 7: The paper setter has to follow the “Blooms Taxonomy” as well as Action words related to
critical thinking.

Guideline 8: Mention the corresponding Course Outcome (CO) number as per the syllabi against each
question.
Guideline9: Care should be taken to ensure that there will be no missing data in any question in such a
way that the candidate need not assume missed data.

Question Papers not confirming to the above format shall not be accepted for consideration in the E&
section.

All the HOD’s are requested to direct the faculty members under their control to ensure that the
Model question papers/Question papers shall be prepared as per the template given by the Examination and
Evaluation Section.
