Adult Literacy Programmes

Adult literacy programmes are meant for illiterate adults, and


are primarily limited to training in basic skills of Reading,
Writing and Numeracy. These programmes also promote
personal development at the individual level, as well as
bringing about empowerment and social change.

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (reporting


name: HEC), is an independent, autonomous, and
constitutionally established institution of primary funding,
overseeing, regulating, and accrediting the higher education
efforts in Pakistan.
