Bridge Team Management Training
Weakness in bridge organisation and management has been
cited as a major cause for marine casualties worldwide. Frequently,
accidents in operations are caused by resource management errors.
Bridge Team Management reduces the risk of marine casualties by
helping a ship’s bridge crew anticipate and correctly respond to
their ship’s changing situation. The simulator is designed to ensure
AIS and SSAS Training this kind of training in compliance with international standards.
Since the attacks in the USA in 2001, the approach to the is-
sues of transport security worldwide has changed, including
that
to maritime transport. This has been acknowledged nationally
and internationally and has prompted both new develop-
ment and the improvement of existing security regimes across the
transport systems.
These requirements took the form of amendments to the Con-
vention on the Safety of Life at Sea 1974 (SOLAS) and an Inter-
national Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code).
Navi-Trainer Professional provides the ability to conduct AIS and
SSAS training compliant with the ISPS Code and other interna-
tional standards.
Ais Training
As per the requirements of the SOLAS Convention, all
ships of 300 gross tonnage and upwards must be fit-
ted out with AIS equipment. By the End of the Courses the Trainees Will Be Able to:

Aсcording to the requirements of the SOLAS Convention, all
ships of 500 gross tonnage and upwards must be fitted out with
AIS equipment not later than 30 June 2006. Thus, SSAS training is
intended for improving safety and efficiency of navigation in the
open sea and coastal waters through the automatic exchange
of navigational, statistic and voyage information between the
ships and coastal stations.

Simulation Training Integration Concept
In order to provide full-blown crew resource management training, Transas has devel-
oped and implemented an up-to-date simulation training integration concept. Bridge
operation, GMDSS, engine room, vessel traffic management and information system, oil
spill and crisis management, liquid cargo handling, crude oil terminal and flight simula-
tors can form one large training complex.
Each simulator shares a common interface for its configuration software, which is the
