I am always happy when a friend captures a wonderful moment in my life. For

instance, one of my friends who actually studies photography, took an amazing
snapshot of me on my birthday, a few years ago. I'd like to tell you all about it.

At the time, I was in college and wasn't able to go home for the special day. I was
feeling a little down in the dumps, which my college friends picked up on. So, they
decided to throw me a birthday party to lift my spirits. I was blown away by their effort
and had the time of my life at the party. It was at this special event that my friend took
an amazing picture of me having the time of my life.

This picture means the world to me because you can see all of my friends present in the
background. It was actually taken right at the moment when I was going to blow
out my candles. However, you can see that one of my friends snuck in to wipe cream on
my face. I was laughing my head off, as were all of my friends. Truly, my friend had the
best timing around, which makes this image priceless.

My boyfriend is friends with a guy who is dating the senior manager of Chanel. When
I met her for the first time, I couldn't believe how talented she is at her job. I have even
asked her advice for my own career.

I have to admit, I was a bit intimidated when I met the woman, because she is the
manager of cosmetics at one of the most famous brands in the world. She has a lot of
self-discipline though, which helps her to stay on track and push herself to new heights.
She is also very efficient and is dedicated to studying hard, so she can continuously
make innovations.

Since she has been such a success, I like to talk to her about my own career. She is
chock- full of helpful advice too. For instance, she told me to accumulate a lot of
experience at the beginning of my career and to pay attention to everything that I
learn. She also suggested that I work as much overtime as I can, to make myself look
good at the company I am working for. I have actually utilized some of this advice and
have found it to be very helpful.

Not long ago, while I was at a gathering for the student union, I met a college classmate
who truly fascinated me. He has started his ovvn little business as a part-time fashion buyer,
which allows him to travel quite a bit. if you don't mind, l'd like to elaborate a bit more.
The two of us actually just happened upon one another while we were grabbing a snack at
the gathering. Since we hadn't previously met, we struck up a conversation to get to know
one another. I was actually pretty impressed with him though because he told me all about
a business that he started. In short, the business allowed him to purchase clothing for
his friends and classmates while he was traveling. In return, they would provide him with
extra money for his troubles. It seemed like a lot of fun to me.

I thought the idea of his company was pretty genius. All he does is shop when he travels,
which allows him to earn some money. Of course, this little business allows him to travel
more often, which is wonderful. Now, he goes to Europe a few times a year to pick up
luxury items for his customers. He gets to have a blast while on the job too, which is
pretty amazing.

When I started college, I wanted to bring my roommate a little something special as

an introductory gift. It took me quite some time to figure out what I wanted to
purchase though. Finally, it dawned on me that 1 should buy some sausages from my
hometown.

My hometown has a bit of a unique history, which is something I wanted to share with
my roommate. I am from Harbin. In case you didn't know, Harbin was actually
built by Russians, many years ago. Along with their arcbitecture and some of their
culture, they also brought a lot of their food. So, you can find all sorts of Russian food,
like sausage, while you're shopping or visiting food vendors. Thus, I thought this
delicious dish would be the perfect gift for my roommate.

I picked the sausage, because my hometown is the only place vvhere you can
actually get authentic Russian sausage in China. Other cities might have sausage they
claim is Russian, but Harbin sausage is a real treat, because it gives you a taste of
another culture. When my roommate tasted the sausage I brought her, she was thrilled.
She even asked me to bring her more when I returned to my hometown during winter
break.

During my sophomore year, I had the pleasure of winning a scholarship. I decided that
I wanted to invite my parents out for an expensive meal in order to celebrate. I chose a
wonderful seafood restaurant near our home to pig out at.

My parents and I had wanted to eat at the restaurant for quite some time, but it is very
expensive. So, when I had a little extra money to play around with, I decided to book
us reservations. I even asked for a private room and paid to have the staff decorate it for
the celebration. When we arrived, my parents were in awe. We ordered lots of dishes
like lobster and shrimp. I could see, as they ate and chatted, that they were immensely
proud of me.,

This experience will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only was it nice to
treat my parents to an amazing meal, but it also felt great to see their pride in me. Plus,
getting this scholarship was the first time I had earned money on my own. So, it felt
great to see how my hard work paid off. It also inspired me to work harder in the future.

and explain how you felt about it.

I would like to share with you a moment in which I had to hold my tongue while
speaking with someone. It all happened when I was at a special dinner hosted by the
student union. At the time, I was talking to the chief of another sector and I found
myself feeling bored stiff.

At the time, I ended up being seated next to a guy who was actually very chatty. As we
ate, he spent most of the meal telling me about himself. He shared that his family is
very rich and the clothes that he was wearing were quite expensive. He even told me
all about his house, which is apparently very big. After about an hour of listening to
him brag, I couldn't help but feel pretty bored.
I didn't want to be rude and tell the guy that he was boring me stiff, even though he
was bragging. I figured it was important to maintain a superficial friendship, since
the two of us are both members of the student union. Plus, I didn't want to tell him
that I didn't care about his family nor their money, because that comes off rather rude.
Most importantly, I didn't want to embarrass him. So, I just nodded and smiled while
he chewed the fat.

When I was 9 years old, my family purchased me a board game called Monopoly. This
game immediately became my favorite toy and I enjoyed every second that I played
with it. I'm excited to tell you more about the toy.

Although I really liked to play all games, including checkers and dice, Monopoly really
struck a chord with me. Monopoly was a great teacher to me. It was actually the first
experience that I ever had with money, which made me feel like I was grown up.
While playing Monopoly, I felt like a boss, which was exciting for me. It showed me the
ropes when it came to saving money, and making financial
decisions. I was naturally gifted at the game too, which made me feel like a million
bucks.

I am glad that my parents purchased this game for me, because it was not only
entertaining, but it helped me in many facets of life. For instance, it helped to
develop my intelligence. Playing the game allowed me to refine my playing skills, too.
This has helped me to become a better team player. I feel that playing this game so
often helped me to have a better future, which makes me incredibly thankful that
my parents bought it for me.

and explain how you felt about watching the sky.

Last winter, I was thrilled to be able to travel to Iceland. While I was there, I couldn't
believe how beautiful and colorful the scenery was. Truly, this landscape had one of
the best skies that I've ever set eyes on.
You wouldn't think that Iceland was covered in beautiful green foliage based on its name,
but it truly is. Of course, since we visited in the winter months, there was a lot of crisp
white snow to admire too. While we were out one night, we got to witness the aurora
though. This is a natural phenomenon that creates very colorful lights in the sky. There
are greens, reds, and more, which is quite incredible.

You know, witnessing such an event left me mesmerized. It was as if I was in a fairy
tale, which blew me away. The sky grew very dark while we watched the aurora. So,
we could still see lots of stars that took our breath away. The lights looked like a
long, colored ribbon in the sky though, which truly took my breath away. I wish I could
have snapped a few photos of the event, because it was truly incredible. I hope to one
day to be able to witness its beauty again.

Last summer, my school opened up a new café bookstore. Ever since I heard about the
new facility, I can't get enough of it. It has become one of my favorite places to read
and study.

This new café is actually conveniently located. It is right next to the teaching
building, so I can always stop by to grab a cup of coffee before heading to my next
class. It is a great place for students to kick back and relax between classes too,
which is very important. Whenever I visit, I usually grab a sweet snack, some
comm, and then find a comfortable table. Then, I get to work reviewing my notes or
reading something to improve my grades.

This café has definitely improved my life quite a bit. I love hanging out there
because the environment is always food. I love walking into the building because there
is always a very sweet and delicious aroma in the air. On top of that, the coffee is
cheap\, so I don't have to worry about blowing my budget. Of course, the shop keeper
is very friendly and occasionally gives me free drinks, since I spend so much time there.
I know, life would not be as good without this facility.

Last week, when I went to my painting class, I found myself in quite a pickle. I
misplaced all of my painting tools, which were mandatory to have for class.
Luckily, one of my classmates in the painting class was able to lend a helping hand.

That day, I ended up taking a taxi to get to my class. I was in a bit of a hurry, so when
the taxi arrived on campus, I rushed out so I could get to class on time. However, in
my rush, I ended up forgetting my drawing tools in the back seat of the cab. I didn't
notice until I got to class and had nothing to work with. Fortunately, my
classmate offered me a paintbrush, as well as some paints to work with.

I lucked out because I did book my taxi via an app. So, I was able to get on the app
and look up the driver's phone number. I quickly got in touch with him and
explained exactly what had happened. The man was kind enough to drive back to
campus so that he could return the supplies to me. This took a huge burden off of my
shoulders, but it also taught me that I need to be more careful with my belongings.
Describe a school you attended when you were a child.
You should say:

where it was;
how long you studied there;
who was your favourite teacher there;
and explain how you left about studying there.

From the ages of nine to eleven, I attended a school called Jiangyan Primary School.
This school was located in a rich part of the downtown area. It truly made a mark on my
life too, which is why I'd like to tell you more about it.

This school was designed to offer the best possible education for students. The school
paid special attention to academics as well as physical fitness, which is something
that I enjoyed about the class. Apart from the classic courses, the school offered a lot of
extracurricular activities too. The school a1so'encouraged students to participate in
the volunteer activities they provided.

This school was extraordinary, in my opinion. Unlike ordinary Chinese schools, this
one was designed as more laid back. For instance, grades didn't represent a student,
which took a huge burden off of our shoulders. We also didn't have to feel out of place
with our teachers. In fact, we were able to treat teachers like friends. I used to love
hanging out with my art teacher, because she was filled with great stories and tips
about art. I feel like the relationships I created in this school and the things I learned,
helped to set me up for success later on down the line.
Describe a film you would like to share with your friends.
You should say:

what film it is:

when and where you watched it;
what the film was about;

Some time ago, I watched a film called The Pursuit of Happiness. Ever since I
watched it, I have wanted to share it with my pessimistic roommate who doesn't have
any motivation. Please, let me tell you a bit more about this film.

The movie is all about a single father who is down on his luck. He and his son are
homeless, and he has to do everything he can to keep his child safe and happy. At one
point, the two end up living in a public toilet, but he works his hardest to keep his child
hopeful. He insists on working in sales in order to keep the two going. He also spends
time op his education, so that he can land a high paying job that will help him, and his
son live the life he knows they deserve.

I think this movie is great, because it has a positive message. I know, it would truly benefit
my roommate too, because it tells the audience that they shouldn't give up no matter
how bad things get. I hope, the movie will help her to become less of a pessimist and
more of an optimist in the future.

At the end of one of my semesters in college, I found myself feeling exhausted. At the
time, one of my teacher's assigned a big project that was due very quickly. So, I had to
bum the midnight oil to complete it, which left me exhausted.

This was actually a group project, but the members in my group were a bunch of dead
weight. Whenever I would get in touch with them to do some work, they would blow
me off. They ended up procrastinating until the very end. So, just before the project
was due, they contacted me to work. Luckily, I had done my part of the project, but I
had to work my fingers to the bone to help them finish up their portion of the work, so
we wouldn't fail.

We ended up working all night on the project and turned it in right at the deadline. This
really stressed me out and made me reconsider my stance on group work. From then
on, I made sure to get the job done as quickly as I possibly could. I also worked hard to
bring the rest of the group together so that I didn't have to stress about other people
making me fail.

I am champing at the bit to tell you all about my dream house, which I plan to share
with my boyfriend and our pets. I dream of living in a villa facing the sea, with
beautiful mountains behind it.

I want a home that will be big enough to make life comfortable for us, especially when
we host guests. Inside, 1 will have a huge living room that has a lovely fireplace.
My home will also have big French windows, so that I can see the view of the sea while
I'M, enjoying my house. I hope to have a large yard too, so that my pets can have a lot
of fun and get the
exercise that they need.

I think living by the sea would really suit my lifestyle. Right now, I am living in the city
and it isn't my cup of tea. Here, the houses are small, and there is no natural scenery to
take in. I love the way it feels to be surrounded by Mother Nature, so I know the house
will suit me to a T. I am certain the fresh air, and tranquil sounds of the ocean, will bring
me health
and happiness.

One of the most nerve-wracking times in t y life was when I was waiting to hear if I
had been accepted to university. There was one particular school I really wanted to
attend. I finally go the first indication that things might be going my way when I received
a notification by text.

I has just graduated from high school and I was trying my best to relax and spend some
time with my friends. However, I was anxiously awaiting news from my university of
choice. I wanted to attend this school with all my heart. Most of my friends had already
received notices and knew where they would be heading off to college. I was on pins and
needles.

Finally, I got a text with a tracking number notifying me that a letter from the
university was on its way. It didn't say if I was accepted or not, but I had a pretty good
feeling about it. Why would they bother to send a text unless the letter I was receiving
was really important, perhaps, even with enrollment documents. I was very excited.
Turns out I was right and I got into my top choice for university! My best friend was
also accepted which made the good news even sweeter.

Last winter, I went to North China for winter vacations. There I was able to acquire a
new skill with the help of a good friend.
A whole group of my friends and I planned a trip to North China for winter
vacations last year. Everyone wanted to go skiing. I was a little reluctant to go as I
don't know how to ski. However, all my good friends were going and I didn't want to be
left out of all the fun. I decided to put my fears aside and went on the trip. We rented a house
near the resort. I though I could just stay in the house and relax while everyone hit the
mountain but one of my best friends insisted, I come with them. He told me he would teach
me how to ski.

My friend is very athletic and a good instructor. I was very nervous at first and afraid my
balance would be off and I would lose control. However, he had me rent shorter skis and
practice going down the mountain slowly with my skis pointed in the shape of a "V". I was
able to get down the beginner slope with ease and pretty soon I was doing some steeper
runs. I fell a few times but I managed to recover nicely. I am very grateful to my friend
for teaching me how to ski. I've since become much better and skiing is now one of
my favorite winter activities. It's a great way to be dose to nature and deepen
friendship.

It is important to be polite. In fact, good manners hold together the fabric of society.
Often mishaps happen that require a cordial response. This past National Day holiday,
in fact, I was reminded of how good manners can save an awkward situation.

I was traveling on a crowded subway with my parents. I was standing next to an elderly
lady, probably in her 60s, who was drinking a large cup of hot tea. I thought it was an
odd choice for a crowded subway, but I did not say anything. Unfortunately
when the subway lurched forward the lady stumbled, and the hot tea event all over the
front of my jacket.

Fortunately, I was not scalded but I was a little taken aback. I also expected the old
lady to be defensive and blame me, as often older people do not want to admit their
fault. However, this lady immediately apologized. She said she was drinking tea as
she had a long subway ride and a sore throat. She was horrified she had spilled it on me
and offered to give me money so I could have my jacked cleaned. I was grateful for her
apology and told her not to worry herself too much about the incident.

Even the best laid plans can be disturbed by the elements of nature. Just this past
spring, in fact, my family had to delay an important occasion due to bad weather. My
older sister was getting married. She was insistent on having an outdoor wedding
in a garden. My parents cautioned her that she would be at the mercy of the weather,
but my sister was undeterred. She said she had always wanted to be married in a garden
surrounded by spring flowers. It was impossible to say no to her as it was her big day
after all, so we went along with her plan.

The day started off well, bright and sunny. Unfortunately, however, an hour before the
ceremony the clouds started to gather. Then the worst happened and it began to pour
with rain. The wedding had to be delayed by two hours. It was not an ideal situation
but we made the best of it. When the sky finally cleared and the sun came out the garden
looked fresh and beautiful. The ceremony went off without a hitch
and we got some gorgeous pictures. Despite the inconvenience, I am glad my sister
was able to have her dream wedding outdoors.

Have you ever heard of foldable houses? In China, there is a company called
Foldable Home, created by Chen Junhu. I learned about him from an article that
popped up on social media. After learning about his story, I was impressed by this young
entrepreneur.
Chen Junhu was a construction worker. When he was working on different
construction sites, he noticed how bad the living conditions were for the other workers.
They lived in simple lean-tos which often did not have power or plumbing. He decided
to do something. He started from scratch and learned how to build a house. After trial and
error, he successfully designed a type of mobile home that could be packed into a very small
parcel. It could be loaded onto a truck and moved to where it is needed.

When it is moved to the site, it could be unpacked within thirty minutes. Inside the foldable
house there are all kinds of utilities and it was very comfortable for the people living in it.
Besides, building such a foldable house was not very expensive, because many of the
materials were reusable. After reading about Chen Junhu, I really would like to meet this
creative and passionate young man.

When I was in college, I joined an organization called Sunny. This organization

recruits’ volunteers to go to local homes for the aged and take care of the seniors
living there. I went with them a few times and enjoyed the experiences.
The volunteers were mostly college students. They visit a home for the aged once a
month. Most of the people living there were alone, because their families either
passed away or lived too far from them. They were very lonely and liked our
company. Mostly we just checked on them and chatted with them. Some of the
seniors were too old to take care of themselves, so we sometimes needed to do many
things for them such as cleaning their room. We worked as a team and helped each other,
so the job was not too burdensome for anyone.

From this experience, I learned that every one of us will eventually become old. I hope
to maximize the time that I am young and try different things. I don't want to wait until
I am not able to move much anymore to say that I still wanted to try things. Instead,
I hope that I would 6ve a lot of memories then to live by.

It's a difficult decision trying to figure out one's path in life. I still remember when I was
a college freshman trying to figure out my major. I was able to turn for advice to a student
who had graduated the year before me.

When I started university, my parents suggested I consider following a path that would lead
me to a career in sales and marketing. To be honest, I was unsure about this. I didn't think I
was cut out for a career in sales. I knew that I could make a lot of money as a salesperson.
In fact, one of my roommates was friends with a young woman who had just graduated and
was raking in load of cash doing international sales. I decided to ask for her contact
information and get her opinion.
When I contacted her, this young woman was very frank with me. She told me
sales was not a career for everyone and her success came at a price. She said she
was under enormous pressure to make quotas, worked overtime and traveled a lot.
She told me she barely had any time for a social life. I appreciated her input. I liked the
idea of making a lot of money but I was still unsure that sales was right for me. I
decided to major in business but take an internship in a sales position at some point.

we were also required to put our phones away for a duration.

My friend and I wanted to break out of our routine and do something we had not done
before. She suggested we visit the local aquarium. I had not been to the aquarium
since I was a child and thought it was a great idea. We had a lot of fun that day. We
saw a variety of colorful fish. There was even a cold section where we could see
penguins and polar bears. We also got tickets to see the seal show.

As a requirement of view the seals perform, we had to put away our phones so we
would not take pictures. Apparently, the flashe from the cellphones really disturbes
the seals. Although I would have liked to take photos of the show as a
remembrance, I didn't mind not using my phone. I really enjoyed watching the seals.
They are very graceful when they
swim and can do many tricks. They also can interact with the audience and waved
and bowed to us.

The uniform I am going to talk about is a little unique, because it is also a costume. When
I was in high school, there was a very popular TV show. It was set in ancient times, and
some of the characters in the show wore soldier uniforms. I thought the uniform looked
really nice, so I searched on Taobao, the biggest online shopping website in China, and
found the uniform on sale.

Without thinking twice, I bought a set of the said uniform. However, after receiving it,
I started to regret my decision. The uniform has many small accessories, and it took
forever to put it on each time. Besides, since the uniform was not designed for everyday
use, it was not very comfortable to wear. I sweated a lot when I tried it on, and the
texture made it difficult for the sweat to evaporate.
The only good thing about the uniform was that it was indeed lovely. After putting
it on, I looked just like a soldier working in the imperial palace. I took a lot of
pictures wearing this uniform. After that, I sealed it up and put it away. Next time
before I buy something, I should think twice.

I am very interested in articles about health. Its important to stay in good shape, both
mentally and physically. That's why I often read articles on health topics.

I generally tend to read these articles on my phone when I am commuting on the

subway. It's a goo way to pass the time and learn important things about how to stay
healthy. Just last week, I read an interesting article about the importance of sleep.
This article caught my attention in particular as I often tend to bum the candle at
both ends because I am working so hard. I rarely get enough shut eye.

The article made the point that the process of sleep has a detoxifying effect on the brain.
In fact, deep RMP sleep helps prevent Alzheimer's and dementia. It is important as
well to go to bed before 11 pm and try to sleep at least 7 hours a night. I also read that
people can actually die from lack of sleep. This article really helped me think about my
priorities and
realized I needed to make sure I got to bed by 10 pm at the latest Many young
people these days stay up well past midnight and it is harming their overall health.
