Good Day!
Thank you for presenting me your instructional materials earlier this morning, however, I was not able to complete
my evaluation of the aforementioned. I respect and appreciate your years of experience in public education but as
your department chair, it is my duty and responsibility to ensure that the students are able to receive the best we
can offer as teachers and administrators. Thus, I write to you to give more detailed comments and
recommendations which you may want to consider.
The learning objectives you set address the three domains of learning that are suited to your college students.
The deepening discussion indeed addresses the first learning objective. The affective objective is really well
discussed in your synthesis. The performative objective challenges the students to become better teachers.
The activity you designed really developed the identified 21st century skills and the integrated values in the lesson
plan. It was very collaborative, cooperative and creative. The ‘Clay Relay’ activity tested collaborative skills to
accomplish the task on or ahead of time. It was really a perfect simulation of how the Goal-Free Method really
works.
The discussion questions are really aligned with the objectives set in the lesson plan. I really loved that in your
questions up to the performative task follows Anderson's Taxonomy. The five questions in the deepening test the
students knowledge, understanding, application ,analysis and evaluation of the topic.
The final activity of constructing a concept map showing the important points to remember in using
The Scriven Goal-Free Model in educational programs is really aligned with the ‘Creating’ part of Anderson's
Taxonomy.
Your brochure and powerpoint presentation are aesthetically pleasing and uses pleasing color schemes,
illustrations and images. Those were comprehensive and informative.
Overall, the learning materials were made with aesthetical and substantive quality. I just want to recommend that
you may use the clays available at the storage room so that we can lessen the cost of your activity, Clay Relay.
Thank you very much!
