JOLLIBEE FOOD CORPORATION – DASHBOARD

The purpose of the dashboard is to assess and show Jollibee Food Corporation’s Performance as well as to make
recommendations about how it can improve as it advances. This dashboard allows its viewers to simply obtain the
information regarding JFC’s financial performance without delving too much into the detailed financial data provided by
the company.
The dashboard is presented through pie charts, waterfall chart combined with bar chart and hierarchy chart
which include breakdowns of the related information. Numbers presented in the dashboard should be expressed in
millions.
The data will come from Jollibee Food Corporation’s Financial Statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet,
Cash Flows, etc.). The data currently presented in the dashboard are based from JFC’s Annual and Financial Statements
from the year 2010 up to 2019.
The following information can be seen in the dashboard:
a) JFC's capability of generating profits from its operations
b) How liquid or how easily JFC's assets can be converted into cash
c) Efficiency Ratios to measure JFC's ability to use its assets and manage its liabilities effectively. This includes JFC’s
Asset Turnover, Inventory Turnover as well as Fixed Asset Turnover Ratios.
d) Return Rates that shows the percentage increase or decrease over JFC's initial investment. It represents what JFC
earned or lost on that investment
e) Amounts of important figures in income statement and Balance sheet.
The following are the process involved to come up with the said dashboard.
1. Obtain data to be used. (FS)
2. Compute necessary information from FS (such as Ratios, profitability etc.)
3. Turn the data into table (Ctrl+T)
4. Using the table, Summarize with PivotTable (in design tab)
5. Using Pivot table Fields, drag specific data to be used in areas (Filter, column, rows, values)
6. Use Charts with the information generated from pivot table.
7. Repeat 5 and 6 for other kinds of information to be generated.

9. Drag and arrange the charts and timeline in a separate sheet (dashboard)
10. Design it according to preferences
Mostly, financial statements may seem too complicated in the eyes of a person who does not have any
background knowledge as to how to interpret the data presented. Therefore, this project, in relation to its purpose,
contributes to the better understanding of the viewers with regards to the trends of the company’s financial performance
without the need of spending too much time in trying to understand much more to hire experts to help in comprehending
the information from the company.
Keeping up with each other as to how the project will be done was probably the challenge in this activity. Given
that the members are in different situations where in some have internet connection problems, some don’t have access to
better equipment, and that we can only be able to do the task by communicating online, it’s really hard to cope with the
progress of the project. Not to mention, we also had to learn how to make the dashboard on our own by mostly watching
tutorials in the internet which is very different as to what we were used to. Furthermore, very few, if not one, has a good
background as to how the programs we need for the project work. Thus, most of us have the frustration of wanting to help
but are not able to because of these very conditions.
