TAXING POWERS OF THE PROVINCE

Tax Percentage
1. Real Property Ownership not exceeding 50% of 1% of the total consideration involved in
acquisition of the property or of the fair market value in case of
monetary consideration involved in the transfer is not substantial,
whichever is higher

2. Business on Printing and Publication not exceeding 50% of 1% of the gross annual receipts for the preceding
calendar year

*Newly Started Business: 1/20 of 1% of the capital investment


3. Franchise Tax not exceeding 50% of 1% of the gross annual receipts for the preceding
calendar year based on the incoming receipt, or realized, within its
territorial jurisdiction.
4. Sand, Gravel and Other Quarry Resources not more than 10% of the FMV in the locality per cubic meter

Proceeds of Tax shall be distributed as follows:


1. Province – 30%
2. Component City of Municipality – 30%
3. Barangay where resources are extracted – 40%
5. Professional Tax Not exceeding P 300.00
Payable annually on or before January 31
6. Amusement Tax not more than 10% of the gross receipts from admission fees
 Proceeds from amusement tax : Shared equally by the province
and municipality where amusement places are located
7. Annual Fixed Tax for Every Delivery Truck or Van not exceeding P 500.00
of Manufacturers or Producers, Wholesalers of,  Exempt from the tax on peddlers
Dealers, or Retailers in, Certain Products

TAXING POWER OF THE CITIES


 May exceed the maximum rates allowed for the province or municipality by not more than 50% except rates of
professional and amusement taxes
TAXING POWERS OF THE BARANGAYS
1. Taxes on stores or retailers with fixed business establishments not exceeding 1% on such gross sales or receipts
with gross sales receipts of the preceding calendar year of P
50,000.00 or less (cities) and P 30,000.00 or less
(municipalities)
2. Service Fees and Charges reasonable fees/charges
3. Barangay Clearance reasonable fee
 Application shall be acted within 7 working days
4. Other fees and charges: reasonable fee
a. Commercial breeding of fighting cocks, cockfights,
cockpits
b. Places of recreation which charge admission fees
c. Billboards, signboards, neon signs, and outdoor
advertisments
