Course Description

This course deals with the theories and principles of Architectural interiors and the analysis of anthropometric,
proxemic, and kinesthetics requirements of space in relation to Architectural Interiors.

Course Objectives

The course aims to provide students with sufficient knowledge on the decorations and ornaments of various
historical period; new trends in finishing materials and system of construction related to character of interior spaces;
theories and principles of architectural interiors geared towards a harmonious interior ensemble that is adherent to
accepted standards.

Intended Learning Outcome:


1. Understand and apply the theories and principles of Architectural interiors on the given interior space.
2. Apply the current fashion and emerging design trends, innovation, systems and detailing in Architectural
interiors.

Assignment # 1:

1. Like any other part of the home, the bathrooms are sensitive towards fashion and design trends. It’s just that
the novelties there are slower to come and more carefully considered because the investments in bathroom
redecoration are more substantial and need an excellent thought-true. What are the current trends in
bathroom design? Are there any specifics?

2. When researching and exploring the trends in color for bathroom design, we must note that the color palette
choice is not separate from the color selection for the rest of the homes design and very often it is an
essential part of the whole concept for the home’s decor. So which are the trendy colors when it comes to
bathroom design?

3. What can you say about the trends in tile ceramics?

4. Which colors and patterns of bathroom tiles are best to avoid?
