APROACH-APPROACH CONFLICT

SITUATION:

Arra must decide which food she will cook. She like both and eggplant. These foods are both good in her
diet. Because she wants to maintain her beautiful and sexy body.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

A. Egg(positive valence) = loaded with vitamins, minerals high quality proteins and good fats.
B. Eggplant(positive valence)= excellent amounts of fiber, folate potassium and manganese.

ACTION TAKEN:

Arra chose to cook toratang talong because she can get the nutrients she want from this food.
AVOIDANCE-AVOIDANCE CONFLICT

SITUATION:

Arra has a choice between not wanting to wash the dishes and not wanting to iron the clothes. Her mom ask
her to wash the dishes and iron the clothes or else she is grounded for a week.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

A. Negative valence = Not wanting to wash the dishes because it is very dirty.
B. Negative valence = Not wanting to iron the clothes of her mom and dad.

ACTION TAKEN:

Arra chose to wash the dishes first because her hand might get “pasma.”

APROACH-AVOIDANCE CONFLICT
SITUATION:

Arra and her friends went to the beach because of their anniversary .when arra watched her friends
swimming she was tempted to swim but she realized that when she was young she experienced being
nearly drowned.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

A. Positive Valence= she was tempted to swim and bond with her friends.
B. Negative Valence=she was scared because she nearly drowned when she was young.

Arra decided to wait her friends at the seashore and play volleyball.

DOUBLE APPROACH-AVOIDANCE CONFLICT


SITUATION:

Arra must decide where she wants to stay for one week. She like Baguio and Sagada. Choosing to stay at
Sagada means having fresh air and being able to see the caves with stalactites and stalagmites however it
also means not being able to have proper cell phone reception for her to post her selfies. Choosing to stay in
Baguio city means being able to access the mall and other necessities but it also means having to deal with
the city’s pollution.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:

A. Sagada
a. Positive Valence: Fresh air and being able to visit the caves.
b. Negative Valence: No cell phone reception.
B. Baguio
a. Positive Valence: Being able to access the mall and other necessities.
b. Negative Valence: Pollution

ACTION TAKEN:

Arra chose to stay in Sagada for one week because she really wants a place where she can relax and
meditate.
