    This study aims to analyze waste from adhesive materials used in bodyshop production at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia using value stream mapping. The research hypothesizes that analyzing added and non-added value in the current adhesive application process can identify ways to best manage waste and optimize material savings. The study will measure value-added versus non-value added activities, compare three adhesive application methods using jigs and fixtures, air pressure and temperature settings, and identify the optimal application method through physical observation.

    Title: Study of waste management for adhesive material at bodyshop of Mercedes- Benz Malaysia by using value stream mapping.

    Background & abstract - Background of the impact adhesive wastage to the production profit. How much wastage recorded compare to the
    usage of adhesive based on SOP.

    Problem statement

    Hypothesis:

    This research is mainly to find the amount of wastage by using added value & non added value on the current process and provide the best way
    to manage the wastage material in order to achieved the optimum material savings.

    Literature Review

    1. Application Method.
    2. Adhesive properties
    3. Setting parameter (temperature & air pressure) within specs.
    4. Jigs & fixture for improvement

    Methodlogy – measure the value added activity vs non-value added.

    - Use physical observation to identify the optimum method of sealant application.
