The Rutherford Board of Education will continue to offer courtesy/subscription busing for the 2020-2021
school year. To be eligible for the busing, students must be attending Pierrepont or Union School for the
2020-2021 school year.

The Union School bound bus will leave Pierrepont School at 7:30 a.m. with an arrival at Union School at
approximately 7:40 a.m. The bus traveling to Pierrepont School will leave from Union School at 7:50 a.m. with
an anticipated arrival by 8:00 a.m. At the end of the school day, a bus will leave Union School at 2:50 p.m. with
a 3:00 p.m. arrival at Pierrepont School. The bus returning to Union School will leave Pierrepont School at 3:10
p.m. with a 3:20 p.m. anticipated arrival. There will be no other drop-off or pick-up points.

There will be a $400 per child annual fee for the busing. Transportation is not required for elementary or
middle school students who reside two miles or less from their schools. Information regarding
transportation for students who reside more than two miles from Union School or Pierrepont School can be
found on our website. Go to www.rutherfordschools.org and click on <Departments>

To participate in the program, please complete the attached forms. The request form, permission form and
check (payable to the Rutherford Board of Education) must be mailed to:

The request form, deposit check of $100, and permission slip must all be received by The Department of
Buildings and Grounds (located at Pierrepont School) no later than Friday, June 19, 2020. Parents who
prefer to pay the full fee of $400 per student may do so at this time.

The balance of $300 must be paid no later than Friday, July 24, 2020.

Seats will be reserved on a first come first served basis. Should a seat not be available, your check will be
returned.

Bus passes and additional details will be distributed to parents prior to the opening of school upon receipt of
the balance of the annual fee.
