• Familiarize yourself with the various tabs in the program.
1. Continue with the file from the previous
lesson. Note the various tabs in the Ribbon Bar across the top of the screen.
2. Click on the view tab. Note the various
options in the Zoom functions box and test each function. These functions control how closely you are looking at the model.
3. In the Graphics View functions box, note the
various options such as Top, Right and Front; test each function. These functions control the direction from which you are viewing the model.

4. In the Appearance functions box, note the various options such as Wireframe, Material, and Translucency; test each function. These functions control how your model appears on the screen.
5. The Advanced Display dropdown menu
allows you to toggle various elements such as Cutting Motion, Entry Motion, and Retract Motion.
6. Note the various options in the Manager
functions box and test each function. This allows you to add or subtract the quick access manager tabs from the bottom of the screen.
7. Note the various options in the Display and
Grid functions boxes and test each function. These functions allow you to show or hide axes, gnomons, and grids.
8. Note the machine tab and the many options
inside of it. These functions allow you to select machines, definitions, material, simulation, G-Code, and more. After investigating the options in this tab, visit the other tabs to see what options are in each.

9. Right click in the workspace to bring up a menu with many commonly accessed functions.
10. On the Home tab, take note of several other
quick access menus such as Attributes and Organize.
