Currently, technology has become an essential tool for society, in such a way

that in the world many processes stop working without adequate technology.
Technology has evolved with very important advances; however, it has also
brought new problems such as the so-called "Digital divide". The technology we
have is conceived as useful, easy to use and intuitive with simpler processes
seeking to provide solutions to problems of all kinds, including the difficulties
that older adults have, without having much success, since they find it difficult to
learn to use it. It is evident that there is an aging of the world population,
therefore, it will be increasingly important to seek to satisfy the needs and
requirements of the elderly when designing systems and applications, thus
reducing their possible social isolation. In this research work, we seek to
contribute to the characterization of software development practices aimed at
generating inclusion environments for the elderly. This research is an important
contribution, because it allows defining a general shapeof the practices that developers
use to build applications that promote the social inclusion of older adults. In this way
new and existing practices can be described using this general form of practice. Thus,
other investigations that have as object of study this type of practices can use this
characterization as an analysis criterion..The results of this research are validated
through the description of practices, using the general form defined by a set of
characteristics.
