Directions: Innovations and emerging technology are transforming the world and the
everyday lives of each and every one of us. Those are inevitable in our everyday lives.
This is because life without technology is useless in today's complex world. But can
you imagine your life without technology? How can you spend a day without
technology? Write your insight/s about these two questions. Explain what society
would lose if there is no technology

Consider how humans who have acclimated to various sorts of technology will
manage in a world without it. It will become uninteresting if the world is free of
technology, and pupils will want to live in a world devoid of useful tools and
knowledge. Without technology, life today would be unimaginable. More than half of
the world's activities are now run by technology. Without technology, every sector
would collapse, making life on Earth difficult. Technology has several negative
consequences, some of which are harmful to one's health. Without technology, there
would be no social media, which may mean having to look for a new job or hobby,
saving time, and feeling less anxious. Another issue that would happen if technology
didn't exist is that we wouldn't be able to interact with our relatives or friends who
live far away in a timely manner.

Directions: Answer the following questions by writing on spaces provided.

1. Identify ten (10) applications that could be useful in your daily life as a student.
Explain the importance and uses of those applications.

A. Facebook.

Facebook's primary function is communication and information exchange. A social

networking platform that links people all around the world. By just starting the application,
I was able to obtain many types of information connected to politics, news, and even
current trends. It allows me to seek answer by only asking via status in my timeline or
even on Facebook pages. It also helps me find scholarship.

B. Messenger

Just like Facebook, messenger’s primary function is communication and information

exchange in a more specific way. Specific in a sense of simply asking and conveying
a question and information to someone. We have the option of asking a teacher,
classmates, family, or friends. May be used for instant messaging, photo and video
sharing, voice recording, group chats and file sharing. This application save time since
resources are supplied by SMS rather of being handed out by the teacher individually.
Online communication, such as messenger, can assist young people like us students in
developing and building social skills.

C. Google classroom

Teachers may utilize this application to interact with students, ask questions, and
provide assignments, assessments, quizzes, and examinations all from an one location.
Google Classroom has enabled digital learners to foster online learning in an
increasingly digital world in less than two years and counting. It is a free application
connecting students and teachers, collaborating and organizing among other things.

D. Zoom

Students may use Zoom to host virtual video and audio conferencing, webinars, live
chats, screen sharing, and other collaboration capabilities and also professors. More
instructional materials, learner flexibility, meaningful global interchange, equal
opportunity for students and teachers regardless of location, and cheaper
transportation expenses are just a few of the benefits of video communications in
education. Without this application, we can use alternative application like Google
meet.

E. Google meet

Its principal purpose is nearly identical to zoom; however, unlike zoom, this
application does not have a limit. This is a quick and simple method to communicate
with us learners via live video. Teachers use it to give courses, organize group
discussions, and simply to allow students and instructors to see one other's faces and
expressions. This application has a variety of features such as visual effects and a
background. Without this application, we can use alternative application like zoom.

F. YouTube

YouTube has long been included into lesson plans and curriculum to aid teachers in
better communicating their topic to students. This tool is used by us students to view
professors' lessons; if we are unclear about a certain topic, we just search for it to
learn and know more. This program also includes music and entertaining films, as
well as a variety of entertainment options. It lets students to see what is being taught,
which improves in their comprehension of the material .

G. Schoology

Schoology's application is excellent. It is beneficial for school, especially during

Corona virus quarantine, when we must learn from home. It serves as a central for all
of our files, assessments and learning outcomes.  The nicest aspect is that it has
limitless storage space. Import files, create new materials, and copy or move them to
any or all of our courses in an instant. Schoology has excellent assistance resources. I
used Schoology as a student and I appreciate all of the opportunities for sharing
information of all kinds and engaging in a variety of ways.

H. CamScanner

Students like us may use CamScanner to scan their homework or assignments with
their phones, save them as PDF or JPG files, and then submit them to Schoology,
Google Classroom, or any other platform that supports the CamScanner app. As a
student, I frequently utilize this tool, particularly when I'm taking a quiz or an exam
and my professor at EDA requires a pdf version. What I appreciate best about it is that
I can use smudging to quickly eliminate any needed errors in my assignments by
smudging.

I. Camera

A camera is an application that captures a vivid representation, a device for recording

an image of an object, and its job is to capture images and photography in general.
Because I grew up with technology, they'll naturally gravitate toward activities and
classes that combine various components of it. It is quite beneficial in a variety of
subjects, particularly physical education and art appreciation. I was able to follow
through. Now that we are in the midst of a pandemic, the only alternative is to attend
class online. However, I have a malfunctioning camera, which makes it difficult
because I have to borrow phones from my brother and sister when I need a camera.

J. CapCut

CapCut is an unrestricted fully - featured video editing application that has assisted
me in creating some incredible videos. Actual clips can be edited, reversed, or sped up
or down. I realized that the program is quite user-friendly and has a lot of interesting
features. It's fairly popular these days, as even primary school children may use it to
practice video editing. It helps me create a high-quality, demanding video to present
to my instructors, and it includes some incredible transitions, filters, and other options
that make the tape cooler and more appealing. It's also easy to use because the
application comes with tutorials that show us how to use some of the features before
we start editing.

2. Discuss how the community teaching/learning Science can be enhanced with use of
information technologies.

Technology, without a doubt, makes learning more participatory, and hence more
intriguing and easy to remember. Technology may help students grasp
difficult concepts and provide view into science, allowing them to see science
research in progress. Children may study at their own level because of technological
advancements in education especially with the effective use of information
technology. Learners who require further time of learning can spend more time going
over activities until they comprehend them, while students who are easy to
comprehend can proceed to next level of learning. New technologies can assist the
public in comprehending science and bringing ideas that were previously confined to
the pages of old learning materials. Technology may integrate visualizations, analytic,
and actual facts collecting with a whole program that allow community to acquire,
organize, and present information.

3.Identify two other technological advancements during the present time and describe
how each of them contributes to societal development.

 Advanced technology will continue to revolutionize our lives and the way we do
business, opening up tremendous opportunities for businesses all around the
world. AI is used in a range of applications, including image and speech
recognition, ride-sharing apps, mobile personal assistants, navigation apps, and a
variety of others. Apart from that, AI is utilized to analyze interactions in order to
reveal previously unnoticed links, as well as to predict facility demand in real
time in order to manage resources and identify dynamic trends among clients.
Edge computing is a newer technology that guarantees low latency and quick data
processing. Edge computing brings calculations closer to data storage systems,
resulting in better application performance.

 Would there have been any new technological advancement without the invention
of electricity? Clearly not. Electricity has not only fueled decades of new
inventions, but it has also evolved into an indispensable utility in modern life.

daily lives, let us do an activity called “Timing Your Technology”. List all
technologies that you use every hour, and state your purpose of using this technology.
You should start from 6:00 AM until 7:00 PM. Use the table below to take
note how long or how frequent you use each technology. Make a reflection about this

Doing this activity has made me understand how important technology is in my life.
Almost everything I do in an hour, minute, or even second is tied to what we now
refer to as technology. Imagining a world without technology makes me think of
survival.
