What will the environment be like in 2050? What we can

do to prevent climate change?

Thinking positive and negative can both impact our life

decisions as well as our vision and opinions towards
everything and that being positive is better than the
other one. With that, the environment will be more
beautiful than in today’s situation. Challenging
situations like what we are experiencing as well as
seeing and hearing about our dying world makes us feel
hopeless, but I remember the time and lesson that my
family and also my teachers thought me that challenging
situations and obstacles are part of our life and that
we should not be affected to it so we can make change to
the situation we are dealing with today and also in the
future. It’s important to focus on things positively no
matter how big the problem is. I know that the past is
unlikely to be restored but the present is yet to come,
it is up to us if we make the future as beautiful as we
have experienced in the past times. It’s not too late,
we can change the things what others think is
impossible. Since the spread of images of scientists
abroad staging a protest to be able to inform the world
of the current state of the world, I started noticing
people all over the social media platform shows their
concerns towards the current state of the earth. Some of
them take some steps and start to raise awareness about
the situation, some of social media influencers such as
Mr. Beast and Donnalyn Bartolome starts to plant trees
in open areas that doesn’t have any traces of trees,
some of them helps to contribute in raising funds in
planting and reproducing trees. One of the best example
of these is when they introduce the website of Ecosia
which is a search engine identical to google, but this
site donates 80% of its profits to nonprofit
organizations that focus on reforestation. As of now,
the total number of combination of trees that are
planning to plant and that are already planted are more
than 148.5 million. By searching with Ecosia, I've
learned that we’re not only reforesting our home but
we’re also benefited in it in terms of our studies and
personal interest.

Only one thing is for sure, the environment will be very

different when the 2050 comes.

I know for sure, it will require the efforts of billions

of people working together to overcome the problem we
are experiencing today, small things matters and that it
still contribute for the betterment of the world. As of
February 2021, more than 50 million tons of hazardous
waste had been thrown away globally and there are
over 7.9 billion world population as of April 2022
according to the most recent United Nations estimates
elaborated by Worldometer. Imagine, for 1 US tons there
are 907.185 kg. If we compute it in our calculator, 50
million tons multiply by 907.185, we have 4.5(greater)
trillion kilos of hazardous waste all over the world. If
that 7.9 billion people starts to pickup trashes at
least a kilo per week. For at least a year, expect the
world will be back at its own self again where
everything is normal and that we are not living of this
world full of worries and fears thinking for at least 3-
5 years the earth will start to die.

Who knows, what if we do better than in the past right?

The flowers will bloom again, the trees will stand
taller and the mountains will be much greener than its
usual appearance.

Don’t loose hope, always remember that we have experts

that are knowledgeable in the situation. All we need to
do is to accept it, listen to them and start to make a
change even if you're alone. Show them that you can do
it for them to reflect and start to believe in their
selves too.

Climate refers to the long-term average/normal

temperature, humidity, atmospheric conditions, air
condition and pressure, snowfall, rain fall  in a given
area of the Planet's surface. Different places have
different climate, some place may be sunny, and some
place are cold. Climate change is defined as a
transition in a location's normal weather conditions. It
is due to a change in the amount of precipitation that a
location usually receives annually. It could also be a
change in a location's constant temperature for a period
or season. Response to variations in the Earth's
climate. Additionally  it could   be due to the change
in the average global temperature. The weather changes
in a matter of hours and days. Climate change can take
hundreds or even millions of years and it is not a joke.
For it to change that slow makes me think on how to
bring it back to its old self.

Our planet takes care of us for more than a million of

years now, it’s time for us to return the favor. We can
help prevent the climate change by starting to change
our selves first, our way of living and our way of
treating the environment. By conserving the resources
that we have right now such as water, electricity, foods
and energy are such a big help for our environment.
Deleting unnecessary emails can also be a big help to
stop the change. If we learn more about our planet then
the more we can help aid climate problems. Make less
trash, follow the proper way of segregating waste and do
the 3R’s which are the(reduce, reuse, recycle). If we
have time, try to walk or use bike to avoid air
pollution. Help plant trees in your community or even in
your backyard and help raise awareness in social media
platforms.
