How to be a Global Citizen

A global citizen is not a concept we can define as one thing, but one of the most
precise ways of describing what is a global citizen is someone who is aware of and
understands the wider world, and this is one of the most important concepts to
understand if we want our world to better. Young people should become the
future global citizens of the world, it is not an easy task, due to the fact that you
must develop different skills, but if for the people who are able to develop it, it will
become something really positive in their lives, and it would be something positive
in the society.

Being an ideal global citizen must include the passion for accepting others beside
yourself. If people would inquire the customs of others we would have a better
understanding of one another. With that, it could avoid children growing up to
typical stereotypes, or blaming others for dilemmas in the world. In general, it’s
really a commonality we share with foreign countries, its just done slightly
different. Moreover, in what is seen, a global citizen is that of people putting aside
religion and political views that cause so much controversy in the world we live in.
What should be recognized are morals and common views that everyone can
somewhat seem to agree on.

A Global citizenship is the desire to ‘fix’ the world, The significant problems we
have would not be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created
them. Global citizenship is attacking issues with higher thinking. It is different
ways of thinking and living within multiple cross-cutting communities—cities,
regions, states, nations, and international collectives. There is more to the term
global citizenship than we would think. Global citizenship is a way of life and
practice essentially. Just as religion is a way of life and practice so is being a global
citizen.

First, there are some benefits of becoming a global citizen, one of the most
important is that the world is becoming more globalized every day, with media
and technology allowing ideas and cultures to cross borders faster than ever
before. What’s more, international politics and international relations create
systems in which we all live, and we’re all responsible for the health and future of
the planet, and if you become a global citizen, you will be able to get adapted to
this revolutionary system in a better way. Becoming a global citizen has only
benefits, there is no negative effects of becoming a global citizen, so, kids and
young people should be aspiring to becoming it.
The things mentioned before where the benefits of becoming a global citizen, but if
it has so many benefits, it could not be an easy task. So, people who wants to be a
global citizen should be motivated and without the mindset of giving up, because,
otherways, these people would not be able to reach their goal. You would have to
do a lot of things if you want to become a global citizen, but also, there it is a big
reward for all that effort and dedication, so it would be easy to be motivated to
work for that goal and use those rewards as a motivation to keep going.

To become a global citizen, you should get inspired by the desire of changing and
fixing the world, then get educated, so this way, you could understand more about
your own environment. After that, your should do a lot of things, like reding to
expand your vocabulary and also learn about culture, people, religion and social
relationships, also, eating is a very good way to learn about this world, but to do it,
you should eat traditional food from different countries, that might explain their
way of living, the animals they eat, the vegetables they eat, and also, it might
explain something about their economic status. And the last thing you should do
to become a global citizen is to go abroad and make friends. This is the most
important thing, because you would learn and experience different ways of living,
different cultures and different food.

In conclusion, becoming a global citizen is not an easy task, because you have to do
a lot of things, but the positive thing about It is that most of those things are fun,
so, I encourage kids and young people to live their lives as they should, learning
about people, having an incredible time and also, experiencing different cultures.
Start recycling NOW!
In the actuality, our school is having a really thought time with recycling, almost
everyone is just throwing away the things they don’t use, and they are not
interested in recycling, so, I must encourage the people that are doing it to read
this news report and learn about all the problem they cause with throwing their
things and not recycling.

Global Warming
Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth’s climate system observed since
the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities,
primarily fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels
in Earth’s atmosphere. The term is frequently used interchangeably with the term
climate change, though the latter refers to both human- and naturally produced
warming and the effects it has on our planet. It is most commonly measured as the
average increase in Earth’s global surface temperature.

Waste generated everyday in the Pacific region contains readily biodegradable

organic matter such as kitchen waste, garden waste and paper, which on average
accounts for about 58% of the total weight of waste generated. In some of the larger
cities, the amount of organic waste accounts for almost 70% of the total waste
generated. Most of this rubbish ends up in dumpsites or in landfills. When organic
waste decomposes, carbon dioxide and methane gas is created. Methane is created
when there is no air present while carbon dioxide is the natural product when
anything rots in air. Both carbon dioxide and methane are greenhouse gases, which
contribute to global warming and climate change.

Waste and global warning could be reduced if people recycle

Recycling helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing energy

consumption. Using recycled materials to make new products reduces the need for
virgin materials. This avoids greenhouse gas emissions that would result from
extracting or mining virgin materials. In addition, manufacturing products from
recycled materials typically requires less energy than making products from virgin
materials.
Recycling is one of the most eficcient ways of reducing waste, and by reducing
waste, we would reduce global warming and contamination, but there are other
things to reduce it, and one of them is smart shopping, which is the concept of stop
buying things you don´t need to reduce the waste you make.
Waste prevention and smart shopping are even more effective at reducing
greenhouse gas emissions that result from energy consumption. When we buy less
or reuse products, less energy is needed to extract, transport and process materials
to manufacture products. Purchasing products made from recycled materials, such
as paper, plastics, and metal, instead of virgin materials also helps to reduce
energy consumption. In addition, waste prevention and recycling paper products
allows more trees to remain standing, where they can continue to remove carbon
dioxide from the atmosphere.

We don´t have a lot of time

We should start now
Contaminants in the environment can look and smell pretty nasty, but their
impacts go beyond just aesthetics. Some pollutants resist breakdown and
accumulate in the food chain. These pollutants can be consumed or absorbed by
fish and wildlife, which in turn may be eaten by us. Chemicals can also get into
sediments, impacting large coastal areas, threatening human health, and reducing
the economic well-being of regions that depend on a healthy coastal environment.
Harmful chemical pollution and excess nutrient runoff are serious threats to the
coastal environment. NOS scientists are conducting research to help detect and
predict how this pollution will impact coastal resources. For example, at
the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science, scientists are evaluating the effects
of single contaminants and contaminant mixtures, conducting toxicity-testing with
single species, and conducting research in controlled conditions to assess
contaminant impacts on biological communities. Scientists are also looking at how
environmental and human stressors impact bottlenose dolphin populations.

pollution particles of industries that burn waste eventually fall back to Earth. Air
pollution can directly contaminate the surface of bodies of water and soil. This can
kill crops or reduce their yield. It can kill young trees and other plants.

Sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide particles in the air, can create acid rain when
they mix with water and oxygen in the atmosphere. These air pollutants come
mostly from coal-fired power plants and motor vehicles. When acid rain falls to
Earth, it damages plants by changing soil composition; degrades water quality in
rivers, lakes and streams; damages crops; and can cause buildings and monuments
to decay.

Conclusion
We should start recycling right now at school, otherwise, we would be able to
prevent a lot of waste and a lot of contamination which, if we don’t do anything,
this would repercuss in our environment, our planet and our health.
